August 2017 babies! The final thread!

It's not letting me post on my own thread??

edit: it clearly let me post this, but said my last post had to be moderated before it would be posted! Wtf. I've typed the same thing twice now cos it won't show up :s

Mine is measuring just above the 95th centile too, I asked the midwife if it'd mean I can't go to the birth centre but she said they'd review it at 36 weeks as it could just be my tummy, fingers crossed I'm still allowed to go!

Another big baby/ tummy here.

Although I'm way off, floating 2cms above the top centile line!!
I get measured again next week. I hope baby has slowed down a bit.
Midwife didn't seem concerned about baby being big though.
I just wish I'd had a GTT though as I worry maybe I have diabetes that's been missed.
Xx

As far as I'm aware Elspeth a +/- of 2 cm in fundal height is considered to be normal, its only a worry if it's above that. It's also really not that accurate, lots of places don't even do it! I think they also look at the trend to see if its steady growth. But if you are worried next time maybe mention it again? x

I had a minor panic last night that it'd mean I'd have to be induced early or have a section, neither of which I'd really want :( fingers crossed they all behave in the next few weeks so we can have the births we'd planned! x

Ladies do you have any idea what this could be... pain in my left rib only, goes away for a few seconds then comes back? It started off just uncomfortable now it hurts. Feels as tho someone is sat on it... which makes me think baby but I feel her moving low. She has been giving me some really big movements today where I see my whole belly move.
Nothing else just the pain. I've tried taking indigestion stuff but hasn't worked.
Just worrying cos its a pre eclampsia symptom... BP was fine yday tho x

Hey sweetheart, does it get worse when you move, walk, bend down etc?
Could be your ribs just stretching to accommodate the growing uterus? I've read that pressure there can even affect a chest nerve making you feel really sore.
Does it feel hard to breathe?
Have you got a line to call, like your maternity centre to talk to a midwife and mention it, just in case you need to be checked? Just to ensure it's nothing else like your lung or as you mentioned pre-eclampsia related. Take care and please keep us posted xx

Love to you and all August mamas xx

I do have pain under my ribs all of the time, and it is just him pushing up against them. Try and see if you can feel her up there, it'll feel like a hard lump.

If you're worried call the triage though x

My ribs on the right side hurt all the time. It can be their feet pressing up there but also its natural to get pain when your ribs are being forced out to accommodate baby. But best to call and ask if you are worried x

It's gone now lasted a few hours. Baby was lay on my left side so I just think it was her in my ribs for the first time!
Had some bad news hubby results came back and he has something wrong with his Liver :( gotta wait till Tuesday to speak to the Dr. So now I'm just stressing over that. Ugh.

Glad you're feeling better PB, and I hope your hubby is okay! x

Finishing off the nursery today, excited to finally get it done :D My mum is coming over to paint a mountain mural on one wall and put another coat on the rest. It already looks soo good with the curtains and rug so it's gonna look amazing after :D

Send us photos when it's done!

I finished the painting for my little girl's room last night so now just got to get the carpet fitted which we've been tripping over all week in our hall. My parents are visiting next weekend so want it done before they are here. Today I am
In an online meeting all day for GCSE marking so my OH has the kids all day. I expect him to come home fairly frazzled lol. Most of my spare evening time etc will now be taken up with marking for the next 3 weeks but at least I earn money! X

Ooo definitely share some pics!
Getting excited that everyone's nealry done thier nursery heh.

Awh rose what a day to be marking! Hope you have a fan lol x

Hahaha it's not that hot in Scotland PB so perfectly comfortable to be working in. We finished early too so it was really a pretty easy day! I even hoovered in the break while I had no children around to chase the Hoover! X

It's a little bit patchy still, but mostly done! Will be able to put the furniture back in later and it should look good :)

That looks brilliant! We've actually decided to do something similar when I decorate my little boys room - it's going to be adventure themed/outdoors so we're going to make one of those IKEA bunk beds into a little cabin and have mountains on the walls, a compass on the ceiling and stuff.

My mum called me tonight to tell me one of our cats had died :( we got him when I was 18/19 and I was always his favourite in the family so I've been really sad. Hadn't even seen him since last summer and was due to visit next month, sad I won't get a last fluffy cuddle x

MissCharli, it looks wonderful!!! xx

Ohh no Rose :( so so sorry to hear about the cat :( Sending big hugs to you xx

Thanks I'm really happy with it considering. The paint was a bit of a nightmare cos it didn't seem to want to stick to the walls for some reason!

Sorry to hear about your cat Rose. They truly are members of the family :( xx

Thanks ladies - I don't think my pregnancy hormones probably made me feel worse but pets really do break your heart when they die. It's funny because I think most people don't think cats are friendly enough to be missed that much but he and his brother were more like dogs in the way they loyally loved my mum and me. His brother is still alive and still wakes my mum up every morning by jumping on her for cuddles and licking her lol.

Genuinely can't see my feet anymore when I look down! Feeling massive and pretty uncomfortable and it's not even really hot here - those of you down south must be suffering x

Rose83 I'm so sorry pets are such wonderful big parts of our lives and families I am sending you a hug x

If you can't see your feet it means your nails don't need painting lol

Misscharli that looks amazing can't wait to see it with the furniture in.

I'm on the south coast and it's 30 currently - rather hot and bothered but feeling proud as I was up and at the swimming pool at 8.30 this morning, that way I can justify laying in the house in the dark. I'm back to the day unit again tomorrow as they want to retest something on my bloods ALT levels I think she said, staying away from Dr Google though as I'm thinking if it was urgent they would have had me in over the weekend.

How is everyone doing? X
