***** September 2016 Mummies Tri 2 *****

Thanx girls I am just loving the scan pictures!!

Bobby beautiful scan picture I am useless at guessing lol x

Yes...sorry to hear about your grandma :hugs:

You girls are so lucky hearing the wee heartbeats. I seen my midwife at week 9 and won't see her again until week 25 so I have not heard the babies heartbeat and probably won't until next appointment....do they listen at the big scan anyone know?

I think it depends on the machine - some let you listen at private ones Ive had that before, depends if the machine has a sound doppler.

Usually MW does it at 16 weeks, or the next appt that you have which is 24.

I just realized once your onto your second you get less appts is that why you dont have a 16w one? Even then Im on my second and I have a 16w one. Thatll be my second, I was first seen at 9w too for my booking.

xxxx

RM...awww thanx had a private scan at 9 weeks they didn't have a doppler on the machine then, so just hoping at the big scan I can hear it otherwise it will be at 25 weeks appointment. This is the 1st and was told that the scans here are counted as appointments as BP and urine is taken so I have to wait until 25 weeks to see midwife again x

Oh right, I guess it does differ from place to place.

I got my booking bloods, urine and BP at my booking at 9w - then I got my NT bloods and scan at my dating scan but no BP or urine so imagine thats why Ill go back now, then I get seen just after my 20w appt I think, probably 24.

Yeah she says at my 9w one it didnt have it on the machine. I think the later ones tend to though, like the 3d and newer ones.

xxxx

Hope you get to hear it soon sansk. It's so cool!!

Think i have just felt tapping where my baby is!! I moved and it stopped so now not sure. It was so light?!? Xx

any of you Scottish girls seen a any deals online for 3d scans?

Im in Glasgow. I got 2 scans with baby scanning for 37 each. One was the early and Ill get my gender next week.

Theyr always doing deals, should check them out for the 3d ones.

xxxx

Exciting about the tapping Catherine! Sounds like early movement to me :-)

I didn't have an appt at 16 weeks either and next one isn't until 25 weeks. Xx

Tapping does sound good. Mine sort of feels like tiny pokes at the min, from the inside

But last pregnancy I had tapping for a week or so then it was kicks.

Exciting.

xxxx

The foetal Doppler is OK to use but used too often can cause a heating effect on baby (according to my boss) ... But once a week should be ok x

I heard the heartbeat at 16w appointment and this is my second. I don't have another appointment until 28 weeks so maybe you get a 16w one or a 25w instead? 19 days until scan day, I'm dying to know the gender so much! Everyone keeps saying girl, the midwife said the heart rate sounded like a girl but I think that's just everyone's wishful thinking! (There's too many boys in this family!) xxx

I heard the heartbeat at my 16 week appointment and that was at my second midwife appointment. My next one is in another 6 weeks time I think.

I'm hoping to hear about my 20 week scan sometime this week - it's so exciting.

I'm 18 weeks and 2 days and I've definitely been feeling more movement over the last couple of days. I think we even got the first little kicks last night - even the husband got a feel and could feel the taps as I felt it.

So I'm announcing my pregnancy at work on 28th April when I'll be 19 weeks. Haha. Starting to feel more real!!!

How are you Yess? Must have mixed emotions right now? I adored my gran amd was devastated when she passed away. Saw her at least once a week. Hope you are ok xx

It's great to announce and get it out there! I've just started telling work peeps yesterday, there's another two of my staff pregnant as well and they're shocked I've managed to keep it quiet for so long as I'm the furthest along!!
Been feeling lots of flutters today, nothing major but definitely feeling something xx

There are also too many boys in our family, going off the old wives tale I should be having girls with the heart rate etc but I'm not lol x

Hi girls I hope you are all well xx

My niece used her doppler today, but no such luck she tried for close to 30 minutes with no success she was nearly sure that the placenta is anterior which was blocking the heartbeat she said she could vaguely hear a few beats, bummer hope it rectifies itself as it can block me feeling movements etc, I thought the twinges a few weeks ago were the baby but now am sure it was only stretching so yet to feel any movements....she gave me the doppler to take home to try myself at some stage.

I have an anterior placenta and can find the hb ok. At your stage I was finding it about an inch below my belly button and now it's exactly at my belly button. Don't stress but keep trying xx I'm feeling some movements now as well xx

Eesh I'm exhausted! Been shopping for the party food for millie's 2nd birthday today, plus parent and toddlers, plus took her swimming. She's had some pretty spectacular tantrums too and now battling with her because she doesn't want to go to bed and I literally feel so tired I could cry!!! Was up in the night with her last night so as soon as she's down I'm going to make myself some pasta, watch a bit of Jane the Virgin then head to bed.

How are others with toddlers finding the pregnancy? Some days it's not so bad and then other days all I want is a full nights sleep or lie in or a bit of me time and can't seem to get any of those!!

Think sometime in the next month we are going to pack her off to her nana and bampi's house for a night so we can have some chill time together. My parents have quite an active social life though and both still work full time so it's tricky finding days they can do when simon is also off work! Xxx

Aww I feel for you, it takes me all my time to work never mind having a toddler to look after xx
Hopefully you can get something arranged with her grandparents to get a rest xx
