August 2017 babies!

Elspeth, yeh I did have pre eclampsia last time, I have just been informed I should have been taking aspirin from earlier in this pregnancy but was never told but started last week so hopefully will help, although my blood pressure has actually already started to rise and av got proteins in my urine so I feel I am kinda of just preparing myself for it happing again, but I see the consultant again next Friday so just have to wait and see what they say. Just trying to keep on with life as normal as possible and not thinking too much about it all :) and thankfully now baby is moving a lot it's reassuring:) xxx

Rose. O I haven't seen my midwife since my 16 week appointment and that was a waste in it's self as she just added a note in my book.

I was allocated a doctor and weighed at about 14 weeks and they actually made me cry and told me I wasn't supposed to be eating for two and that they recommended that I joined slimming world. They didn't know that I was going and still am just to maintain weight. So I have a feeling when I go back on the 1st June I will get wrong as I have put 10lb on so far and I'm 24 weeks. They were very strict and told me to swim twice a week and 3 30 minute walks also so as to not gain anything as it will make labour worse and they can't help as much etc. TBH I switched off after she had a go when I had put 4 pound on from when I had gotten pregnant to then.

Misscharli you could always do that to plan and if you feel you want to be off sooner you cold and if you feel you are feeling alright you could just ask for the holidays on the end if they would allow it.

That's amazing that Tashap it's hard to believe he was so tiny in tri 1 compared to now!

I have just had to admit defeat and order some maternity clothes as I can no longer fit in my fitted dresses for work, they have no more stretch in them lol. I have got some stuff rom Asda as it seems reasonable especially with the summer stuff.

My work were fab last time. I ended up with prenatal depression and signed off and they were so supportive and lovely. I'd handed my notice in at the end of my maternity as I was already pregnant and moving, my boss again was so lovely!! My maternity start date was to be the day I actually gave birth!!

Oh dont even get me on the wedding rant. Im chief bridesmaid early June and the dress shop assured me My dress will be fine as its a maternity one and measured just on my boobs... They keep asking my best mate if I'm bigger! Well duh?! They still dont have my dress in either so i am so stressing now! Luckily i think My bump is actually smaller than last time so I think I should be OK... I hope

Last night, well 2 this morning, I was woken with the air knocked right out of me and could barely breathe! Seems like baby thought kicking up the way would be fun! Was pretty horrible I felt really weird.

Rach that is awful! I don't care how much someone weighs they shouldn't make you feel like that! And it's ridiculous not to expect some weight gain - I don't even believe it is healthy to attempt to not gain any.

Misscharli it's totally up to you about time off but you might find work hard towards the end. With my first I was due to stop work (as a secondary teacher) at 37 weeks. But then a colleague who was a few months ahead of me stopped at 37 weeks and gave birth the next day so I was thinking 'God I don't want that to happen, I need time to prepare!' And by the time I got to 35 weeks I knew I was too tired and ill feeling so I decided to stop at 36 weeks.

With my second I again tried for 37 weeks because there was a half term holiday in week 35 so I knew I could make it another week after that if I'd had a week off. However what actually happened was that at 29 weeks I got a sinus infection that my body just couldn't fight off and I was signed off work for 6 weeks in the end! I went week after week to the GP and just wasn't getting better so they said I shouldn't go back to work. So in the end I went back for the final week and officially finished up at 37 weeks but really had had 6 weeks off before that too.

I'm not working now but if I was I would probably go for 36/37 weeks again to give you time to prepare yourself mentally for the change that's about to happen and to rest before baby gets here - trust me you'll wish you'd rested if you don't! X

Oh Jill that sounds horrible!

Well I only work in an office so I'm sat down all day, I think I'll probably be fine but it's just hard to tell at this point, especially as this is my first time!

Glad I don't work at times like this! Don't know how you do it at 30+ weeks!
Anyone else having trouble shaving down stairs yet? I tried and couldn't see a thing! :shakehead:

Beautiful Bump Misscharli definitely starting to show now :) I get my OH to take a picture of me every Sunday evening because it shows better the growth compared to me trying to struggle and take a selfie. x

Here is the ridiculous progress of baby 3 lol. I look like I should be giving birth in 7 weeks not 17!!

We purchased our car seats today :D We bought 2 joie IAnchor Advance i-Size as they are £200 at mothercare for the seat and you get the isofix base free which is normally £125 until the 3rd May. A plus is that it is ISize so in the future we can use them if we have another baby. We bought 2 one for each car as practicallity we cant just have one as I will be at work early morning till the afternoon and then OH will be at work afternoon to evening as that is the sift he works so we thought rather than taking it out each time to get 2 as the other car seat we had been looking at was £400!! So we are planning for when he is older for OH to take him to nursery in the afternoon around lunch and then I will pick him up later on once I have finished work. I have taken everything out and im amazed at how little there looks to be from when i count it all up :O and thats when buying things when on offer or reduced etc!

Haha I look about the same now as you did at 13 :P I guess cos you've done it twice before your tummy is like yep I know what to do here :P

It's ridiculous! Another person asked my partner if I was showing this week because they are the same amount of weeks as me - he had to get out a photo to make them realise he wasn't exaggerating lol! X

My bump seems huge just now. 26+1

Lovely bumps ladies :)
Mines still the same apart from I can see which side she's lay now I havea budge usually on the right heh.

Hubby convinced me to start decorating the nursery! I think the pink we bought is too dark but it's on now and I'm not doing it again. We just need to buy a wardrobe and draws, and some decorative stuff and it'll be done :p
It doesn't feel real still! Anyone else?x

Looking good Jill :) I can't see where he's laying, but I'm pretty sure he likes being on my left hand side cos it always feels a bit harder :p

I've been doing some more DIY today too, painted 2 bedside tables white! Still have to finish the nursery though... You should totally send a pic PB :)

Nope it doesn't feel real, I can't believe I'm 25 weeks either. My OH keeps telling me how many weekends we have left together until he's born (he only gets every other weekend off) and I'm like noo I'm not ready haha.
