your right i think its perfectly normal - just frustrating to start so well! and theres so much thinking involved in the process of TTC!!!!

just looked and I think i will probably test on 10th, if AF hasn't arrived (as I'm now unsure of when she might!)

Go by your ewcm. Easy for an opk to miss the surge. Good luck x

Thank you, keeping sane sounds like a good plan. I haven't got a date to test in mind yet, although i am going to try to not test early but i find it very hard not to - its like impulsive when i do and i can't control it lol!

Also last month I lost my mind a little too as I was 4 days late and entered a whole new realm of torture - pregnancy tests were negative but maybe not enough hormone (didn't realise that was a thing - you just hear so many stories of early BFPs that i hadn't even considered being late & getting BFNs!!!!) Negative tests should have been the give away really that i wasn't pregnant but I've been off the pill 3 months with 2 perfect 28 day cycles to jump to 32days (even before i was on the pill i was like clockwork) so last month has set me back in confidence!

I'm so glad i am/was doing the OPKs as my app then re jigged my cycle for this month to ovulate on CD16 - but I got strong positive OPK on 'CD12'!!!! which was actually exactly 4 weeks to the day i got a positive OPK in last cycle - so i really don't know what happened last cycle!

sometimes i wish i wasn't so aware lol but then don't want to miss the opportunity! i am also enjoying sticking my sticks in a little notebook now

I always used to test early. I'm hoping that now that I have a baby (9 weeks tomorrow) I won't be so desperate to know, lol. Who am I kidding though, only dtd once since Kieran was born and my boobs have ached a lot today so only went and bought tests in Asda. Cheap 25miu ones though so I can't poas early with them, lol.

Your cycles could easily still be settling down, I know it's annoying, but do try to relax your mind about it. Xxx

My opks are negative (I’ve had positives in the past).
I wouldn’t usually be so bothered but hubby agreed to try until the end of the year and then if no baby that would be happy to settle with the two wonderful girls we have. Thing is he is now working away for the last 2 months of the year

Then he owes you two months...tell him you need Jan and Feb to make up for him being away. Might sound daft but it's obviously very important to you. X

I don’t want huge age gaps and feel I’ll be getting too old so I thought do it this year. Hubby is totally onside.

Ah fair enough, read it the other way. I know what you mean, I am turning 40 in November and just had our first. Am giving it 1 year to have no.2 or we'll give up as well as that will be as old as I'm personally comfortable with.

Work is a pain in the ass...I see so many people on here have their fertile period twarted by last minute work trips.

Mandy, firstly welcome to the thread
Very strange you mention the pill, I came off the pill about 3 months ago and I had 2 28 day cycles, then last cycle I was 6 days late for AF. All of my pregnancy tests were but I was concvinced I was pregnant. Just turned out my body wanted to play a game.

As there’s lots of opk discussion last few days I’ll share mine. Nearly positive is Sunday afternoon, positive is Monday afternoon and almost gone again is yesterday.

I am 99% sure that temps over next few days will confirm I ovulated yesterday. For me, ovulation happens sometime the day after the positive opk.

We DTD Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday (yesterday) so I think we’ve done all we can.

1dpo today.........let the symptom spotting commence!

Hello... im hoping to join this thread (complete newbie to threads & forums!) but have been TTC for a few months now... finding it quite stressful! I am currently about 2DPO so in the two week wait!

Listen to your body hun. DTD every other day while you have ewcm least then you'll be covered. Do you temp? this will confirm ovulation but only after it's occurred. if your using the cheap 1 step opks they sometimes don't pick up the surge. I'm considering buying one of those clearblue digi opk tests.

There's no picture hun. But if it is positive you have anywhere from 12 - 36 hours before the egg is released. All depends on if you've caught the beginning or the tail end of your surge. xx
