*******~~~October Mummies~~~*******

Your message made me chuckle Gemsy! I was cleaning the shower yesterday so sat down in the shower bit to clean the bottom of the glass and literally could not get myself back up again! Feeling so uncomfortable at night now, rolling over in bed is such a hassle!! Haven't had any 'big' comments yet but am off for the summer break as am a teacher so probably will when I go back in September as my bump was quite small when I started the hols but is certainly growing quickly now! 10 weeks to go...

Xx

I was wondering what every ones baby movements are like now? im 31+1 weeks. I only seem to get shuffles now and general moving rather than kicks. baby has been head down and stayed that way for about 3 weeks now and im 1/5 engaged, how is everyone else doing at this stage? x x

Mine has a couple of sessions a day where I get big kicks, but most of the time they are little shuffles and turns. I think as long as it is normal for YOUR baby it is absolutely fine.

Mine was breech when I was checked a week ago, and I'm pretty sure still is :(

my baby is moving normally, its just I had my son at 35 weeks so a bit paranoid it will happen again, it isn't any easier the second time round lol x have you been given tips on how to turn baby? xx

Bouncing on my ball, and going on all fours is what I have been told so far! I have also been meaning to do some pregnancy yoga, but STILL haven't got round to it! :)

Baby has definitely moved down in some way, shape or form! Looked in the mirror yesterday and my bump has really dropped and is less tight at the top, I am desperate for a wee constantly, and I have a lot of movement right in my foof! LO has also been super active....please fingers crossed for me that baby has turned round! I've had a prod around and I can't tell!

Hi Hun my lo is also breach ATM or at least she was yesterday hope she turns for you soon x

that's so great! im so happy for you x is this your first baby?
sounds like the baby might have dropped or at least on his or her way down. xx

Yep, first baby :)

Something has definitely changed. Movement is in different places, and I have a lot of pressure down below.

that's fab then! first babies tend to stay engaged which is great as its a massive step towards the finish line. if you have a ball it will help get baby lower. x x
you will get really sick of needing to pee now lol xx

How do you know if they baby's head is engaged? What does it feel like? And when should it happen?

I'm not sure if it is engaged, as I can have bits sticking out both sides at the same time, but something has really changed in the way baby is lying, I can really feel it.

And god, I am getting majorly irritated already by the weeing, and its only been really bad for a couple of days. Sometimes I think sod it, I should just put a tena lady on and piss myself!

it should take a couple of weeks for the head to fully engage, if it's your first. then second onwards they might not engage until you give birth.
it can start to happen at any point after 30 weeks I believe as mine did at 30 weeks first time.
you will find the bump is lower, your pelvis becomes heavy and uncomfortable, baby starts to punch you in your pelvis and area lol and you should find eating and breathing slightly easier.
when it happened to me first time I noticed the pelvis pressure and discomfort when walking most, and people kept on telling me how low I was carrying (I had never noticed the difference with my bump when it lowered) x x I hope this helps xx

oh and when the babies head is engaging and right in your pelvis you feel you are going to pee yourself when you walk lol x x x

haha gemsy just read your post x I feel like this all the time, mostly at night! I always saying it in a joking manner to my partner knowing im being at least 50% serious lol x x

We have decided we're calling baby "Cody" not decided on a middle name yet x

that's a great name x we cant decide yet we quite like immie for a girl but lots of names floating about lol x x

OMG, I can't believe I forgot to write this on here! My nursery is FINISHED!! And I love it!!! :)

Yeay to the finished nursery, woo hoo!! Can't wait to get on Mat leave so we can start ours, exciting!! xx

on holiday at the moment girls. We managed to get 4 days away at the last minute, I am desperately trying to relax but yesterday had a major work crisis that we spent two days sorting out, I am so stressed :( self employment is not my friend at the moment :( I just desperately want to slow down and prepare for LO to arrive. OH is taking as much of the strain as he can but then I start to worry about his stress levels.
