*August Mummys - Our Tri3 Thread*

Just got back after having my appointment at 8.40am...

Scan went well, he is still growing and now weighs roughly 3lb 13oz (so still ickle :) ) i have quite alot of waters the normal range is between 5-20cm (if that makes any sense) and im right at the high end of normal with 19.7cm.. so explains why my bump is big.. as i have a ickle baby and lots of water.. (not looking forward to them breaking lol)

I think my placenta is is still working fine, they checked it 5 times and 3 out of 5 came back normal and 2 were quite bad..lol but he said sometime the readings can be affected if they are moving alot! so will be back up to the hospital on monday to see the consultant to go over the scan with me. but think all is fine :) had to go on the CTG to check his heartbeat and he is defiently a little monkey, was only ment to be on it 20mins and was on it for over a hour as he kept moving and it kept losing his heartbeat, and when they did manage to monitor him, his heartbeat was too quick (as he was just contantly moving)
so had to wait for it to calm down.. seriously numb bum after tho!

so chill time now till i have to get brooke then i have to take her to a party!..
only 39days to go... :) xx

He is a little monkey isn't he? And so teeny - hope he hangs on for as long as poss for you hun :hugs:

x

Yer so do i, but i am getting impatient now! :) so ickle bless him! and yes takes after his dad, likes to cause trouble..lol either way its not long till i meet him, xx

Aww glad to hear all is well chick and baby stays cooking a bit longer :) x x

Thanks girls... :) made me laugh, typical male, he had his hand between his legs!

Thats good news all going to plan!!

I've decided against using the RLT as my mum had breast cancer and my aunt died of ovarian cancer. I've read somewhere not recommended if there is a family history there. Better safe than sorry!

Hello fellow mummy's..

Well its saturday night and all of a sudden I really fancy a Big glass (or a couple) of wine!!

I have never been a big drinker due to falling pregnant 2months after my 18 birthday and have never drank loads as I've always got to look after my princess the next day!! I have not been bothered about giving up alcohol at all..but just really fancy some right now!

Anyone else really fancied a drink during their pregnancy?

Xx

Definitely! Been really missing pear cider with ice on sunny days. I had been buying the non-alcoholic kopparberg before I found out i had gestational diabetes, but now I can't even have that! Boo hoo! :(

:( o well hun, not long to go! And if you have to have LO early then its even sooner for you! Xx

Well we will just have to pretend.. I'll be drinking apple juice from a wine glass just for tonight..lol (it might make me feel better)

Xx

I've not wanted alcohol at all and tbh i did love my wine before we got pregnant :) I've got some gorgeous non-alcohol rose wine in the fridge ready for my baby shower tomorrow, its absolutely gorgeous, was only £1 a bottle from ASDA.

I do like those non-alcoholic Kopperburg too (the mixed fruit one) but it gives me horrid heartburn.

Enjoy your apple juice Kel xxx

I suppose I could pop some diet lemonade into a wine glass and sip at that, hehe. Luckily OH has never been a big drinker so I don't have to put up with him coming home drunk! xx

Oo baby shower, enjoy :)

I've not fancied it at all, just tonight I really felt like I wanted one!! Or two :)

Will be soo worth it once I've got Little man here! Would much rather have a sick stain on my shoulder than alcohol!! Well you know what I mean :) xx

Just thought i would post a pic of our 1st August Baby (even though she was born in july)

Here is Baby Jazz - Layla Michele Felicity

aww, what tiny little legs! cure as pie!

re alcohol cravings, i went right off booze when i fell pregnant, just the thought of it gave me heartburn, but the last couple of days, i have really really fancied a gin and tonic on the rocks with a lime slice... yum! Probably not the best idea at the moment though!

oh, and I have a terrible cold, can't breath out of my nose at all, and feel quite light headed because i can't breath properly. I hope this cold goes soon, I don't fancy having to give birth while i'm feeling sick!

Oh I hope you feel better soon almeria, having a cold as well as a baby pushing on your diaphragm, i'm not surprised you feel lightheaded! xx

Morning ladies,
I've got MW this morning for 35w appt - I honestly do not know where the time is going, full term in 2 weeks, really?!
You might think I'm nuts but I don't mind going overdue - I like sleep lol! So even if baby came in 7 weeks I really don't mind as it's time to myself & time with hubby that is really precious :)
Feeling pretty shattered this morning so I might go & get the coffee on! How are you all doing? Xx

morning all,

i cant believe how quick the time has gone either! by the end of this week i will be full term  and it's just started to get to me, today i walked into town with my OH on his way to work, went to a few shops and walked home, was out for about 2 hours and now i feel like i could sleep all day! might have to take a nap as we're going to our friends leaving do this evening, though not staying out to long as OH has work again in the morning!

hope your all having a good day x

well just got back from hospital...again..lol

The plan of action is to go in for monitoring on friday and monday and then i have another growth scan booked for next friday (22nd) if he hasnt had a growth spurt or they arnt happy with his measurments, i WILL be getting induced...eek!!! The consultant isnt happy with the progress little man made in the 2 weeks from my 1st growth scan to the one i had on thursday. so if i have little change again by my next growth scan.. its baby time! really pleased that i will be practically 37 weeks then (well on the monday after the scan).. so just 11 days to go!!

Hope everyone else is ok?

Jen how is work going? (it is this week isnt it?) xx

Cant believe how quick everything is going! OH has 2 weeks off starting on the 25th as does Brookes summer holidays start, so could be a very busy 1st week for them both if i have to be induced...
