*~*~* September 2015 Mummies *~*~*

I love Ella too, if first baby was a girl we were going to call her Ella May but sadly it didn't work out and it didn't feel right to use it with Ruby if you know what I mean x

Yeah 100% know what you mean babe! Ruby is gorgeous!

Any advice on best places to get fitted for a maternity bra? Xxxx

No hun, I am terrible and haven't bothered getting measured even though mine clearly don't fit well any more. I really should look into it haha. Reminds me that I also need to order new elastic sleeping nursing bras as the ones I kept from Ruby don't fit anymore due to having put more weight on this pregnancy lol x

I slept on the sofa last night as I was too excited to sleep!! Think after an evening thinking of names it all seemed very real and I was just buzzing! Oh dear!

Bunny I love indi, really pretty choice. And Michelle summer is such a beautiful name, gorgeous x

Mine don't fit anymore and piss me off being so tight I really don't want to go in to labor at home and get frustrated at how tight my boobs feel haha!! The small things. I might just order the next size up xxx

I got mine in m&s. The girls in there were lovely and really helpful. They measure too. The also had (i think this was the offer) £5 off when you spend 30 and £10 off £50. I love mine. Theyre sooo comfortable! Xx

Hi ladies, just spoke to the midwife at the hospital and my GTT came back borderline  they consider 7.8 and above Gestational diabetes and mine was 7.7. She told me to eat as healthily as possible (minimise sugar intake). If I have glucose in my urine at my next m/w appointment then I have to go back to the hospital and repeat the GTT test again ... Just getting a bit concerned at how late this is coming - I'll be 37 weeks at my next m/w appointment.

Trouble is I think I eat quite healthily - I cook all my meals from scratch/ eat only wholemeal/whole grain rice and pasta / always get my 5 a day / all I drink is water - my only vice is chocolate - I probably have some form of chocolate bar every day plus the odd crumble or something for dessert - guess I'll just have to cut that out completely ... wAAAHH!

Do you reckon I should ask to see my midwife sooner? Currently not seeing her until a week on Thursday ...

In the meantime I think I should do my best to eat as if I have it - Michelle do you use any good meal planners/ recipe websites? Not really sure where to start ...

Xxx

Nope. I just called in. There was a good few staff on so i didnt need to wait around either :)

Id ring your mw if your worried summer and see what she reccommends. Otherwise youll keep worrying about it xx

Mine was 7.6. There must be a big difference between the numbers?
It is ridiculously late to be doing all of that! I'd see if your mw could fit you in this week x

Not sure what a normal increase would be, mine went from 4.3 to 7.7
Thanks, Think I will try and see my midwife this week instead of next given that there's not a great deal of time left ...
Xxx

Yeah I'd see if midwife could fit you in this week, I don't see mine till 19th August and considering meant to see them every 2 weeks im not too happy about it so may ask to be seen sooner and I don't have as many worries as you.

Hope you're ok xxxx

Maybe TMI but just did the dreaded shaving task of down there and my legs, this is far too hard I feel like I've just ran a marathon!! Haha xxx

Mine was 8 lady pg n 8.5 this one so they didn't class me as really far over but defo had it.

As for recipes I never did any specific ones for diabetes just cut out the sugar n careful of drinks, I never drank fizzy but have cut out fruit juices now n my beloved milkshakes. I got a leaflet this time but last time I had a proper appointment with a dietician or nutritionalist I can't remember who that gave me ideas n tips. Such as a snack should b less than 5g/5ml sugar per every 100g/100ml. Also of u want a treat eat it with ur main meal so ur body is already working to get rid of the glucose.

I would see if u cud get a mw appointment but try nit to worry to much I'm sure u r fine hun n a few tweaks Will defo make u ok. Hope that helped a little.

Michelle.x

Oh mine went from 5.6-7.7
Not sure what that all means though to be honest.

Bunny, hard work isn't it!? Haha!

Just napped for 2 hours and last night I slept for nearly 9 hours! So tired. Stinking headache, doh! Xx

Actually got so fed up yesterday of people saying I looked like I only had a week to go and 'you won't go full term' 'you've really dropped' etc. People always like to comment and it's boring hearing it over and over x

Hard work? It's like mission impossible!!! I really don't know how I'm going to keep up with the maintaining but I can just imagine me being off my head on gas & air and say something about 'I'm sorry about my hairy foof' or something. Imagine! Are you ladies just doing it in the mirror? I can't even lean over my bump to reach.

Kelly I get the same 'wow you look your going to pop any minute' I feel like screaming well yes I am due to have a baby in 5 weeks!!!!

I'm the other way ladies I still look so small that everyone n I do mean EVERYONE comments on how small I am n oh ur over 34wks wow he tiny!! Yes I know I am n yes I am going to give birth in a month but it's not a small baby esp to me carrying it around!!! Lol. I can still shave normally at the mo as bump is small n up high still.

Michelle.x

I feel your pain bunny, I tried to do it in mirror the other day as I can't see past bump anymore and it was really awkward. I told OH he gotta help me nearer due date so I am not a hairy beast lol x

Just had this message off Gilly ladies - I'll keep you updated

On my way into hospital for monitoring, these September babies keep us on our toes. Had bloods taken earlier to test for obstetric cholestasis as my feet swelled and the itching I had on my bump has got worse along with itchy feet and hands. Haven't had any movement today so go to go and have them listened to. Xxx
