August 2017 babies!

Fortunately I sorted all my son's (and daughter's clothes) into vacuum bags when I was feeling more energetic and had less of a bump to work with lol so all the clothes are ready and waiting. I may wash all the new born ones again closer to the time just to freshen them up.

Having one of those mornings...my little girl did her morning wee in her pants despite me asking constantly for 15 mins if the wee was ready yet. But some dribbled out the pants into the potty so she thinks she got some in. Then we were having breakfast and my son kept crying, I thought he was just tired as he had a restless night, next thing he is being sick. Clean him all up and change his clothes and get her on the potty again about half an hour later and just as she is sitting comfortably he projectile vomits all over us so then she is retching too! Great day! X

Oh god rose! Sounds like you have your hands full today. Hopefully he doesn't pass the tummy bug to anyone!! Xx

~ Awww sending big hugs your way Rose!!!
I hope he feels better soon! And no more vomit! xx

~ Same here Elspeth!
I haven't bought anything for the baby yet. I know we'll need a new bouncer as the one that we had for my boy was a given from a friend which we then passed on to another friend's bubba - so after 3 babies having enjoyed it, I believe we need a brand new one for this baby lol he deserves one I think! And I know I'll need to get him some new newborn stuff like sleepsuits, couple of new, just for him, outfits. Might also rent a pump like I did with my older boy and buy a bottle warmer (again I've returned my previous bottle warmer to my friend as she had given/lent it to me for my first). And perhaps buy a nappy bin for our bedroom. That's all can think of at the moment. I am not organised at all this time round! Flying abroad to my dad's on the 22nd til the 8th of June, so I doubt I'll do anything useful til I return. Then we'll hopefully move to new house early July! Life is crazy!

Elspeth, I think MissCharli mentioned she'll kindly create a tri3 thread for us to start gradually migrating, but I wouldn't wanna move without you all girls! xx

~ I have an appointment with a psychotherapist on Monday, I know you girls would be glad to finally hear this. Some of you have effectively encouraged me to do so, you know who you are, and I thank you for it :petal: xx
Feels like things are getting worse and worse inside me, I feel like grief for my mum is now beginning to paralyse me and it's not fair for my boy and my hubby and baby in my tummy to carry on without reaching out for some help. It has taken me ages to admit I need it :(

Love to all of you xx

Thanks ladies - unfortunately it's just been vomit central here today and now he has an upset tummy too. Safe to say I have abandoned potty training for the afternoon - especially after we had a poo in the pants!

I'm getting a new bouncer too, ours was far too over used by my first two and the vibrating function stopped working. My brother asked if there was anything around the £50 mark he could get us and I noticed that in Argos this week they have reduced the ingenuity auto bouncer from £80 to £50, it auto bounces baby for 30 mins so he is getting us that.

That's great H4R that you are seeing someone, I'm sure you'll get something positive out of it - a nice safe place to vent all your thoughts and feelings should really help you xx

Hoping4rainbow. I'm glad you've made an appointment. It takes a lot of courage for you to do this. I will be thinking of you x

Hi guys, I'm on holiday in Cornwall atm so have been reading and running mostly :)

Glad you are getting some help H4R x

I will be making a tri 3 thread either Friday or Saturday when I get home :)

Has anyone else got reeeeeally dry skin? My legs and hands look like leather! It's horrible. Luckily my face has dried out too (mostly) but still!

H4R, sorry things are so tough but really glad you are starting therapy. I've no doubt it will help you.

Rose, what a day!! Sounds pretty horrendous. I hope the vomiting has stopped and you are holding up ok. Parenting is a glamorous job hey!!.

Xxxx

H4R you've most definitely done the right thing, I bet it'll be a huge sigh of relief even after the first meeting as talking about things help much more than you think, wishing you lots of luck and hope it goes well :) x

Hello everyone! I really need to remember and jump on here more often. Hope you all are doing good :) x

Same here xAngelx. I am always amazed how much there is since my last visit! How ru?

I know it jus flies by and you try to catch up but I think sometimes there just way too much haha. Hope your keeping well x

Thanks everyone - poor little guy is asleep in bed now but not before he spectacularly vomited his dinner (a piece of toast and some water) and his bed time bottle over me :( the doctor called round at the house when he finished his appointments as we are in a smallish village and just round the corner from the surgery. He said just to carry on trying to give him water or Diorlyte and half water half milk but obviously the milk mix was a mistake! Hopefully it will just be a 24 hour thing if we are lucky x

Thank you so much girls xx I know on Monday as the app'nt approaches I'll be so nervous

Have a lovely time MissCharli xx
Yep I also have dry skin! But I know I am bad with my liquid intake as drinking any kind of liquid makes me queasy! So I struggle to drink enough. Arghhh what is mother nature doing to me?!?

Oh Rose :( poor little guy and mummy! All fingers crossed it is a 24 hour thing! xx

Night night lovely mummies xx

H4R, well done. I've also started psychotherapy and have my first proper session this week. It's hard taking that step so be proud of yourself!

Rose, hope your little one is feeling better today

I hope yoi start to feel better h4r x

Would you ladies get hubby a card from the bump for his bday, or shall I just do it on fathers day cos they're pretty close x

Thank you PB xx
I would, I did with our son on both his Bday and Father's day and these first ever cards ended up being sweet lil mementos in our little one's memories box! I also got a lil customised baby vest made at the time and wrapped it for hubby to open on Father's day I think, he loved it xx

Thank you Kumber xx So sorry to hear you might be struggling too sweetheart, but so pleased to know you're getting help, you should be proud too  Helps knowing I'm not alone either and I hope it helps us both. If you ever want to talk/vent/share notes/experience from this, please do not hesitate to pm me xx

Thanks H4R, I'll take you up on that and PM you now. It would be nice to have a buddy to go through it too, to share it with. It seems like it can be quite lonely sometimes

Hope you are alright H4R and Kumber pleased that you have been offered help. Hope you are having a lovely holiday relaxing misscharli.

This week seems to have flown over. Does anyone else do a lot of online shopping? I got wrong tonight from OH because he is sick of parcels turning up and the amount of boxes we have recycling is ridiculous so I have to stop shopping for abbot and only order in one big go not lots of little orders ☹️

Rachel, that's not fair.
We have Amazon prime so we do a lot of online shopping.
It's nice having parcels turning up and a good source of useful boxes!

My maternity "occasion wear" turned up from Tiffany Rose today in a beautiful box. Really pleased with the dress and hopefully I can get lots of wear out of it to justify the expense.

Third trimester tomorrow :) and I've started counting down the days I have left at work. Yay.

Rose, how is your little boy?

Xx

Haha oh no Rach that's not good. I get all mine delivered to work, I do wonder if the receptionist ever gets bored of taking in all our deliveries but she is lovely.

27 weeks and tri 3 today! Woo! He has been really active today, I've never felt him so much before. OH even got to feel him for the first time :)

Woohoo my GTT came back normal :) I was so worried about it just incase it came back positive and I couldn't go to the birth centre. Happy trimester 3 MissCharli, I'll be joining you in less than 2 hours haha!
