.. October 2016 Mummies - First Trimester ..

Lovely pram i! I have a silver croos surf in black with turquoise accessories

No I've not looked at any yet. I tended not to use my prams once they got to the buggy stage. The silver cross one I had was more of a pushchair thing and I hated it lol. For my wee boy who is now nearly 3 I have a City Mini buggy and I love it it's still immaculate so no doubt baby will go in this when big enough. I also have a double city mini which I bought second hand when my wee boy was coming along so that will be good for holidays etc still once baby is up a bit and my 3 year old might need a rest! I have a bit of a buggy addiction! Haha.

Anyone seen any other nice prams?xx

Thank you! :D I was thinking that too. Grey goes beautiful with pink or blue/green! We are doing the nursery green and grey too. I love the colour grey.

You can never go wrong with silvercross, I had one for my son when he was newborn. Have you looked at any new prams yet? :)

Ummm only really had a quick look online but not been out yet and picked I feel Im a bit early, since having a MC trying not to get too ahead of myself. But I decided not to spend a bomb on the pram because we will also have to shell out for a ERFC so we decided on a budget of 300-400. I seen a isafe with loads of nice colours comes with everything even first carseat, I think all prams are more or less the same style with a different name on them. We also ended up opting for a decent stroller which will prob do again. (J was so long his legs hung right out at 5m) I was looking at a Cosatto too, quite like their travel systems. Need something swift and nimble and light for when I have the two to get into the house with when Im alone, as itll be doing the nursery runs, prob have a stroller for school runs

We will be finding out gender so wont go with a colour yet. I went with red first time round so thats out. I loved lime but Jacksons stroller is lime... He doesnt use it mind you but Id like a change, Im behind the wheels afterall :p

I loved the grey snuzpod, was gonna get that one but opting for white to match bedroom furniture in our room and the kids room.

So many decisions with two. I feel for those mums with the huge bouncy prams. Some can be lovely but fuck that in the bad weather  bumping it up and down. Hell to the no.

I had a big bouncing pram with my son and I loved it!! It was amazing for keeping the elements out, and we don't drive so we never had the issues of having to fit it into a car. I loved it but the buggy part from a big too heavy and certain shops I couldn't get it in. Still was amazing though, such a smooth ride.

Jaiden as a Graco stroller at the moment, we had a cosotto monster stroller but on mine and my husbands wedding day it snapped! Only had it for a year too. They're quite small bodied anyway so was planning on getting a new buggy soon anyway. Shame though, I loved the design.

I've not phoned for my booking appointment because I can't decide which hospital I want to give birth!!

I had my first at the southern general which is now the new queen Elizabeth. I had my second at the rah. I live closer to the rah but I had a few issues with them with my last preg and labour. But the main reason is that I've had a run in with the physio at rah and I'm terrified that I might need to see physio again in this pregnancy and they won't be very nice to me. I just need to man up! Lolx

Im birthing at QEUH. I had J there and worked there so feel a bit more at ease.

Could be bedding up next to you

Id phone for your appt. Theyv changed the system now its a contact center and they give ypu a booking in and 12w over the phone. I phoned at 4w and my scan is 29th march which puts me 13w. Id phone now.

This could be very true! Lol. I will be a planned section this time. I had a third degree tear last time and was told in theatre if I had anymore it would need to be c-section as wouldn't be able to have natural delivery again. I had a planned section with my first as she was breach so I'm ok with it. Plus I recovered better from the section than I did from third degree tear!!!

I will call them tomorrow. Xx

Yeah theres something in the water up here atm.

Are you gonna get an early scan?

I did vaginal with J so should be routine, 2nd degree tear and epiostomy but nothing arnica oil and tcp in the bath didnt sort. We DTD at 4 weeks  I think we all heal different. My friends wee boy is 2.5 and her scar still has bother at times. But good you know youv coped well before.

As Ive got J and got no sleep in hospital thus setting me off into a cycle of exhaustion I will hopefully get a 6hr discharge this time. I still vividly remember when I got home, had a bath, clean pants and PJs and just sat on my bed and just felt instant relaxation.

I hope if I do get a fast discharge thatll mean no visitors. Very opposite to my first time. We live and learn :p I wanna cherish my first days just us and not have people coming in for the first few weeks then not bothering any other day. If you know what I mean

Yes think going to pay for early scan. I managed to wangle one with my wee boy and it was a disaster because I was earlier than I thought and they couldn't see a heartbeat. Thankfully the following week all was as it should be! So I think this time will pay for one. Baby scanning are doing special offer just now and I'm sure I used them for gender scan with my wee girl. When I had her Glasgow didn't offer a 20week scan unless you were high risk! This was only 7 years ago!! So we have to pay for a 20 weeks scan and found out the gender.

I have no probs now with my scar but at the time it was hellish and I had to go back in at 4 weeks for a further op! I had lost a lot of blood and also breast feeding so just don't think my body recovers very well. I think third time round in prepared for whatever happens happens! Lol.

I know what you mean about getting home. Although I do like to spend one night in hospital just to have that total 1-1 time with baby. Especially as this one will be my third and and as soon as you go home your kids just want mummy which is natural. Although I guess with the section I will be in longer. Think I was 3 nights with my first. Maybe get home in 2! Lol. As by second day in desperate to get home! Lol.

Everyone is different I suppose. My friend just had her third and she was home in the 6 hour rule. I swear her babies just walk out!:shock: She has fab fast labours lol.

I think J will be staying along the road at my mums for 1 or 2 nights just till we find our feet and bond. Of course he will get to visit me and LO in hospital and at home :p

I went overdue 13 days he had to be pried out but actually was quite quick once I got going 7hr labour, out 9mins from being classed 10cm and didnt need a drip as waters went themself. I really enjoyed my labour but Im a diff type of nervus only because before it was fear of complete unknown were as now, you know what happens or can?

Im booked in with baby scanning for my birthday Ill be 8+. Its £37.

Sorry to hear about the scar, was that at RAH? I cant fault QEUH but thats because I wanted left alone which I was but for others whos a first time mum and not so confident might find the support a bit lacking. My SIL tried to BF and got no support and ended up in longer as my neice dropped weight bt like I say I cant fault them I loved the peace.

Whats your first name btw? So i can add it to the front page, my OCD is gettig the better of me.

That sounds like a good labour! Hope you get same again.

I breastfed both of mine and didn't ask for any help really. I knew I wanted to do it and when my planned natural labour ended in a planned section for some reason it made me even more determined to stick with it despite the initial pain and cracked nipples!! Then I just preferred it as didn't need to think about being organised or to leave house etc. lol.

Yeah that's same one. Is it still on Ingram St? My names is Lisa xxx

Hi, I'm Mary and my estimated due date is 5th October. Annoyingly three days before my Husband is going to be Best Man for the first time at a friends wedding three hours away, so there is a good chance I won't be able to make it to join him at the wedding!
This is my first pregnancy and I feel like I can't really get excited yet until I've been to the doctors for my first appointment. Is this just me?

Morning ladies! I've had the most horrendous sleep for the past 2 nights. Seen every hour of the clock and have tossed and turned God knows how much ..my back is getting sore if I lie in the same position too long! So it's going to be a long day for me! Get my doctors results for my urine sample tomorrow so it's something to focus on today. Have a good day everyone! Xx

Hi girls! Bleeding has stopped, and will be having a scan at 8:50 this morning to see how things are.
I love that pram! Its gorgeous! Like the colour too.
If I am still pregnant I won't be buying a new pram I'll be using my 'old' one which is a mothecare xtreme or my out n about.

Hope you're all OK?

I've had some weird pain this morning, itso not cramping but been in the exact same place, only lasts for about 2 seconds, but it's sharp!
I have the doctors today so I'll ask there, just a bit concerned now atm x
