*-*-*-*August Mummies!*-*-*-*

I hope so Lydia, so hot an uncomfortable all the time now. Everything seems to hurt/ache! I've enjoyed being pregnant but I am ready for it to be over now!

I ended up going back to bed for a few hours late morning. I was tired enough to sleep and still yawning now! lol

Lovely news on the arrival of your Nephew! :D It is a shame that you won't be able to meet him until December but im sure you will be both so preoccupied with the babies that time will fly by xx

Thank you! :) I just got a few pictures. He looks so cute! Would love to get my car out and drive up there but that's not a very good idea with 35 weeks.

Good that you were able to get some sleep! Everyone tells me how important it is to sleep well now as that won't happen once baby is here. xx

Well girls had my appointment. Babys still breech, weights improved & is now at 6.3lbs. So back next week for another scan & have to decide then if i want manually turned. They will do it at 37weeks. If i decide against turning or if baby remains breech afterwards il be booked in for a c sec at 39 weeks. Awww hope baby turns them self...all sounds abit scarey!!

Congrats on being an auntie again Lydia!! x

Oh no! Have you any thoughts about manually turning?
Ive seen and heard about it being so painful and not sure i would opt for it if i had a choice.

Hope you can try everything to get baby turned naturally and that it works out :) xx

There is still time, you never know. Even if you end up having a c-section it isn't the end of the world x

Is it still possible your baby will turn itself or is there not enough space anymore? Hope it will all turn out well! xx

The heat at night is horrible giz! I dont really suffer much usually but I find my hair needs washing just about every day atm due to getting sweaty at night. I will never daily wash my hair as I would ruin it so much! Its a nightmare.
I cant say I like comments about being pregnant in summer. Ill say how happy I am that its so sunny whenever somebody says I must be struggling. Ill only say it when I want to! :-)

My hair was soaked last night with sweat. Definitely the worst night yet for me. I don't have time to wash, dry and straighten my hair in the morning, so had to hope the batiste was enough to disguise any sweaty smells!!!

But yeah, I had to wash my hair again today which I wouldn't have normally.

And I was sweating buckets at work :-( it's been by far the hottest day in the classrooms so far. I have the magicool spray, but it only provides me 5 mins relief. I'm absolutely paranoid that I'm going to smell.

Today I have had kids, shop assistants, strangers in the high street ask me how long I've got left, when I say a month they all look shocked! I don't think I'm that big. And I've been getting the comments of "you must be struggling in this heat" um, yes I am, but to be quite frank everyone at school is struggling.

I'm waffling a bit sorry.

What else was it I wanted to say? Oh yeah, I've been trying to find cool (as in for a hot hospital) pjs. I've tried size 18 primark vest/short pjs and the top is ridiculously big around the armpits, and the shorts show my bum cheeks which is not ideal for when you need to wear big fat maternity towels!!

So I've decided on vest tops which I have already from primark. But I still need shorts. Anyone seen any? I want just cotton elasticated waist ones. Primark did have some, but only up to size 12 :-( reckon I need 16 at least.)

Congratulations aunty Lydia!!

I could never still be at work in this heat. I do lots of manual work, lifting pretty heavy items and bins and walking non stop and on my feet all day. Id have probably had the baby by now if I was still there! And yez id also be paranoid about smelling sweaty too. Even though thay probably wouldnt happen!
Not sure about the shorts but I want some myself! I brought some in primark but a bigger pair of pjs (14-16 as i couldnt find 12-14)and the shorts are so big and as u say.. they show my bum off!
I have a night dress in for my hospital bag now. I just hope im not kept in for too long. Id like good shorts for now though. Have u tried peacocks? They usually have a good pj selection. Xx

No peacocks I don't think.

Maybe I should look online. Otherwise I risk having nothing to wear! I don't want to be in jogging bottoms. I had wanted button up shirt style pjs. I had that last time and it was good for getting skin to skin time at the hospital. There's just nothing that looks cool enough.

Best PJ's I have got and have loads of dark coloured bottoms (good for leaks) is George at asda they are so comfy. Have bought 4 pairs from there and a thin black dressing gown. They do seperates so got plain black bottoms and a 2 pack of vest tops. Also got my black big pants there 4 for £4.

They said im running out of time for baby to turn itself, as it will be piling on the weight from now on in. Although its pretty common for 2nd/3rd time mums to be breech till later prob is im first time mummy so theres not much stretch in there. I really doubt it will turn, its got far too comfy & movements have reduced alot. got it all checked out though, had scan & trace & babys fine so assuming its just getting lazier, so id be surprised if it can be bothered turning itself lol. Im tempted to give the ecv a go as it at least gives me a 50/50 chance. They say its not painful but uncomfortable but i read online that it is painful so feeling bit confused. I know a c sec isnt end of world but if i have a choice id prefer a norm delivery. its my first preg so dont want c secs automatically for any more i have, plus its the recovery im worried about, i wouldnt have much support once oh returns to work. Just wish it was straight forward & i could look forward to the excitement of waiting & labour symptom spotting with the rest of yous xx

I suppose pain is a personal thing so some people might think it hurts but that doesn't mean you will find it painful necessarily.

Can you discuss with your mw about a normal birth with the baby being breech? They may suggest a c-section but it is your labour and you get a say and it is possible!?
I understand what you are saying, I would prefer a normal birth too but when it comes down to it you've gotta do what you've gotta do and when baby is here I'm sure you won't give a stuff how it happened ;)

I suppose giving it a go is a good idea if ylu are determined to do everything to give birth naturally.
I hope you dont end up having a c sec because I know what you mean about it being your first and not wanting to have to have it again as I wouldnt either. And im also worried aboit ending up having one for any reason for the fact of recovery time! Xx

Asda clothes are very good. I wish I had one close and I second that will be a good place to look. Xx

No the consultant said a breech labour would be more dangerous & risky to baby so they dont recommend that at all, esp as it would be my first. If i go into labour myself before it theyd do an emergency c sec then. Ur right about pain being a personal thing, suppose everyone has differant thresholds. Just keep hearing diff accounts of what that ecv is like, reading stuff online has scared me abit. Im tempted to give it a go to increase my chances, i have a week to think about it. Going to stop reading stuff online, doesnt help the nerves x

Hows everyone else keeping? We're starting to put wooden floors down all through downstairs tonight, dreading it. Just have to embrace the mess & chaos for next couple of days!! lol x

Yes, best not to google things! 99 times out of 100 it will make you worry more!

Struggling with the heat today and feeling massive!
