That must've been great to be put forward!! How exciting. 4th December isn't too long to wait at all. I was thinking it was ages away but can't believe we'll be in December next week!

I've got my notes to fill in too. Will be doing that tomorrow.

Awh that's a shame OH can't go with you. I must admit that I have no idea how important the blood test is at the first booking appointment and when they see you next. Does the midwife see us again before the 12 week scan? She'll hopefully allow you to come back at a time when OH can go with you. I'm not sure what else the midwife does at the first appointment. I've heard it's 30-45 minutes long? xx

Yeah was soo happy to be put forward!! Yeah I know it feels ages away but it's only 8 days away eeek! Year has gone so fast!
I had a booking appt with last preg(had mc at 14 weeks ) and we just filled in notes, she weighed me, did urine sample for protein or whatever and then bloods were for stuff like blood type, full blood count, stuff like that.
I'm hoping because I've already had the test to rule out a lot of stuff she'd let me wait for full blood count etc?I'm also a bit of a hypachondriac so I had a full blood test done a few months ago to check vit levels etc as was feeling dizzy and everything was fine sooo just hoping she will let me wait
My appt then was 45 mins long but I don't see how long it can be if we've already filled in notes as that was the time consuming thing lol? xxx

I'd be fine with having it on my own it's just getting the bus back I couldn't do, I usually wait at the hosp when I get blood tests for him to pick me up after work lol but this is in the opposite direction in a town (don't even know where the surgery is haha) and I'd be waiting 9 hours to be picked up lmao! xx

Millie I have my first mdwife appointment next Thursday too! I can't wait! We've booked an early scan for next Sunday as well so that can't come soon enough!

It would be nice to be moved forward like you Millie but I'm fairly certain of my dates! How come you were moved did you OV earlier than you thought?
Have you had a date for your 12 weeke scan yet or will you get it after your midwife appointment? xx

I hoped id be moved forward but when we had scan on friday she said my datez were so accurate and we were exactly 7wks have my midwife appt on tuesday eeekkkk -6days away fingers crossed for 12wk scan before xmas - otherwise we had our engagement party on saturday and have decided to use money we got as presents to pay for a early scan as we want to put the pics in parents xmas cards xxxx

Yeah well the cycle before bfp I had a weird midcycle bleed which I thought was AF but thinking maybe it wasnt?

Well i havent eaten all day cause of feeling sick and now just pigged out on pasta and FIVE slices of white!! bread feel awful and gross about it.

Got my appointment sorted for next Wed when I'll be 9+1.
Midwife is coming to the house which is handy, I was told they like to make at least one of your appointments a home visit so they can check where you are.
Told my mum and she was like 'tell her to book you in for a scan before xmas so you can tell people on xmas day'. Yeeeah, not sure I get to pick and choose my scan dates mother.x

Evening ladies. I've still not got any symptoms at the mo, now 5+5. Anyone else symptomless at this stage and then hit by them later? I've got my first midwife appointment tomorrow afternoon. Really excited, but it seems super early compared to the rest of you?! The receptionist at the GP phoned me to arrange and I was given the options of a few time slots at 15 minute intervals, so assuming it won't be a long one!

Hi Bridger, I for one didn't call the docs until last week and I think some of the others were also 6/7weeks when phoning!

I didn't have much to say at 5 weeks, still don't! Don't worry all will be good! X

Bridger, if it's only 15 mins I'd guess it isn't the full booking in appointment, that usually takes about an hour. Perhaps they'll book you in for that after tomorrow.

My only real symptom has been nausea and that didn't really arrive till around 6 weeks.x

Yep was about 6/7 weeks the nausea kicked in for me. Think I'm over the worst of it there was 2 days where I had to just lay flat, when I stood up was unbearable!!
I went to the doctors when I found out, they didn't do much just sent me to an early birds appointment which was quite pointless xx
