Just at the last one I had grown 3cm in 5 weeks. Belle stopped growing at about 35 weeks and was only 6lb3 born at 40 weeks. Was told to expect another small one but hoping this baby isn't slowing down growth too soon.

Probably just "normal" for you to have small babies then but I understand the worry. How big were you at birth? I was 7lb 7oz but OH was nearly 9lb and Ruby ended up being 8lb8oz so seemed about right x

Do you think babies weight is determined by parents weight at birth?
I was born 5lb and my brother 5 lb 5 so my mum had small babies and my OH was something like 8 lb 8 and his 3 siblings all above 8 lb.
My son was 7 lb 5. I was expecting at least 8 lb! X

I forgot that my labour started at 6pm - I thought it started at 1am hahaha! So my 23 hour labour was actually a 29 hour labour! No wonder I was falling asleep towards the end!!!

Think it tends to be in middle of both parents weights generally from what I have heard. Also to do with frame size though, I am not the most petite girl in world, I'm 5'10 and OH similar height. If one of you was very short it may be lower I guess x

Oh kelly I want to read the rest of your birth story!!!

I was nearly 8lb at birth and craig was a big-ish size (his mum can't remember!) so they don't know why belle was small. Had checks on placenta and cord etc at end of pregnancy and nothing was wrong with them. They can't see me for any accurate assessment before the next app as it won't give enough time to monitor growth as it has to be done over a certain period of time. Just need to sit tight for now xx

Yeh, I'm 5'3 so I guess an 8 lb baby wouldn't be a bit big?

Maybe she was just generally a petite baby? Fingers crossed mw will still be happy with your growth xx

Your bumps look lovely!! MaryP yours has definitely grown since the last pic I saw. Kelly how funny that your bump shrunk?! Baby must have completely changed position.

I feel like my bump is massive!!! Can't imagine getting much bigger but Midwives keep recording it as bang on or just 1 week ahead ... But to be fair i've never been measured by the same midwife twice so not sure how accurate they can be as it's not exactly an accurate method anyway ...

H excited for you for tomorrow what time is your scan? Is this a 4D one or a growing scan?

You all have lovely bumps! Think in going to take another soon . Summer I am obsessed with your bump it's perfect!

Awwww I hope it's right about baby's going on yours and OH's weight at birth, OH was 5lb 4 and I was 5lb 10. Both healthy just small, I'm also very petite and so is OH. I'm 5"3 and OH 5"7. At my 30 weeks scan she was 3lb or thereabouts so I doubt she's going to be as small as us haha I'm expecting at 8lb baby x x x

Have you weighed yourselves? I've now put on 1 stone! Can feel some of that is on my hips/bum/thighs as work trousers are a bit tighter when I sit down! Doh

Summer - you bump looks lovely hun, you still look in fab shape you lucky thing, wish mine looked like that!

Kelly - hell no! No way am I weighing myself I think I have put on about 2 stone, to confirm it would make me cry haha. I am in denial and once baby comes I am straight back to super healthy eating (and exercise once past 6 week check)

Tessa - If this baby is similar size to your daughter I would just assume that you carry beautiful little bundles and that it is normal for you. I hope they can give you some reassurance at next appointment though and ease your worries a little

Bunny - my placenta was really low lying at 20 week scan so they decided to do another at 32 weeks to see if it has moved up and away from cervix, if it hasn't I will be scheduled for a c section probably at end of August. I have had reassurance from a couple of ladies that c sections are not as bad as the press they get so I am quite happy either way I think. Appointment at 9am, I am just really excited to find out if little man will have a definite birth date or if I get the excitement of symptom spotting until he comes naturally - I do love symptom spotting haha!

Good luck with the scan hun.

Had about 4hrs sleep Harry was so bad bless him. He ended up in my bed n hubby on sofa which has never happened before. He seems fine this morn but at about 11/12 last night I was considering going hospital with him he was so bad. Cudnt stop looking at him all night. Now I don't know whether to go docs today or not now he seems so normal again. God kids really do worry us don't they!!!

I have no bump at all compared to ur pics!! Haven't weighted yet.

I've put on a stone too so far! It's all on my hips and thighs. Baby is apparently 4lb of that at the moment. Hoping she isn't a giant like hubby was, I'm only a short bum! Last day of my holiday today until maternity starts really, going to gala bingo with my mum because we're so cool lol then a mooch in the super market.

My heartburn is killing me, I'm really looking forward to sleeping on my front again. Xx

Summer you could be all water retention you know and still have a small baby! My bump is huge and I know I've put on over a stone but it's all bump, my midwife said that doesn't mean I'll have a big baby. I probably will tho haha! Xxxx

At the end of my last pregnancy (last week) I'm so glad I didn't weigh myself, I really puffed out.. All of me! Cankles, fat face etc lol.

Michelle glad Harry is better today! Hope he stays well for the day x

Quick update as I am about to go shopping for baby stuff but scan went well, he very healthy little boy, very tall and very porky -4lb 15oz already! Placenta moved up so natural birth for me but praying I go early with another 8 weeks to go til due date as if they put on 1lb a week then it is going to hurt!!!

Glad scan went well. We've just been to the consultant and midwife thinks this one is breech too. Bit gutted but something we'll have to worry about nearer the time. Have to go back at 37 weeks when they'll scan to check. Wish they'd have scanned today x
