December 2018 Testing Thread

Hi guys i wondered what science was behind sore nipples (not boobs just nippes) 1dpo + but 8dpo and today (9 dpo) it seems to have stopped :(

Sore boobs/nipples don't really mean anything, you can get them no matter what. x

Hi girls!
I see a lot of bad news since I was here last :(
I have a question... I really don't know for sure when I ovulate, cause it always seems a bit different (most of the months its cd17/18)... This month I had a VERY positive opk on cd14 and had some ovulation cramps. Unfortunately, I didn't bd cause I am being sooooo cranky past few days and just start constant arguments with DP so I wasn't in the mood.. Yesterday was cd15 and I had negative opk (I think so, my urine might not have been the best for a test...) and we dtd last night.. but I feel like I have missed my chance :/ I hate that I can never know for sure when I ovulate :(

Zeni I am the same. We are ov buddies and this cycle I don’t know what’s going on. I got 2 high opks yesterday at CD14 and a low one this morning. I reckon it may get darker again today hopefully.
I would carry on with the opks until normal ov days and keep on DTD every other day until you see a peak OPK and then do it for the next 3 days. X

Hi Emma and Char! So if I have positive opk I can actually ovulate after that (with negative opk)? It's so confusing, I wish they invented a device to show the exact moment we ovulate :P

That's right, they say you will usually ov 24-48 hours after your first positive OPK. Defo keep OPK testing though for a few days to make sure you don't get any further positives. x

When you get a peak opk you can ovulate between 24-48 hours after that peak. It doesn't mean because you get a peak you are ovulating right then. That's why they say when you get your peak you baby dance for the next 3 days after. Hope that makes sense xx
