*******February mummies 2015*******

I'm planning an extremely short stay in hospital (fingers crossed) so only packing for one night..however will have a reserve bag for hubby to pick up if we are in longer.

Been getting quite painful Braxton hicks tonight from about 8pm and still going....no specific times so seems quite random, sometimes it's close together and sometimes it's not. Weird as I never had any at all the first time round. Anyone else getting them? X

Ment to say MrsT still thinking of you. You seem to be in a really good frame of mind and I look forward to your updates x

Hope you're ok MrsT.

Starlight...braxton hicks all over the place for a few weeks now.never got them with oth 2 pregnancies.

It's weird how different this one has been!

Hey girls,

So I actually had a growth scan yesterday as dr was worried about size of the baby so was good timing with being ill too. She said there's loads of bugs going round and thinks I've just picked something up as run down etc. I've been working loads over Christmas and new year (work in Finance and it's year end so no choice) and had all the usual parties and stuff on. She's signed me off for a couple of days so that's good, think I need the rest. Baby has actually been really active so that's reassuring.

In terms of my scan it went well, everything good with baby. It's measuring a wee bit bigger than normal but nothing major, said its in the 56th percentile but has long legs. Hubby and I both tall so to be expected. Position is transverse though and now I feel like it's moved back to fully breech so need to really get on my exercises to get the wee thing moving.

In other news my sister and friends threw me a surprise baby shower yesterday. It was lovely and was so overwhelmed with all the amazing gifts we got.

MrsT it sounds like you're getting well looked after, been thinking about you loads. Hope you and wee Dexter are ok xxx

Starlight I am getting loads of Braxton hicks this time. Mainly in the evenings when I rest but some of them are definitely a little painful. Not sure if it means anything or not?
MrsT thinking of you this morning.

Ive been having LOADS of braxton hicks aswel and mine have mostly been in the evening once im resting. They haven't been painful as of yet but bump gets very hard and tight. Mentioned to mw and she said it was completely normal and body was just preparing for birth x

Same mrs johnson, I get them more if I walk the dog.

Hope all ok mrst, hopefully you slept ok!

Hi girls. Thank you for all your thoughts. Slept much better last night as did hubby which is good. Dexter has been quiet this morning so went on the monitor and he's ok. Heart seems to be skipping more beats but will have a scan again today before seeing the consultant tomorrow. Dr not worried about the skipping beats atm unless it starts to show evidence of hydrops which is some form of heart failure from what we can gather.

Hope everyone's ok.

Xxx

Glad you slept ok MrsT, sounds like they're looking out for you and dexter too x

Dr not being worried is always a good sign :). Glad you slept well, you'll need it once little dexter is born ;) xxx

Glad you had a good night mrs T.

Well I've done it.... Baby stuff is out of the loft and one just spent the past hour separating out all the neutral stuff I had for Harry (we're team yellow with him too) and the result is that I def do not need to buy any vests or sleep suits. Here's my pile of washing to do!!

These do go up to 6 months though. And I'd forgotten how small some of his early things were (even though he was a chunk!!)

I had a nice going home outfit lined up for Harry, but he never got to wear it as he was too big for it!! So hoping it may get used this time around!!

Wow Becky lots of stuff and lots of washing looks like u been busy

Hope mrst ok thinking of u xx

Glad you're being looked after Mrs T!

Definitely not short of outfits there Becky! We bought quite a bit today toiletries and clothes wise. I finally found a nice lightweight black dressing gown for my hospital bag but they didn't have my size! Is anyone else struggling with this?

There's actually no outfits in there- just vests and sleep suits, but up to 6 months.

I'd forgotten how much we had. Have to say glad we bought so much plain stuff first time round, will make it lots cheaper this time

And I love babies in white sleep suits- they grow up too quick so I want to keep them as babies for as long as possible!!

I got a dark dressing gown and nightie set from mothercare when preggo with Harry. Have alook on eBay as some sellers do mothercare stuff on there x

Lots of washing, but far easier than normal clothes!!

My little boy was insistent earlier that he was still a baby, and could fit in the car seat

My DH and I have decided to maybe start again with the pram hunt!

This has sent me ever so slightly into a panic! Aargh!

My OH sorted all our stuff out last week.
OMG how much stuff can 1 tiny little bean have??
Its filled his bedroom anyway lol x

MrsT as the other ladies have said, if doc is happy then all is positive so far. Best place for the little guy is in your tummy ^-^ Keep that sleep up!

Becky, Lovely pile you got there ;) The best bit is after it's washed, dried and ironed, stroking each piece as you put it away! :D Your lil'un is soo cute! ^-^

Baby_C, nope, primark had tons when I last went in there. Got myself a fluff lined half length one but they had the super huge and the lightweight ones in there for around £8.

I tell ya what, hats off to all of you ladies still working. A few hours on my feet and I'm done, seriously. Cooked a roast this evening and im bloody knackered :( Getting on the floor to play with my son (rather getting back up) is now a mission in itself and Im beginning to wait til my bladder is at exploding point before deciding to drag my butt upstairs for a wee. Ugh.
I wasn't like this last time lol Please tell me I'm not the only one!? xXx

What I'm struggling with is my bladder too, does anyone else need a wee but only pee a bit and then it's like baby gets in the way and I have to wiggle and wait?!

Three more weeks of work, tired just thinking about it lol!

Yeah, my wees are like that. Most pointless 'ppsssssss' in the world :( Especially when it wakes you from a nice cozy sleep. Huff. Lol

3 more weeks!!?? Hooowww???

This is the last week at work for me and it can't come quick enough! I'm seriously pooped after a day there and the long walk back to the staff car park. I tend to be peeing more during the night averaging about 4 trips now and know what u mean about the wiggle and wait jazz!
