*-*-*-*August Mummies!*-*-*-*

If they've moved once they can move again! Like you say there is time, I'm sure it will be fine. The head being engaged doesn't mean you'll be early anyway, look at me!

That happened to me on my pregnancy. Baby kept popping in and out and back to back. Just one of those things I'm afraid. Try not to worry, it's so unpredictable at this late stage you just need to chill and go with the flow. You are nearly there :-)

Heres Hoping congratulations on being fully cooked today!

About the nursing bra's. I've bought 4 of them last week at Debenhams. Overnight my boobs suddenly changed a lot so I thought it would be good to buy new ones. The service at Debenhams was very good and the bra's look okay. During my antenatal class we were told to buy around week 36/37 and she said it's good to buy 1 size up.

I understand you being annoyed Giz! I wouldn't want anyone else in my bed right now.

When's your birthday Kelly, is it today?

Fingers crossed Buggy! Wish I could give you any advice on how to speed things up but I'm afraid there is nothing that really helps.

Hope all will be fine Nomad! It's a good thing baby's had is engaged!

Paddles yay to 38 weeks! Not long to go now!

SpinSugar there's still time for your baby to get into the right position but I understand that you're not very happy about it. Fingers crossed!

I'm currently very busy cleaning the house. A friend just texted me asking if she could come over to mine tonight. I'm really looking forward to it but the house is such a mess at the moment so not looking forward to the cleaning. Are you all able to keep it tidy without having much energy? xx

Come on girls...i want some positive thoughts from you. Being engaged pretty much means nothing. Back to back is fixable, no slouching on that sofa (says she who is slouching right now). Sit up straight, or lean forward, sit on balls, rock on all fours, clean the kitchen floor! :-)

Giz, I like your positivity. I'm trying, I just need to come to terms with it :-)

oh and I think I left out the best part....

MW recommends we move out if we still have flea infestation when baby is born! She strongly advises we live elsewhere for at least the first week.

Xx

Oh dear! That's highly un ideal to have newborn somewhere other than home :( x

How did you manage to get a flea infestation?

Didn't you have the place sprayed recently?

We had it before, we took our cats to a cattery while we went on holiday. hey just had cheap flea collars at the time. TWhen we got them back they had a lot of fleas but we didn't notice for a couple of days and by then it was too late, they were everywhere! We bought powder and sprays and sorted the cats out and after a few weeks we got rid of them, it was horrible though! We always use proper frontline spot on once a month now and are careful about what cattery we use if we need to.

We had the place sprayed 2 weeks ago, so hopefully it should start getting better now. My friend who did it said it might seem like its getting worse before it gets better as it kills the live fleas on contact but the eggs still need to hatch which can take a few weeks. Both cats have also been treated but they are living outside at mo, rather then coming in where the fleas should jump on them and then die!

So fingers crossed it will start to get better! :-)

Xx

Yeah it will, we only bought DIY stuff from the supermarket and sorted the cats and that worked ;)

My cat got fleas too. Drives me insane. Totally unrealistic for your midwife to say you should move out for a week tho!
She made you feel great today then spin sugar!!

Urgh cleaned today yet so much left to do, have to repaint one of the ceilings again so feeling no further forward. Could literally sleep all day long. Got my hv coming to visit on wed morn for introductory visit, she sounded nice & chatty on the phone. Has anyone else met theirs yet? All getting v real now, we havent long to go at all ladies!! xx

Yep met mine few weeks ago. Just introductions, filling out red book and explaining about the tests they want to do (hearing test etc.) Then they go through stuff like breast feeding, how your baby should sleep at night etc.
And probably having a sneaky peek at your home too!! ;-)

I'm really ready now to have this baby!
All of last week I was really hopeful id be early but this week I've told myself not to get excited and that I can start to get impatient next week when I'm overdue!
It's a strange feeling waiting for it to happen though - and I'm pretty sure that feeling will turn into feeling really fed up if he's late!
I've got a few bits on this week though to take my mind off it, it's my birthday tomorrow (at the start of my pregnancy I was convinced he'd be here before that!) then Wednesday midwife, Thursday I'm having a pregnancy massage and on Friday I'm having my second session of reflexology in a bid to bring on labour!
At least it's cooler now so we can all sleep better.

I haven't heard anything from my health visitor yet xxx

And the car saga continues. Guess what? It's the wrong part. I'm sure I said it was for a 1.6l car and the guy sent a 1.4l part :-( and now I'm doubting myself cos of baby brain. So now got to organise sending the part back and getting the right one. So now looking at Wednesday/Thursday to find out if this is even the problem. Argh. At this rate I'll go into labour before getting my car back.

Health visitors... We don't meet ours till after. Mine was ok last time, but she did promise to find out stuff then never did. We only saw her the minimum, twice I think it was. One to check birth weight had been regained and then the hearing test.

I never bothered getting my daughter weighed after that, so never saw hv's again.

She can have a good nosey if she likes, the place is a tip from decorating with furniture piled up every were haha! Ive the small living room cleaned up so will bring her in there, not gona stress about the rest of house. Strange how its differant in every area, i dont mind her coming out early, suppose itl make it less awkward she comes now before meeting me sleep deprived still in my jammies, not a good sight lol

I feel ready for baby but i dont want an early arrival until my house is back in proper order. Want everything to be perfect, but think thats the control freak in me lol. So im not feeling the frustration just yet

Keeping busy helps with the waiting i think, yous girls who are bored should be getting urselves booked in for massages & treatments, the last chance any of us will get for a while!

Ive hosp tomorrow morning for hopefully my last ante natal appt before c sec. How i wont miss waiting an hour or more for an appt in that stuffy little waiting room :) xx
