Hey all hope everyone is doing well. Saw the midwife yesterday and don’t have to see her again until I’m 34 weeks!! Jeez I’ll only have 6ish weeks left! Crazy! Xx

Hey Mexico, I’m guessing that means she was happy with baby’s growth, which is great! Hopefully you’ll get your home birth this time! Xx

Hiya ladies! How’s everyone feeling ? 28 +1 weeks today, and had the luxury of sneezing and wetting myself today in ikea ! HAha that was a new experience I must say!

Had my baby shower yesterday too, got well and truly spoilt and it’s safe to say we won’t need to be buying any clothes ect for long while! We also got a high chair and a bouncer !- very handy !

My partner won’t stop putting things up/together! We still have 12 weeks! Haha I have all the baby furniture and bouncer ect all ready to go , so impatient ! SPD still extremely painful , struggling more and more each week. But it does feel like it’s all going so quickly now doesn’t it?

Are any of you going on holiday before due date? I’m going to Spain for 3 nights on Friday for a quick baby moon! But I’m terrified of flying. Usually I neck half a bottle of wine beforehand but obviously this time I can’t . Should be interesting xxxx

I’m meant to be going to Spain in a couple of weeks - I checked with the gp and she said it would be fine. However, I sent my uk passport off as evidence of Id to the Irish embassy and I’m crossing my fingers that they return it in time...

I’m 28 weeks tomorrow and I have a growth scan but I can’t find my notes! I’m really hoping that they’re in my desk at work- everything has got a bit mixed up at home because of the leak.

Basically I feel that I am walking talking evidence that pregnancy brain exists!

I had the whole cough/wet myself thing for the first time yesterday too! I was so shocked by it I just joyfully announced it to my husband without thinking about it!

It’s lovely that you guys are getting a little holiday before babies are here, hope you have a lovely time! I’m also scared of flying, not even alcohol gets me on a plane, so I feel your pain! Try lots of things to distract yourself while you’re up there if you can.

Red- I hope your scan goes ok and you find your notes! Baby brain is so genuine, I forget so much these days! Apparently it’s something to do with the brain shutting itself down to prepare you for the ‘trauma’ of birth! Xx

Found my notes thank goodness and scan fine. Nivetha- if your theory is correct, I am going to have a pain-free birth!

Red - I’m glad your scan went ok and you found your notes! Haha, I hope that is true for you about the birth!

I am completely stuck with names, there are a few that we like but I find it hard to commit to a definite favourite and keep second guessing my choices! I’m not sure I’ll ever feel ready to choose! Xx

We have chosen the name and my husband’s aunty is busily embroidering it onto everything- we probably couldn’t change it if we wanted to!

Luckily we're having a girl and had picked a girls name but we didn't have any boys names. We've kept the sex and name a secret from everyone.

Got my 28 week appointment tomorrow. I feel like the babies grown lots since 25 weeks!! X

Were going down to London MCM Comic Con next week as an end of SATs treat for our son and a baby moon, were huge geeks so conventions are our family holidays
We have a name sorted, well we have two names one is going to be his middle name but we can't decide which way to have the name a,b or b,a

I know I am too! It's funny because everyone at work read into things I say but they all think I'm having a boy! Everyone's got an opinion on what they think I'm carrying which is quite funny!

Midwife appointment went well she could fell the head was down and I'm now measuring 27cm was 23.5 last time. I did fell like I'd grown loads!

They're too young for SATs! He's on the top table in his class so I know he will do well but he is very competitive with another boy on his table and during their practice papers if the other boy got one more mark than my son he got very upset. We've told him it doesn't matter what he gets as long as he does his best and tries but I know he will be upset if it turns out the other boy does better than he has done.
We took him to the Walking Dead convention in March and he loved it so thought MCM would be a nice surprise for him after his last week of SATs with it being a bit more kid friendly, plus he loves London and is desperate to go up the Shard - not too sure I can do that though lol xx

Nearly 3rd Tri for me now and good to see everyone getting on ok. We are a select group for August aren't we. Good mix of boys, girls and surprises though. We have bought hardly anything and I am very aware of it. Thankfully not got a lot to buy but do need to get bottles, breast pump and buggy board if nothing else before baby is here. Need to clear out the loft first though to find out what we already have as loads up there.

I am not enjoying pregnancy particularly this time round and am anxious but trying to make light of what may happen. I am having 2 weekly midwife appointments, growth scans, consultant apts and just had my second GTT which I am 95% sure of the result of so will have diabetes apts too. Feel like I am forever at an appointment but at least I know I am being looked after.

It is my little boys third birthday next week though which I am super excited about. got his party this Sunday, going to the zoo on his birthday and then away for the bank holiday weekend. Also got a week off work which I am so looking forward to.

Babyscotcher - that sounds like a lot of appointments! Like you say, at least you know you are being looked after.

I had my midwife appointment today. All good. I’m measuring 27 Cm and I’m 28 weeks - she seemed happy with that.

Do you have any inckling what you are having? Aww I had a lot of scans and appointments with my first as she was considered to be small!! Like Red said at least your being monitored and you get to see baby more!! Xx

Sorry you’re feeling anxious bsbyscotcher, it sounds like you’ve got a lot going on but it’s good you’ve got some things to look forward to coming up.

I haven’t got my next midwife appointment until next week when I’ll be 29 weeks and I still haven’t been measured yet, think my midwifes gone rogue as I checked on nhs site and she should have measured me at 26 weeks! Oh well! I’ve got my glucose tolerance test this morning and I’m starving already!! Not looking forward to this!
