August 2017 babies!

Hope all is well tomorrow tash, keep us posted :) x

H4R he's sending me the see a specialist but I've seen them before, I doubt it'll work. Tbh, ive always been abit grossed out by things being in there, even my own fingers, I had to do my progesterone myself at about 12 weeks cos hubby was away first time ever had to put anything inside myself and I was nearly sick, and crying my eyes out.. when hubby's doing it I'm fine just painful.
I had to have an examination when I was 16 with a smear test, and it hurt like nothing I've felt before and they didn't believe me when I was screaming at them it hurt and kept saying it doesn't it's just uncomfortable... thats what made it worse and made me unable to have sex for years and years, and never ever ever have a smear. Sorry I'm just going on about it! Never spoke about it to anyone who actually understands what it is! X

Thanks ladies,

PB - it sounds like you've such hard such a tough time. What an strong lady you are to deal with it. X

Pb hope you are alright and the hospital give you the best care and advice 🙂 Goood luck with your scan tashap fingers crossed it goes alright and he is all well 🙂 I have got to see a consultant re my bmi at 28 weeks to see if I have put any weight on. It's supposed to be when over 35 bmi but mine isn't that or Close even the midwife just worked it out wrong but I'm not complaining as it means I get scans at 28, 32 and 36 weeks 😊

Does anyone know where you get the matb1 forms from just work says I need to hand it into them at 15 weeks before I'm due so next week but I don't have my midwife appointment until 26 weeks.

You can get it from your gp as well but I think you'll need to book an appt, give them a ring :)

I will do thanks misscharli 😁 I can't believe how quick it feels like tri 2 has flown and that I have to start and plan for maternity leave already.

Hey ladies, quick update as dashing to work - all good in the re scan, everything looks normal. He weighs 1.3lbs - amazing.

Happy Thursday to your beauty's xxx

Awww Tasha,
Wonderful news sweetheart, over the moon for you :cloud9:
I knew iiiiitttt, he is just a wonderfully nourished thriving bubba, perfectly cooking in mummy's tummy xx

Your midwife should have given you your matb1 form at your appointment but they only give them out past 20 weeks so have you not been seen since before 20 weeks?

I wonder if this is only in England that you get extra scans for high BMI? I'm not getting any unless my bump measures too big later on, i have a BMI of 35 but don't look it, I seem to have just evenly spread baby weight all over my body from previous pregnancies. Also sounds mad that they are checking to see IF you've put any weight on? You're growing a baby what are they expecting? I started out at just under 14 stone and im now 15 and a half! X

Rose, I thought they was meant to weight you every midwife appointment. Mine hasn't tho just been going from my first weight in. My bmi is 31.2 but I lost 7lbs in the first tri. Weighed myself about a month ago, had gained the 7lbs back. I just thought they supposed to weight you a lot more. X

I know Rach, I only have 2 weeks left in tri 2!! I still don't know when to choose my Mat leave date.

Glad all was good Tash :)

I haven't been weighed again, and you can always decline it if you want to. Like you said we are not gonna get through this without putting on at least a stone I reckon? Just from baby, amniotic fluid and increased blood! Let alone boobs :p I haven't weighed myself since about 10 weeks cos I don't want to stress over it. I lost 2st just before falling, so trying not to think about the fact I'll probably put most of it back on.

Morning ladies, hope bumps are all doing well.

I haven't been weighed either, not since booking in appt. I think that was the same with the others too, I don't remember being weighed regularly anyway. My BMI is 30.3 so .3 over what they wanted, they've booked me a GTT at 28 weeks which I'm going to cancel. I'm carrying weight from two previous babies plus I was weighed at 7 weeks, so my BMI would normally be much lower. They're very good at taking precautions over the things that don't matter, and not very good at taking precautions over what does matter!

I haven't been seen since 16 weeks, and won't be seen now until 24+6 which is the end of May!

I only got weighed at booking and that's it. I always decline weighing. What good will it do to know how much weight you gained? One of my friends was obsessed with it! She is already talking about her target to lose it by?!?! It baffles me!

I must admit I have a slight obsession with weight, but I have alot of longstanding problems with it, suppose everybody deals with things differently and for me it's a big struggle :( I am totally unsure about extra scans and things, my previous pregnancies have not been normal so I always had loads of scans but this baby seems fine so far, it's my health alone this time that is the issue, I am consultant led but have never really been told much, I have very little faith in the doctors and midwives here, so all just a worry game, sooner baby is here safe and sound is all I keep thinking.
Hope your all doing well xxx

I'm 26 weeks today! One more week of tri2. I said to hubby last night we could have a baby in 11 weeks! Freaks me out!!!

I've never been weighed other than at booking - never heard of anyone being regularly weighed either. I have the GTT in a few weeks but that's because my dad is diabetic so I have to.

I think putting on a stone for whole pregnancy is very conservative! I put on 4 stone with my daughter! With my son it was a lot better, I put on 2 stone 8lbs, I gave birth on the Saturday to a 10lb baby and weighed myself on the Monday and had lost 17lbs so that was baby, water and placenta. Then you have excess fluid, extra blood which is more gradual. Three weeks after birth I'd lost 2 stone 5lbs and was amazed! The only thing I'd done was breast feed and sit on the sofa. So seems all that weight was mostly just stuff for baby. Unfortunately I still had the two stone excess from my daughter and didn't lose it before this one! X

Yeah I was trying to go for the absolute minimum, they say that bigger women should only put on 11-20lb! I'm just trying not to worry about it really.

That's so much weight from baby. Wow 17lbs. I weighed myself after seeing on here I've only gained 8lbs so far and that as after I had eaten and not been to loo all day. I'm quite pleased with that lol.

I have a party tomorrow night, I feel so ugly :( dry skin and acne to add to my fatness... people on fb writing they're having spray tans and their nails done, I have to wear a dress from before pregnancy so I'm gonna look a right mess. Any tips ladies? X

I know what you mean peanut, I have some weddings to go to and am just really struggling with the way I look, my skin is awful, to the point it's actually sore, and I just feel a wobbly mess haha, the joys of pregnancy, but I am just kinda looking forward to baby being here and safe and I just keep thinking how worth it it all is, even though I think that with me everything to do with my pregnancies have been the hardest things I have had to do in life, and I am coming to the realisation that this may be my last. I would love another baby but just not sure I could cope with the health problems and heartache too. Holy I realise am being quite a ramble and downer today, sorry ladies. Sometimes it's nice to be able to have a moan I guess haha.
Hope your all keeping well xxx

Bless you Kiwi. Moan away.
It's good that baby is growing well. Did you say you had pre-eclampsia last time. Must be a huge stress and worry. Everything crossed it doesn't come back.

Peanut, I'd heard of Vaginismus. What a struggle you've been through over the years. It's good your consultant is aware and they can plan as needed.

Tasha, glad all was good today. Must have been lovely to see your baby again.

I've put on over a stone (8kg). And it's now the weight gain really picks up pace.
Last time I only put on 11kg the entire pregnancy!! Not sure how I managed that.

Also cannot believe we are so close to trimester 3!!

I'm going on mat leave on 7th July just before 36 weeks . I'd like to go earlier but also want to have as much time with baby so seemed like a reasonable compromise. Taking 13 months off work. Whoop whoop. Cannot wait.

Anyone else finalised dates?

Xxx

I literally don't know what to put down for my mat leave :( My work are really flexible, so if I want to change it I can. The girl who has just left pretty much gave 2hrs notice on her last day haha. But I just don't know what is best, should I have time off before? I have 2 weeks holiday left so I guess I can take that and go at 38 weeks? idk!
