.August Mummies.

Hi ladies! I can't believe Mia is nearly 1 either!! The time has just flown by. She's a proper little character now and is so happy all the time. She's still quite lazy and isn't crawling yet but manages to get from one side of the room to the other somehow!! She rolls a lot of the time but this past week she has taken to getting into a crawling position and also is trying to pull herself up. She still stands on tiptoes which the hv is stressing me out about! She says dada and yeah but that's it. Lots of sounds but no mummy yet :(!
I'm still working 33 hrs a week and have been since nov so I'm used to leaving her but still hate it. I've head real bad sleep problems all related to pnd I think. Never actually got diagnosed and feel a lot better in myself but I'm now on a really low dose anti d to help me sleep (apparently one of its side effects is sleepiness). I was reluctant to take it but the lack of sleep was killing me. It made me tearful, grumpy and just like my head was in a cloud all the time.
So hopefully I will be able to enjoy life a bit more and enjoy the little time I do get with Mia. Oh and she's taken to not wanting to go to bed at 7 so we are trialling 8 which suits me as I work until 9-7 two days a weeks and don't get to see her before bed.
Anyway enough waffle, hope you're all ok :) xx

Just thought I'd add a piccy of my beautiful girl :)
This as taken last week when we were in majorca. X

Aawwhh, she's beautiful and looks so happy :)

Oh she's a cutie and a half isn't she!!

Cam is crawling and cruising using the furniture and has stood unaided a few times too!! He says mama and goes wuh when the dogs bark.

We too have been having bedtime trouble but we are working through it slowly. He's better when my oh puts him to bed so I've passed bedtime duty over to my oh. Lol!

I'm settled back in at work now and will be discussing coming off my meds in the next couple of weeks. I feel back to my normal self, if not better than before and I'm proud of myself for getting through the PND as its really not been very nice at all.

I bought the first birthday prezzie for Cam today. I can't believe he's one next month. Where does the time go?

Hello August mummies, how is everybody doing? How were all the first birthdays for those that have had them already? A's was lovely, but I still can't believe he's a one year old now! He's walking pretty confidently now, although he still has wobbly moments, so everybody keeps calling him a toddler and I'm just like 'noooooooo he's my baby'

I'm back to work next week, so A has been to two nursery settling in sessions this week, for 1.5 hours each. The first one he seemed a little sad when we left, but not too bad, and I got him back covered in sand  The second one he got tired but wouldn't nap, and ended up falling over and grazing his elbow and forehead, poor baby :( Although I think it probably bothers me far more than it bothers him! Not sure how he'll go when he's there all day - presumably he'll give in and have a nap at some point or he'll be exhausted by the end of the day!

He was supposed to be going for his third one today, but decided to wake up at midnight and throw up everywhere - I mean proper, disgusting, adult type vomit - recognisable bits of his dinner etc. So after a change of bedding and clothing etc. I tried to give him boob but he wouldn't have it and just wanted to go back to sleep - so I ended up watching him for ages, terrified that he'd be sick again while he was asleep, but actually he slept through until just after 7am, and then had a full breast feed, and he's not been sick again yet.

Awww poor bubba, hope he's better soon.

Cam turned one yesterday  We had cake and a few prezzies at the dog training classes we run on a Wednesday but we are having a proper little party on Saturday. My mum and dad and bro and sil are coming round for the evening which will be lovely. Cam is a bit under the weather though so I hope he still enjoys it. He enjoyed the cake yesterday though- had a huge fistful in each hand at one point! Lol!

He had a push along walker, a crocodile xylaphone, a big boy beaker and some foam playmats from mummy and daddy.

He's started walking and can manage about six steps atm, clever boy :-) He has more teeth on the way but they are taking forever to erupt bloody things!

We are off to Majorca on the 1st September. Soooo excited but a bit nervous about flying with a 1 year old.

Hope all the other August mummies are ok? Happy Birthday August babies!! :-)
