.August Mummies.

I need to get the wonder weeks. I'd love to know what leaps Drake is doing. But he was born nearly 4 weeks early so don't know if I'd have to take that time off to get the timing right.

Babyem I hope her teething goes smoothly :)

Em91 I hope you get to relax a bit :) and I hope Olivia gets well soon.

Lolly have you tried the nelsons teething powders? I had to give some to my LO last night and it worked great!

Hello mummies.

Just catching up with everything...should be doing my housework really but hey ho!

Gave Cam some babyrice and as promised I tried some. It was ok, not the nicest thing I've ever put in my mouth, but also not the worst!

Cam's first tooth is coming through! He was munching on my finger yesterday and i felt it, had a look and there it is! I guess this is why he has been so miserable and difficult at feeding times recently.

I'm doing ok. Still struggling a bit with PND but only been on meds for 2 weeks and it could be up to 6 weeks before they start to work.

Hope everyone else is doing ok and had a lovely first Christmas with their little ones?

I havnt given him any teething powders. Just gel. I will need to get some. Can you get them in the supermarket xx

I'm wondering if Mia is teething. She's been really difficult with feeding too. I'm going to try going up a teat size to see if that helps. I also wondered if she was getting bored of her milk so tried some mushed rusk this morning and she puked the lot. Going to get some teething powder too as she's constantly chewing her hand and dribbling. Confusing little things!

Cam was crying as he was hungry, so i would give him a bottle which he would drink a few mouthfuls of then pull away and start crying. He would then refuse his bottle and cry some more, then take his bottle, drink a few mouthfuls and pull away and start crying etc etc. I think it must have been his teeth as since that one has erupted through the gum yesterday, he's fed fine.

That's very similar to what Mia's doing but not crying every time. Maybe it is her teeth then xx

Hating teething or this 22 1/2 week leap whatever it is - I'm so worried about my boy :( xxx

How's he doing now?? xx

Thankyou!! I think she's suffering bless her, but she's not showing it much- she will have a cry and a little scream and go to sleep again. She's wimpering just now in her sleep, breaks my heart  xx

I understand how you feel, its such a horrible thing to have to do, but remember you are doing it because that will give him a better life and that is being an amazing Mummy, putting yourself after W's needs. Just have to make every minute count now. xxxxxxxx

Thank you :) I really am making everyday count.
And I know I need to go back to give him the best start in life.
Will be good for me too...xxx

Hi girls

How r u all doing?

I can't believe in 2 weeks my lil early baby will be 6 months old exactly! I feel like if I blink it will be his first birthday.

I'm a bit sad because we bought a plaster of Paris kit to take prints of his hands and feet at Christmas but forgot and now OH wants to wait til his 1st birthday.

We're good I know what you mean though where has the time gone? We're in the 22-26 week leap so have one very clingy baby.
They'll be on the move before we know it.
Could you do a painted hand and foot print for 6mths? Or on card that way you can still frame it etc and save the other one till his birthday? X x

Using tapatalk can't see tickers

We did a painted hand and foot picture at a sure start baby group which they laminated, but it's not very good and is Christmassy so OH only wants it up at Christmas.

I have some glitter paper. Think it would be nice if I can get some paint and do some prints on it.

Hello :D Alex was supposed to be a July baby but he was naughty and kept us waiting. I can't believe he's already five months, it's gone so fast, and I too and now starting to feel a bit sad about going back to work. Feels much closer now that it's this year

Alex is huge now, he's moved up into 6-9 month clothes over Christmas, and no longer fits in his carrycot so we're having to use the seat part of his pram in the most reclined position. It's parent facing but he loves being able to see the world a bit more! He also moved out of his crib into his cot last night and although it's still in our room, it's not right next to the bed because it doesn't fit, so I can't see him when I'm in bed anymore... unless I sleep the wrong way round, with my head where my feet should be. Definitely didn't do this last night  :oooo:

He got a highchair for Christmas but I'm not going to start weaning until the start of February when he turns six months. I'm trying not to panic about it, and my Mum got me a book about it for Christmas so I've been reading that so that I feel a bit more organised about the whole thing.

What else?! Oh yes, over Christmas he learnt how to roll from his back to his front, so now he does it all the time (particularly when I'm trying to change really disgusting nappies) and although he isn't crawling yet he's perfectly capable of moving himself all over the place - every time I turn my back for a second he moves  Going to have to get a playpen sooner rather than later I think :wall2:

Aw! Alex sounds like a little monkey. I don't know why but my LO doesn't roll at all, haha! Sounds like a big boy, I though my lo was big.
The weaning thing is quite confusing. Iv been offering little tastes but he's not been intersted the past few nights so think I am going to leave him a couple of days.

My LO has been a right little rascal past couple of days. Just no pleasing him. Crying. Moaning. Winging. Doesn't want to be left alone. Doesn't want held, doesn't want in his pram. Refusing milk. Refusing food. Throwing his head back, wrestling me constantly. His sleeping pattern seems to be a bit different. Guess he's just having a fussy phase!

Good job he's cute :) xxx

Aawwhh I hope your LO has stopped being so fussy and got a bit happier by now :) Is it possible that he's teething? Alex's first tooth started to come through last weekend and it's definitely made him a little grizzlier than normal.

Alex is definitely a monkey, he just wiggles all over the place, nappy changes are going to be impossible soon  I don't know how big he is compared to other babies, he always seems quite big. He was just over 18lbs when he was weighed on Monday, but he doesn't seem particularly chunky. Think he's quite tall though, that's why we had to move him up to the next size clothes to stop his toes getting squished!

Hello August mummies!

How are we all doing?

Cameron turned six months yesterday! Where does the time go?

He's growing up so quickly its scary! He has two teeth, he loves his food (have yet to find anything he doesn't like!) and a few weeks ago, he moved into his own bedroom.

I'm doing ok. Meds have deffo kicked in and good days now outweigh the bad. I'm starting to organise my return to work too  Its going to be tough. I haven't told my boss about my PND yet but I know I need to really. The bad days I've had recently have been triggered by contact with work so I think going back will be a struggle initially. Will just have to see how I go.

So mummies, what new things have your clever babies learned to do recently? Cam has just in the last two days figured out how to roll from front to back! I thought he would never do it!!

 everyone

Aww glad to hear Cam is doing so well! And that your meds are doing their job!! Im dreading going back to 'normality' as I just cant imagine not being with her!! Shes all mine!

So, as alot of you are aware, Ive been having a pretty crap time of it. And as well as the lump, the pads I used when it began to leak have caused a big allergic reaction. My foof is sooo itchy, red, a little swollen, the skin is flaking and because its so dry the skin has cracked on various bits :( So feeling rather sorry for myself! Glad I wrote this as its just reminded me to take my antibiotics!!!

Lexi-Mai is (hopefully) going to see her Daddy this afternoon, so will see what happens.

I cant believe shes 23 +6 weeks!! Shes 6 months tomorrow, unbelievable!!

She has been doing lots of new things! Has been rolling from front to back, back to front and here there and everywhere for a few weeks now! Theres no stopping her!! Yesterday she sat up all by herself, which was a suprise!! Still no teeth yet (I think!)
We still havent started weaning yet, but am pretty sure shes about ready! She cries when she sees me eating and stops if you move the food towards her! But going to talk to her Daddy about it first and the HV too.

Changed her bedtimes round, she goes upto bed on her own now, which was a huge step for me!! She now goes down at about 8ish and sleeps til about 7ish. I do miss our lay ins though!!

Not had her weighed this week and cant remember her last weight lol!!

Think thats us lol!!

Heres Lexi-Mai! Playing with her new fave 'toy', paper!! Haha she loves it! :) Oh, and she NEVER shuts up!! Always wittering away!! Just like me lol

Oh Emily I know the feeling about returning to work. I am in contact with my area manager, have my discussion on the 15th of March. The thought of it breaks my heart to leave him. But I know it's for the best. Too provide for him. And I'll enjoy my days off with him. Try look at the positives of going back?!

W is 6.5 months and still no teeth!! He's going in his own room soon, we need to sort his room and dismantle his cot from our room and re-build it.
He rolls everywhere. Front to back, back to front all over the place. He's eating very well. 3 meals a day. I'm wanting to try him more with finger foods, he does well with what I give him though.
He's such a noisy boy, always babbling away!!xx
