***August 2018 Mummies***

Does everyone have a glucose tolerance test? I’m 29 weeks now and haven’t had one.

Glucose tests are for people who are at risk of gestational diabetes so if you're high risk for a number of issues. I had it with this one and my 7 year old son due to my weight and both times have been fine xx

Nivetha, they haven't measured me but that's probably due to my BMI. My MW said they don't really need to with me having growth scans every 4 weeks from 26 weeks xx

Yeah my glucose test was because of my weight but fingers crossed I’ll be fine. I’m going to try and relax more about not being measured yet as to be honest how accurate is a tape measure anyway?? (Which probably means I’ve completely jinxed it and next week I’ll get told I’m having an abnormally large baby!)

Hope everyone is doing ok xx

I was measured at 25 and 28 weeks - I’m not sure how accurate it all is though.

Ugh I woke up at 1am with nausea. Then had it on and off all day! I don't think I've had it since about 11-12 weeks. It's reminded how bad the first tri was constantly feeling sick. Since then it's been a breeze. I hope it's not morning sickness coming back. I've had a busy weekend so hopefully I'm just a bit tired!

Sorry you’ve been nauseous xsarahh! I also had the same thing this weekend, it completely threw me because my sickness stopped around week 14. Like you though I was also very busy and did a lot of travelling in the car, so thinking it might be that. It could be worth mentioning to your midwife though xx

I was really sick yesterday afternoon/early evening! I wasn’t travelling or going out in the sun but felt awful! Xx

Nausea has come back for me too. Every morning for the past week or so. Not actually been sick but feel like I could at any time. I had it bad until about 15 weeks and thought it had gone for the rest of the pregnancy.

Oh no! This sucks! Fingers crossed it will go! Xx

Also sounds really silly but if I have milk eg with my cereal I feel sick every time!! X

Yeah I was nauseous yesterday morning but not to the point I would be sick! Didn’t have this with my first! Last time I was actually sick was Sunday though! My blood pressure is really low too!! Xx

Hi everyone - I'm finally in my third trimester. I hope you're all doing well? X

Congrats cherrygirl! It all feels very real now doesn’t it! Xx

32 weeks yesterday not that I am counting haha!! Haven’t got to see the midwife for another 2 weeks! Hope everyone is getting on ok on this muggy whether! I keep a fan on all night just so I can sleep! Got about 7 weeks to work! More works going on today at the house the internal doors are being fitted in the hall with new skirting board! Next week woodburner! Trying to get as much done before baby arrives :) xx

Wow can’t believe you’re 32 weeks already Mexico! It’s great that you’re managing to get so much done around the house, it must be nice seeing it all come together. I’m definitely finding this heat hard work and exhausting!! I’m starting my NCT classes on Tuesday and my hypnobirthing on Wednesday so hopefully I’ll start to have some idea of what this giving birth/parenting business is all about! Xx

Hi all ! Hope your all keeping cool in this dreadful humidity! Anyone in London/Essex?

I emailed my hospital to see if I could book in for an antenatal class but they charge huge amounts and only offered very limited class. Might have to give them a miss as it’s another expense I just can’t afford :-/. I’ve read about so many good things to do with hypnobirthing, have bought a book on it to try and just use some of the techniques if I can to do with breathing and visualisation. Anyone else doing hypnobirthing? So excited now! I want the day to hurry up and arrive ! Haha xxx

Hey everyone! Hope you're all keeping well?

I had my 30 week growth scan on Friday, everything is going as it should be :)
At my clinic appointment the doctor decided that due to my high BMI (I'm seriously obese  ) I need to have daily injections of Tinzaparin on top of my daily dose of aspirin. Not keen on injecting myself but whatever is best for my little boy :)

Less than 10 weeks now till my due date  we've sent today tidying and cleaning our bedroom ready to put the crib up in a few weeks. I can't believe it's going so fast!

Hi all!

That’s rubbish Roniece that your hospital charge for the antenatal classes. I’ve not bothered with any classes I’m just going to wing everything. I’m probably naive but I’m hoping the midwifes will show me how to do eveything.

Had a productive half term. We’ve gone from having NOTHING! To being pretty much all sorted. Everything just needs assembling. Emptied the man cave and decorated it yesterday. My ribs are killing from that today!

Back to work tomorrow 7 weeks and 3 days until I finish if I last that long!
