*~*~* September 2015 Mummies *~*~*

Thank you lovely! I think OH will be doing the majority of it. I'm too pregnant for a house move haha!

I haven't no babe but I think a couple of the ladies on here will be able to help you.

Would anyone like to do my labor thread? I'm due 5th September just in case your due really close to me and didn't want too do one at same time you may be going in haha x x

Wow tessa very quick labor.

My friend was 3 hours with her 1st, 1 hour with her second and she's due again so they've taught her OH how to deliver because she could be even quicker this time round !! x x

I'll do it Bunny if you like? I'll be done before you as my section will be August. :)

Awww yes please Gilly I would love that - added you on FB if you want me to DM my number?

Sure you won't be too occupied with 3 little ones, don't want to burden you x x x

Glad to hear your girls are doing well Gilly! :)
Must be frustrating when you were expecting to hear section date today but like you say - happy and healthy is the important thing.

Congratulations on the house bunny!! It's such a lovely feeling to own your own home - now you can really begin nesting!! :)

Gosh you are all so organised with your post birth exercise regimes! You never know though - after my mum had my brother she dropped to a ridiculous 7.5stone!! he was a big baby (9lbs 10) and she breastfed - he literally drained her haha! Doctor put her on protein shakes alongside her normal meals to build her weight back up

Just a quick question - has anyone been doing anything to help prevent tearing in labour? I've read about the old perineal massage but to be honest makes me a bit squeamish (I know that sounds ridiculous when I'm going to give birth). Some people swear by it, some say it did absolutely nothing. just wondered if anyone was doing anything - or just going with 'what will be will be'?
Xxx

Thanks Summer ! I know just can't wait to be all settled now :)

Hoping the next couple of weeks will go fast now with the house, 2 weeks left in work and the baby shower. Days seem to have been dragging recently.

What is a perineal massge? xxxx

Wow that is quick labours - what weight was the baby or does that not have much effect?
Yes healthy growing babies is all that really matters! :)

On another note- sorry to ask so many questions! But Iv stopped taking my multi vits as they're agrivating my sickness are you all really vigilant about taking them?

I'll be fine Bunny, knowing what my son was like the twins will be sleeping most of the time at that point anyway! :) Send me a message with your number and I'll be more than happy to do your labour thread. Xx

I got told after 12-20 weeks you can stop taking your vits babe as baby gets everything from you, I personally still take them alongside my fruit and veg ones but I know everyone's different. If they are making you sick I wouldn't continue taking them just get lots of fibre and iron in your diet , double check with MW tho x x x

Thanks Bunny - that's reassuring, Mw wasn't keen on recommending one way or the other incase she was liable just said 'do what you need to do!' X

Ah bunny and gillyboos exciting you are all paired up!

Yes we have been told to prepare for a home birth just in case... Need to get on that as craig would have no idea ~ but then if it's that quick chances of him being here for it are small anyway! Who knows! I may do a print out for whoever happens to be around! Haha!

Baby was 6lb3 last time chardrap so a really little one given that she was born on her due date. Have heard bigger ones are easier to birth often as they have Gravity on their side.

Sorry you are feeling sick, I am not taking tablets any more just making sure I am eating well.

Also, did perenial massage last time and still tore and had a cut too. Will prob give it a go this time too ~ can't hurt! X

Have a look at this bunny ...

I'm not too sure  haha ... But obviously we'd all like to avoid tearing as much as possible!
Xxx

I couldn't bring myself to massage last time. Concentrated on kegels. I only had a graze in the end. Xx

Just looked at the link... I didn't do that!!!! I just rubbed the odd bit of Vaseline on ~ haha! Maybe thats why it didn't work! X

Ruby was 8lb8oz and a very difficult 23 hour labour so I am happy to dispel the myth that bigger babies are easier to birth lol. I honestly think it just depends on the individual. Those are really speedy births you had hun! Someone I used to work with did it start to finish in 45 mins and had baby on bathroom floor by accident as she thought she had ages to go until she needed to be at hospital lol x

I'm not bothering with massage, I tore badly and had an episiotomy last time and have been told you are more likely to tear second time if you tore the first. Keep forgetting to do my pelvic floors too, really must make the effort or I will be the one wearing nappies after birth! X

Ha that is what I am worried about h!! still no point stressing as what will be will be, as long as baby gets here and is ok that's all that matters! Agree with you it all depends on individual, we just jave to see how we go! X

Twins weight 3.6lbs and 3.75lbs, just did a Google (I know I shouldn't!) and they seem small compared to other twins. Registrar never mentioned them being small, and they are still within the percentiles on the graph but there's mum's saying their babies are 4/5lbs!!

Definitely hun. Even if you end up having baby at home I am sure all will be fine as I know if you phone hospital they will send an ambulance and talk your partner through what to do on phone if it comes to it. Hopefully that won't be an issue though and you will make it to hospital in plenty of time :)

My sister in law doesn't feel contractions at all which you would think is a good thing but she only knew she was in labour from waters breaking, went straight to hospital and the baby's head was crowning in the car park, she got into labour room pulled her pjs down and out popped baby, she didn't even have time to take her shoes off! Madness! X
