November Mummies! <3

Oh wow I had no idea they could tell you how far down that's quite cool. Hopefully they would've told you if baby isn't engaged? How exciting you two could be giving birth any day!! I'm all the way at the end of November !

The sweep just because my blood pressure is high, they don't want me going longer than needed.

In your green notes are they plotting your bump size? If so you can work it out, roughly. Follow the curve your plots are taking until 40 weeks. That's how the midwife does it. Not accurate at all, though. Xx

AHHh I see!

All notes are electronic here so sadly I can't see! Never mind! Me and my brother were tiny babies though and I'm measuring slightly under the curve when she showed me - though she wasn't bothered. Dunno if that means anything? Just don't wanna push a 8+lbser out lol

If you were under the curve (as I am) I don't think it'll be 8lb. I've been given 7lb 6oz - 7lb 8oz estimate.

However it's not accurate at all 'cause it depends how much fluid you have and baby's position. Like I feel my baby is bigger than estimated as I feel little waters around him. I also feel he's long as his heads engaged but I'm still getting heartburn, kicked in the ribs etc. Midwife said there's just no give.

I think the head size is the biggest concern

I've never really had kicks - I mean yeah he kicks but I feel more rolls? Like I feel him rolling about and sometimes he rolls into what feels like my bladder lol. He doesn't feel like he's going to be big but I've never been pregnant before. I can't feel his head either I don't know how she did it lol
X

I can't feel the head either but midwife finds it every time. I don't like squishing around too much in case I squash it.

I think they way the heads the worst part I think after that it's pretty much one last push and they're out. Although I don't remember too much. However I remember the pushing part DID NOT hurt for me. At all. It was more of a relief type feeling.

I'm exhausted today, been dress shopping with my bridesmaids (although supposed to be resting due to BP)

OH made me the hottest chilli con carne I've ever tasted as we're trying to get the ball rolling.

I'm now in bed with cake as I feel rotten, keep going hot & cold and got a headache.

Bet you feel relieved to be finished April! :) xx

Hi everyone, happy Sunday :)

Glad all went well with your appt Starchild, did you have PET with your first? I had it with my first and high blood pressure with my third but this time it seems to be getting lower the closer I get - might be the aspirin as I didn't take it with my others.

My pelvis is just about coping at the moment, the little lady isn't engaged but then none of the others did either so it's not a surprise. She does appear to be quite a bit smaller than the others though, I've had a 9lbs6, 9lbs9 and 9lbs1 whereas she's tracking on the chart for just over 8lbs - and I've put on half the weight that I normally do! Strange because I've done nothing differently?!

Will be stalking the thread going forward, time for some of these babies to start arriving!! Can't believe I'm in two weeks tomorrow - where has the time gone!? xx

Sorry what's PET?

I had high blood pressure with my first, starting at 32 weeks. This time it's only just come on.

I'm back at the midwife tomorrow for a check, if the bottom number is above 95 I'll have to be admitted.

How far are you? I was told to stop taking aspirin a few weeks ago.

I'm 39 weeks tomorrow. X

38 weeks today! I've spent the evening bouncing on my ball and willing baby to make an appearance!

I'm gonna try some natural ways to bring on the baby, as I don't fancy pessary or having my waters broken next week.

Although, BP check today might change everything. Fingers crossed it's not high. X

Hope everyone is doing well!

I’m not entirely sure if my waters have broken and trickling slowly...
I felt a small jolt this morning whilst brushing my teeth but no big dramatic gush.. just been feeling a little wetter down there since. Not a lot, but considerably wetter. It also smells different than pee, its like a vague semen and sweat mix (gross, sorry). I’ve put a pad in now just so I can check the smell or if theres a show I can see it clearer.. Feel silly calling my midwife to tell her incase its nothing

This will sound odd....but....
I keep getting this feeling down below that a bubble is popping. Its not baby hiccups as its a totally different feeling.
Any ideas?!?!

Rachel I get that! Like my tummy rumbling but real low down lol no idea what it is though perhaps the baby blowing bubbles?

Cati, I would get checked if you think your leaking. Take the pad with you & I think they can test it to see if it's amniotic fluid.

They do say it smells like semen.

My BP was up to 98 but midwife checked again at end of appt and it had gone down to 90 so I avoided being admitted.

Back on Friday, then Monday for a sweep. 39 today and my daughter was born 39+2. X

PET is pre-eclampsia :) My bottom number is between 65-70 now which is low for me in pregnancy but they have said to keep taking aspirin until the day before my section. I'm 37wks today x

Sending you all labour vibes ladies xx

The day before?!

No I never developed pre eclampsia, I got medication at 33 weeks (labetalol) and had a few overnight stays due to protein in urine.

Fortunately this time it didn't start as early so even less risk of developing pre eclampsia although 1 in 4 women with PIH will develop it, which is scary. X

Went to my parent class today. Learnt that Sweden don't swaddle their babies and advise against it, apparently they just lie their in a bodysuit. I bought some beautiful Aidan and anais swaddles too. My hospital has 4 beds on delivery and one "bathtub" she called it a bathtub and not pool. She said it may be closed it if didn't pass its bacteria inspection.

And that Sweden has a 25% c section rate UK 40% and Brazil something like 90%! We're apparently lucky if a health visitor or midwife comes out post delivery otherwise we go to GP surgery to see them. Which is fanstastic because it's bloody cold here in the winter :(

Yep the day before.... if I was on for a natural birth it would be until she came. My emergency section with my first was because induction failed when I developed pre-eclampsia. Was fine with my second and then had PIH with my third. I thought it was standard guidelines now to keep taking it but maybe it is different in different counties??

I was told to stop at 36 weeks with the aspirin to reduce any excessive blood loss during delivery.

T2186 that doesn't sound great, doesn't pass is bacteria inspection? :/

I remember when I had my daughter more often than not we had to take her to the clinic & it was freezing & highly unpractical. Hope it's not the case this time, don't fancy dragging out baby & toddler in the cold. X
