*-*-*-*August Mummies!*-*-*-*

Yeah it is exciting. I'm just impatient and don't like all the mystery, can't wait for it to happen :)

Kelly congratulations on being fully cooked :D
Don't you all think it's about time for the next August baby to come out! I want to read birth stories :)

With my first antenatal class our teacher gave us the following advice about what to do to speed things up. Some things I heard before but others I've never read on this forum. Might be worth a try:

- Raspberry leave tea. She said that using leaves would be the best and capsules don't really do the job.
- Pineapples but they only work when you eat about 8 a day!
- Sex seems to be the best. When you're getting induced the same hormones will be used as the ones that are released when having sex.
- Walking a lot.
- Eating spicy food.
- Stretch & sweep
- Acupuncture, reflexology and food massage seem to be very good!
- Holding a new born baby. Your body makes hormones which speed it up.

Can't wait to start trying it all in 2 weeks time.

How are you all doing? I'm feeling quite sick today. Just went back to bed for a few hours sleep. Think the heat is really breaking me up now. Hope you're all feeling okay. The heat will at least stay 1 more week. Can't wait for it to be gone!!! xx

Thank you Lydia :-)
Thank you for that list. I may go wait outside the maternity ward and ask a stranger for their newborn to bring on my own lol :-p.
Ive had raspberry leaf and pineapple :-) but.. that is all. May have to start on the walks soon.

I felt horrible yesterday but not so bad today. The consistent heat is unpleasant and I wouldnt mind a rain shower ;-).
Hope you will feel better soon xx

I've tried most of those Lydia! Nothing has worked for me yet, still only a week past fully cooked so I suppose I shouldn't panic just yet!

I was feeling a bit perkier this morning, hubby bought me some fresh pastries for breakfast before he left for work (I was still in bed) and left a little note saying 'I love you' - so sweet, that made me happy!

Feeling a bit tired now though, didn't sleep well at all last night as it was so hot. I think it is a tiny bit cooler today though, there is more of a breeze which is lovely

Haha that's what I though, where do I find a newborn baby to cuddle? Oh well, Northampton isn't far away from me so might drive up there in 2 weeks ;)
Apart from the baby cuddling I will probably try most things. I need this baby out before 40 weeks but after 38 weeks.

Glad to hear you're feeling better today! Yes what can we do so it will start raining? I'll probably go sit ouside as soon as the rain starts. xx

Fingers crossed for you! 38 weeks is still quite early but I really hope your baby will come soon!

Aw that's so nice of your husband. Little things like that can really put a smile on your face for the rest of the day.

Haven't felt the breeze today yet. I'm just sitting inside with all the windows and curtains closed. Should maybe try to go outside as a breeze sounds quite nice. xx

Haha :-) the lady a few doors down is due soon, so maybe I can just go ask to hold her baby. Never spoken to her before though! I think I may do the same if it rains. :-) xx

Lovely job! :-) what a good boy :-)
I know you said your bump had dropped but did u know he must be engaged. Were the bump dropping and shooty pains the only signs? I wanna feel him being engaged but i really dont think he is. Do movements change?

Pretty much hun. Literally overnight I could breathe! I had a series of cramps (best way to describe would be like IBS cramps) and really bad pains shooting in to my cervix when I stood up, then the next morning bump had dropped.
My movements have changed a lot, he's gone from being a lazy bugger to non stop moving the last week!

Xx[/QUOTE]

glad im not the only one feeling it sorry about the pains though! lol mine was moving a hell of alot last night n then from this mornin into today hes gone quiet again. the cramps are still there though and a few pains down below :( just want things to kick in now to be honest. xx

Just lots of achey pains in my lower back! Argh come on baby, there is no more room at the inn! I've stretched as much as I can, if she gets any bigger she'll burst out through my stomach like the alien!

this couldnt describe it better!! GET OUT! lol xx
