August 2017 babies!

I got loads with second baby in afraid but he was huge. I'm pretty sure I'll get more this time seeing as I'm already so big.

We had a nice day at the zoo today and I was busy painting my little girl's room on Sunday but still so much painting to do as that was just the undercoat on the fresh plaster x

It's lovely to see the nurseries coming together now!! Eee it's starting to get more real lol! I can only sleep on my left side but I feel like I am up every other hour because I can't get comfy now.
OH's dad is up to help decorate today and he has had to re do the filing so that is 4 coats it has had after being plastered! I'm just waiting for the health visitor. I hope she is nice.
I've noticed I'm starting to get them on top of where I had them from getting fat as a teenager!
Have you seen the clothes separates miss charli? They are little wooden dividers for the wardrobe that split them by ages e.g. Newborn, 0-3 all the way up to 2 years 🙂
Hope you had nice weather at the zoo Rose

Where can you get them from rach?

Just been to primark, they have some lovely stretchy dresses in there, I bought one for £4!! So cheap. Not a very big section for new born girls tho, boys one seemed loads better. Xx

Really? All of the new born clothes in primark here are for girls! There's like 1 little stand with boys and that's it!

Will have a look though for dresses, I've got a few decent tops in there recently that are long enough for bump.

So envious of all these nurseries! I can't wait for us to move so we can start decorating, we haven't bothered with this place as everything else has gotten in the way!

It's crazy how some of you are moving into tri 3, I'm so excited for you all. Does anyone else feel like they've hardly been pregnant? I realised I've been pregnant and have known that I've been pregnant for 4 months and it doesn't feel like it at all! 21 weeks seems so much shorter than 4 months, weirdly

I've known for nearly 5 months! It feels like it's been a long time since that day all the way back at the beginning of December! It's flying by but 40 weeks is such a long time. I have like 10 days left in tri2 :o

Wow tri 3!! I still have another month heh. Very fast since December, half the year is nearly gone... but I don't mind I'm wishing it away, want August to hurry up lol. I'm still kinda amazed how fast we conceived her, after a loss in late November... usually took 3 months to catch again. Ahh right timing I guess :) x
24 weeks is 6 months isn't it?

Oh just saw your ticker, you have less then 100 days :o waiting for mine to finally says 99 xD

I know PB! I remember when it had more than like 235 days on it! I have no idea how the months work, I just go with weeks :p

My changing bag and the curtains for the nursery arrived today. So happy with the bag:

It was only about £35 on amazon.

The curtains are lovely but I'm just hoping they fit, they might be like an inch too short :(

Wonderful looking nurseries already girls, well done! Nesting!!! I can't do anything until we move in early July fingers crossed. Waiting for contracts to be signed after a delay from the vendors, hopefully in the next couple of weeks we'll sign. Only then we can be sure!
Plus I don't think I'd be any good at decorating right now, I feel so nauseous and queasy all day and now I've also got awful headache all day for the last couple of days :( My MIL made a comment yesterday about the possibility of my persisting nausea being perhaps related to my grief (my mum), I think about her and what happened constantly and still cry every day so who knows :(

Jeepers just noticed my ticker! I am NOT moving over tri3 without you yet! Waiting for more of you so we can migrate together!

Lots of love to all of you and your precious bumps xx

Thanks me too :) If not we think we can try and extend them (I'm alright with my sewing machine). The ones that were longer were double the price, which is so annoying.

I hope you feel better soon :hugs: I can't imagine how it must feel to lose your mum x

I love the bag misscharli and I can't believe that you are in tri 3 already H4R! It's flown over!

Today my father in law came over and helped decorated. He done most of it and once the health visitors left I helped. It looks fab with the new colour on just need the wallpaper and gloss next 🙂

It's so wonderful to see all these nurseries taking shape.
Looking good PB, Rachel and Charlie ( I hope I haven't missed anyone). Rose, I hope your DIY is coming along nicely. Big pat on the back for all your hard work.

Can completely relate to the lazy OH. Glad it's not just me although it was more my experience when expecting my daughter. My hubby didn't quite have the same enthusiasm as me.
This time round due to the move we can't really do anything. But I feel ok about that.

H4R, sorry to hear you are still feeling queasy and unwell. It makes you think will it ever end. I know I've felt so much more emotional in pregnancy so it's easy to imagine that you would feel things much more. Have you had any extra support or talking therapy type thing? Are you worried about how you will feel when baby arrives? If you need to talk or vent or virtual hugs we are all here for you. Sending love to you and bump Xxxxx

This morning I've got my gtt test and the drink was horrible! I was like an even worse lucozade. I just need to sit and wait 2 hours for them to take more blood now. Hope everyone is well today 🙂

My GTT is on the 17th and I'm dreading it. This will be my third one, first one it was an actual bottle of lucozade you drank which was fine but the second was the proper NHS drink and it was so gross. But what I'm really dreading is the fasting and am I right in remembering you can't drink water either? I wake all night thirsty and drink about a pint through the night of water and wake up light headed and ill feeling before I eat and I know that's what I've always struggled with about the test :( hope your results are fine Rach.

H4R sounds like you could definitely do with talking to a counsellor just so you can sit and remember your mum and talk about how you feel - I promise it really helps. Feeling sick all the time is horrible x

I need my gtt done by the 30th, but the ladies at reception couldn't find my letter to book it, i found it in my notes the other day (God knows why it was in there) but I have midwife on 18th and just gonna make her book me in lol. I'm not looking forward to it ... I've ate shit all the way through and she's measuring bigger :( think they gonna say I've got it.... my hubby's aunt was telling me she lost 3 stone while pregnant cos she had it and basically can't eat anything!!! I love bread and pasta (which you can't have) lol.

I like the bag charli, don't wanna spend that much tho, i change bags so often so want cheap ones xD.

Oh and have my whooping cough vaccine next Friday :( don't wanna, is the needle big? X

I'm convinced I'm gonna end up with it too :( I'm like 90% certain that my letter said to keep well hydrated, they won't be able to take blood if you're not anyway. But just water. Mine is at 0850 and that's about the time I usually have breakfast on a work day, so I'm not too worried about making it a few hours later. OH is coming with me to keep me company so maybe I'll make him wait too >:)

Whooping cough jab was fine :) the dead arm for 3 days after was much worse than the jab itself.

Haha I thought the bag was cheap compared to some that people buy! Some are like £100-200!

The GTT seems to be different in each area, I couldn't eat or drink anything - not even water, after 10pm the night before whereas I have read on here that some were allowed water and even black sugarless tea/coffee.

If you do have it it's just due to your placenta so don't feel like you have brought it on yourselves with a bad diet.

You can still have carbs and sugar but just as part of a controlled diet.

Good luck!
