*August Mummys - Our Tri3 Thread*

eeekkk Emerald hope your ok :hugs:

i haven't got midwife till friday, and really want to find out if little man is engaged yet! sometimes it feels like he is but most of the time i don't have any pressure so really not sure!

Songbird, i don't want to go over due! but am starting to really feel like i'm going too! so i still think it will be you first!

hope everyone else has had a good day!

Yer its not bad I used to leave mine to brew to!! £4 where did you buy them from, tesco sell them for £1 something.. Xx

Was Holland and Barrett cause our Tesco didn't have them... But it was just under £4 cause was £1 something for 20 then on offer of buy 1 get 1 half price... So £3 something for 40 bags... Didn't think it was too bad xx

Just looked at the receipt and she's charged me for 60 when I only got 40 :mad: I'm going in there and kicking up a fuss tomorrow! They can look at the cctv for proof I only got 2 boxes :mad::mad: x

Hope your ok emerald.... How often are you getting contractions!! Keep us updated!!

Theses August babies are very naughty!!!

Katie, I did think you perhaps got them from H&B... Definitely go back!! Xx

I keep getting a lot of pressure in my pelvis spoke to the midwife and she said it sounds like she keeps bobbing in and out of being engaged.:roll:
I seriously think after all the scary stuff she is going to come late and probably on my birthday maybe we should start a vote thread on who will go first lol Im ure you will beat me to the finish line

Hope everything's ok Emerald!

And we're going back tomorrow... The bint didn't even tell me the price just held her and out for the money... Makes me think she knew she did it! x

hoping Emerald is ok

Woohoo for 37weeks!! Scary to think I might have my little man before I turn 37weeks! Xx

:dance::dance:

I'm getting my home birth

:dance::dance:

Midwife is happy to book me in and is coming round to do my homebirth talk on sunday afternoon :)

Also have a supervisor come round next week sometime to discuss birth plan, risks, benefits and plan of action incase something goes wrong :)

I'm a happy bunny today

:dance::dance:

Oh yehh, and the pains I've been getting are my cervix changing, moving into position and Francesca wriggling her way further down. She said not every woman suffers with bad pains cause of it but the unlucky few just have to put up with it :(

I've gotta get Francesca to change sides as well cause at the moment her back is to my right and MW said that I'll have a faster, easier labour if her back's to my left... So lots of laying on my left over the next few weeks!!

:D:D xx

Great news about your home birth!! That's fantastic, as that's what you want so surely if your comfortable in your surroundings you should be more calm making your labour and birth experience easier for you!

Glad you found out about the pains, wondering if that's what's causing mine, as doctor said my cervix was quite low considering I've still got 5week left, so my cervix is up to something!! Lol

Xx

It kind of feels like someone shoving a knife upwards for me... That's how MW said a lot of people explain it as well... xx

ouch!
i get this too, but my MW says I am not nearly engaged, my bump is still quite high up, and i think still breech...

my pains in my groin area and around my thighs is SPD (pelvic ligament pain) and really bother me if i carry heavy bags or walk too much.

It is better when i rest, sit with legs together, legs not elevated... maybe this would help you too?

all the signs suggest you might come early, don't they?
i am jealous, as we have such close due dates, i reckon i'll be waiting weeks longer than you though! :whistle:

Hi ladies i got discharged about an hour ago.
Contractions were 4-5 mins apart when i went in but i hadnt started to dilate. I was put on a drip to slow down labour and a steroid injection. I have to rest so me and the kids are staying with my mum untill baby arrives.

Glad you're ok hunni :hug:

Make the most of having a good rest before your LO comes :) xx

We went to an all-day Labour & Birth Workshop today. It was okay but pretty much covered everything I already know, but was still interesting to hear a new mum's labour story (she volunteered to come in and talk to us and also bought her super cute newborn with her, 2 weeks old!).
I'm going to a breastfeeding workshop on thursday and then a tour of the labour ward next sunday. I remember writing these dates in my diary at my 16 week appointment and thinking how far off they were... it goes sooooo quick!

It goes so quick don't it, can't believe its nearly august already! I'm getting so excited now! Aw bet the baby was soo cute, did you get all excited to meet little poppy? I know I do when I see newborns! :)

Less than a month to go!! :) xx
