August 2017 babies!

Ahh just felt him kick from the outside for the first time, only a couple of times and then I guess he moved but still :D Shame OH was asleep, he's been trying to feel it for weeks ha x

Loved that moment!! I have my placenta at the front so thought it would be ages, but dh felt kicks for the first time on Monday eve <3 <3 his face was amazing!! xx

My OH felt a few kicks over the last two days but I think the novelty has worn off for him by the third baby *rolls eyes* now he is like 'it's uncomfortable to hold my hand in that position for ages waiting' Men!

My little boy has not stopped grabbing at my boobs recently and I've just realised it might be because of my sore nipples - presumably that's milk related and maybe he can smell that there is some milk there x

My hubby don't like it, says it's an alien lmao. Every time I put his hand there she stops kicking. He's only felt it once.

My husband is desperate to feel something but won't sit there with his hand waiting. I'm feeling movement everyday day but no patterns really yet. He feels very low still. I'm waiting to see the consultant at the moment. I am not sure what for lol.

Hubby is Happy to talk to bump but hates seeing my belly move. It's OK if its wee kicks but when he sees the whole belly move it freaks him out. Last night baby had hick ups and i swear he looked like he was going to he sick haha!

Ah I think my OH can't wait , I don't think it'll freak him out he's not very squeamish. I told him this morning and he was like oh that's awesome I wanna feel ha. There's not been a pattern though yet.

I did get woken up less than hour after I posted that with the worst cramp I've ever had. I get it fairly regularly now and it's always the same leg, but this lasted for minutes and I had to stop half way to the loo otherwise I'd have fallen down the stairs! Ouch ha.

First time round he couldn't wait and feeling her move was fine but seeing it was a different story. He is the same this time. Doesn't bother me at all because baby is so active I am so over the vag kickings.

Hi,
Just got back from the consultant. Gotta have a scan at 28 weeks and then again at 34. Gotta have some more blood tests for my iron levels and he said I need to go and get my eyes checked out because the symptoms I was telling him sounds like pre eclampsia :(
I mentioned my vaginismus and he said I need to see a specialist to try and over come it before baby (had it for 10 years sooo doubt it'll work) if not it's best option to have a section. I don't even mind as long as baby comes safe. X

Pleased to hear you informed your consultant about your vaginismus PeanutButter. They need to know sweetheart. I wouldn't think it would prevent natural birth (I suspect natural hormones that cause dilation etc. would probably make it happen regardless), but it might interfere with any checking they might need to be doing down there?? How have you managed with any early preg transvaginal scans?

So sorry to hear about possible pre-eclampsia but again it's good that it got spotted if that is the case. What have your symptoms been like?? Take care sweet xx

How has your consultant app'nt been Tasha? Hope all is OK chick xx

Sending love to all of you August mamas and your beautiful bumps xx

Hey been trying to catch up with everyone this thread moves so quickly, I too had the consultant last week due to previous complications and pre eclampsia, my blood pressure has already started to rise this time so got another appointment in a weeks time. Also been on antibiotics this last two weeks due to infections. Is it bad to say I can't wait until August and that feeling very much like this will be our last baby. Feeling big regular movement now which is lovely, always reassuring :) that's me 24 weeks today so another week past is always good.

Hope all you ladies are doing okay as can be :) xxx

It was hard to do the TV scans, I'm glad the lady doing them didn't rush me, it had to go in abit at a time the stop so I could relax, then carry on, stop usually took 5 mins to put it in but once it was past a certain point it was fine (same when we have sex or have to insert pessaries). If i cant relax I just tell them to try and it some of the most pain I've ever experienced and I just cry telling em to hurry up xD
I didn't know you could get pre eclampsia this early tbh... I mentioned my eyes going blurry and seeing things float around sometimes. He was like yeah this is quite serious, rather worried but my pee was clear and my blood pressure is on the low side still. I've been having these awful headaches at the back like ice pick ones to which he asked about. So he needs me to go get my eyes checked out just to rule out that. X

Hopefully it's just a weird pregnancy thing rather than it being anything sinister PB.

I'm supposed to be consultant lead for BMI only, but so far I've only seen midwives... I think that's maybe because the healthy eating midwife said she was happy with me as I am? No idea. I should have asked really at my appt, but I'm happy not to see any consultants tbh. I feel well and everything they've checked has been okay.

Yeah I have that all booked for 34 weeks and my GTT in 3 weeks. But I haven't actually seen a consultant.

It must have been so hard for you to learn to cope with this for so many years PeanutButter, have you ever seen a specialist about it at any point? Will they refer you?? Hugs xx I hope, just like MissCharli said, that the other symptoms are just a weird preg thing rather than pre-eclampsia, but as long as they're on top of it and keep an eye on you, that's what matters xx

Misscharli- bath with Epsom salts. It's lovely and relaxing and helps with cramp.

Pb- it's good they are making plans for you and keeping close eye on you x those headaches sound awful x

Seen the consultant, it was the one who did our ivf so I was rather emotional I'm back for a scan tomorrow because of the high abdominal measurement at the 20 week scan, he said it's very unlikely to be anything to worry about the scanned in 6 weeks and then two more before he arrives. X

Aww Tasha bless you, no wonder you were emotional at the app'nt

Great news about the multiple scans, getting to see little bubba lots of times! ;)

Good luck with tomorrow's scan, all fingers crossed it's most probably a typical case of baby growing different body parts quicker than others until they eventually all even out xx Looking forward to your update xx

Ah a bath is a fab idea, will definitely have one tonight. The muscle still feels tight!

I hope your scan is all good tomorrow, H4R is right it's generally just babies growing different bits at different speeds. Mine had a head circumference at the 95th percentile, but a weight at the 56th.
