*August Mummys - Our Tri3 Thread*

Hi :) I thought I would pop in and see how the August mums were I no im not in tri 3 any more but im missing it! Any guesses on who will be next x

Hi Jazz, how's little Layla?...

No idea who will go next, emerald nearly had a close call the other day, but it could be anyone of us! I've got to wait till friday after my scan to find out! I did have a dream last night that this LO was born 3 weeks and 3days early which would make it thursday! Lol

Xx

Its getting scarily close now :) I can't wait to meet baby. We paid off our babyplan for the pram on Friday and thats getting delivered in 2 weeks, i can't wait to play with it and practice. Then hopefully baby should be here.

I've been having some tightenings and little niggly pains now and again but nothing to worry about am just glad its all getting started :)

Hope everyone else is ok. In my Bounty Group we have had 10 August babies born already, 3 sets of twins and 4 single babies, so so cute :) x

Ooh... On the subject of pre-labour signs has anyone had anything??
Other than the pains I've been getting only thing I've had is the need to poo... Constantly ... xx

I'm the same katie, pains and poo's..lol

My OH is soo impatient now, much more than me!! Not long to go girls, there was quite a few early july babies so here's hoping august is the same! X

Same here hun, my boyfriend is moaning about the amount of loo roll we're going through. I've had some tightenings and couple niggly pains now and again but thats it. At least its all starting though. I've got my 37 week appt on Wed so hopefully babs is starting to engage and ready to go :)

Hi gang

Not been on for a few days, was doing some temp work last week so was absolutely knackered and fell straight into bed most nights, need to have a proper catch up on the forum and see what's going on!

Kel - you ok after your emotional day? My MIL is a nightmare too :hugs: How's your little monkey?

Emerald, how you getting on at your Mums?

All OK my end, still got quite bit of pressure which feels like groin strain and am pretty much needing to pee ALL the time, but I think I'm the only August Mummy who is happy to go overdue  I honestly don't mind as Al and I are enjoying our last summer just us two so I feel bad wishing it away, if that makes sense? Got the last bits for my bag now (minus a nursing bra) so want to get everything packed next week (have been saying this for weeks but I MUST do it as I've only got one more week til full term, gulp!)

x

Wondered where you had been!! But yes I'm fine thanks now, after my emotional day, stupid woman! She is not even talking to either of us now! O well, I'm sure I'll get over it! Hehe... My little monkey is doing ok, pains have gone now, well its not constant anymore, just comes in waves! MW at hospital keep feeling my tummy and checking the CTG and asking if I was getting any tightenings, so not sure if she was picking anything up, but I'm still here so not sure! Will see what tomorrows CTG picks up! Had a dream last night that little man was born 3weeks and 3days early, which would make it thursday! Lol. I can't wait till friday now, just want to know if he is coming out or not!!

How has work been? Did u enjoy it (if that's possible) xx

I have been popping on very quickly but have been so knackered and lazy - story of my life at the mo! Glad you're feeling better, god MIL's are too much. Mine is signed off work at the mo and on bloody valium!
Hope you get on OK tomorrow, I still think he's coming in July - but Thurs, OMG, can you imagine?!

I actually dreamt for the first time I had a girl! I've dreamt twice about the baby before but I've never known the sex as they've always had a yellow hat on but on Friday I dreamt it was a girl and she had Al's eyes... the weird thing was though that she later turned into a kitten...!

Work was OK, couldn't do anymore though even though money was good - feet was swollen at the end of the day each day and when I finished on Thursday I was getting sharp pains right up my foof every few steps and had to ask Al to come & pick me up - he was too far away so I talked to him on the phone all the way home - normally only 10 mins but I waddled at about 1mph and it took AGES!

I have laid off the RLT as well, had one cup the other day but might leave it til at least 37w then maybe just have one cup a day x

Bet that was horrible walking home with them pains.. At least you are finished now, I feel for you with the swollen feet, about 2 weeks ago I had huge elephant feet, my legs were as thick as my feet and ankles.. Was disgusting!

So is your MIL bothering you since she has been off? She came up with any more outrageous name choices? I'm sure we were talking about this way back in Tri 1.. OMG can u believe we are 36 weeks.. Where has the time gone!

You dreamt you had a girl, do u think ur having a girl then? Let's hope she doesn't turn into a kitten.. Talking about kittens, my cat is walking around with a soft toy kitten in her mouth, meowing, purring and licking the poor thing! Surely she must know its not a real kitten..lol xx

It goes so quick don't it, can't believe its nearly august already! I'm getting so excited now! Aw bet the baby was soo cute, did you get all excited to meet little poppy? I know I do when I see newborns! :)

Less than a month to go!! :) xx

Yep! We both got really excited, we just can't wait to meet her now. You forget just how tiny newborns are.

We bought our cot today :) Well, the in-laws did. We've been SO lucky - they've bought us our travel system AND the cot/mattress. We went for a cot bed so it will last her.

I've been getting period type cramping pretty much everyday now for the past two weeks or so. Also shooting pains in my cervix, and lower backache. Got a midwife appointment on tuesday, then it will be a week until I find out my induction date.

Eeek scary.. I'm at MW tuesday to :) so induction is a definite for you then!! I wonder when you will be induced?? Like I said before I just want friday to come, so I know whether he is coming out or not! I keep thinking will he be here this time next week? O well not long to go till I find out I suppose! How you feel about little one coming early? Scared, excited? Xx

Definitely excited! Just can't wait now! :) I've got a feeling my induction date will be 4th August, but we'll see!
Are you excited at the possibility of your LO being here next week?
xx

That's 18days away! :)...Yes definitely excited (if it happens) but I'm a bit scared as to how little man will be.. I know everyone says he will be fine but still can't help but worry, he hasn't even gone past brookes birth weight and that was nearly 3 weeks ago (she was born at 33wks)!! I'm sure everything will be fine tho, he has had steroid injections and I had them a good few weeks ago now, so I hope the only problem I get will just be trying to find something to fit him :) xx.

kellyhook- Layla is doing really well turned out she had a 24 hour tummy bug other day she has been opening her eyes more to, sounds like there will be alot of labour watches soon!

It was - so uncomfortable - think baby is really low, again think MW may have got it wrong when she said the head was no longer engaged...

MIL is just a bit nuts at the mo, rang the other day to say she was concerned we thought she wasn't fit to look after baby... then went on to say she was on valium! Firstly, I wouldn't ever leave baby with her, esp in the first few months and secondly, what am I supposed to say when she tells me she's on valium?!?!?! Mental. No more crazy names, we told her we had totally diff taste and not to bother anymore!

I have no clue what I'm having! I am desperate to know now though, I think cause Al wants a girl I am maybe leaning towards the fact it might be a girl... Mum says I'm carrying like she carried me and on my Mum's side for the last three generations all the women have had girls first... eeeeek!

Awww, bless your cat! I love mine to bits, hope they are going to be ok when LO arrives xx

I'm sure they will be fine, just got to watch them around little one, have been told that they are drawn towards the smell of milk!

Was it the same midwife? It has made me laugh, remember I said the other day a MW measured me at 36cm.. Well the day after I got measured at 33cm and 4 days after that I was back to measuring 31-32cm .. So I now take no notice in what my measurements are!! Lol
Little man is still free, I can actually feel the MWs wobble his head side to side when they check his position!!

I'm quite excited to find out if you have a little girl or boy! :) and when they will arrive!

Xx

Aw glad she is doing ok now! How's her feeding, is she still sleeping all day and waking every half hour for feeds? Xx

Hi girls! Im super tired, out of puff due to cold, SPD not too bad so all in all doing ok. I have been thinking about the idea of reusable nappies. In my area they can give you a "loan" of different types to see if you like them. Also get £30 cash back if you spend £50 or over on them or your health visitor does a note confirming you are using them. I used them with Joshua for first 3 days in hospital as they were provided free and taken away to launder and I did really like them. Ive been looking on little lamb website and look good and quite reasonably priced. Only problem is to decide which type to get and not spend too much initially in case I hate the faffing about and decide to switch to disposable. I think ill give it a whirl....washing machine on loads anyway with a baby with vests, sleepsuits, muslin squares etc so its just a wee extra in load.... Im really interested in all your thoughts on this. I used disposable last time with josh and was loads of leaks, kept having to switch pampers to huggies depending on size. Shop own brands not very nice I thought but its been 5 years so maybe better now. Thoughts? Advice?
