November Mummies! <3

It's at the end of the month :)

Saw some lovely snowsuits today, lots of lovely ones in Mothercare and found some in T K Maxx too

Do you guys tumble dry baby clothes? I just did a load and they look like they'll need an iron and I really don't want to haha wondering if I should stick them in the dryer ..

X

I've never owned a tumble dryer! I've ironed them all this time (same first time round) so they look all nice in the drawers but once baby is here, tough, nothing gets ironed lol.

I love ironing, so I always put clothes on the line then iron them. I find ironing relaxing for some reason haha

I ironed them all last time, but I had time on my hands. This time I've got a 3yo and ironing isn't at the top of my list. I will however have a little go over on the ones I'm putting in the hospital bag if they need it. I want him looking smart in hospital, not like nobodies child. I prefer to dry them in the dryer, on a low heat, as they're much softer than line drying I think.

I've ordered a new changing bag which is coming tomorrow I'm gonna pack all babies things in there & I've got a business suitcase for my things (was gonna take a bag but then seen this & it has wheels, so be so much easier.)

Anyone else packed? I sort of packed just in case for my weekend away but gonna proper pack tomorrow. X

Oh thanks for the drying tips!
Gah I hate ironing Cati! Teach me your ways haha
My sister in law knitted me a blanket and it's so beautiful. I washed it with my mama and papas blankets and they all smell like farts!!! No lie!!! It's originating from the one my sister in law knitted. I've washed them all three times and added coconut fabric conditioner and still smells like one big fart 😭😭

Just been on H&M website and they have snowsuits in, dunno if it's just in Sweden though xx

When you say you're low on newborn Starchild how do you mean? I think I'm low too I only have about 8 babygrows in newborn size and then maybe 6 0-3 and then some joggers up to 1 month and tops maybe 5 up to 1 month. Everyone keeps telling me not to buy too much but I don't think I have enough?

I'm sort of packed - my bag is half done, baby bag is half done and my daughter's overnight bag is totally done. I've got everything I need for me and baby, just need to organise it properly.

My daughter properly started pre-school this week, two mornings 9.30-12.30, so next time she's there I'll be finishing off the last bits.

I've got baby's things all packed and ready in the hospital bag. My stuff are going in slowly but surely.
I keep worrying I don't have enough newborn/first size things. I have plenty up to 1 month and 0-3 months. I'm sure it'll be fine

That's unusual I wonder where the smell is coming from?? Are they properly dry?

I don't have many first size. Most of mine are 0-3 month which is around 10/12lb and my baby is estimated 7lb6oz so first size would be the better fit. I only have a handful.

Yeah. I'm gonna see what size baby is, then send OH out to buy a couple more if need be, depending on his size. I wouldn't wanna spend loads on first size as if he's born bigger than estimated he might not get any wear out of them.

0-3 will last a fair bit so I'll be buying plenty of those for all those sicky nighttime changes we had with our daughter lol

My new bed has just arrived! We've been sleeping on the mattress on the floor since we moved, I cannot wait to get into bed tonight!

I've got another load of baby clothes in the wash. Was thinking of taking them over to my MILs to put them in the dryer. I'm not sure on how to use any other settings other than what it's set on. Will it definitely need to be low heat or any other suggestions etc?

Gunna pop to matalan soon and see if I can get a light dressing gown for my hospital bag. Gunna start laying things out tonight so hubs and I can pack it this week, or quite possibly tonight. Saw a really good tip to actually have your partner pack it so he knows where everything is as he'll probably be the one passing you things from it, so thought that was a good idea! Without seeing everything we have for my bag, I think I just need to try a nursing bra for size and order a few, then I think that's all I need.

I only have a small collection of newborn as I can't see me having a small baby, so majority of our clothes to start with are up to one month. Also have a three pack of tiny baby in case we go in early, just incase. Then have quite a few 0-3, few 3-6 and the odd pack of 6-9!

Xx

I bought nursing/sleeping bras from Jojo Maman Bebe the other week. Tried them on and they are a DREAM! So comfy and keeps everything in check

It's so so so exciting seeing little clothes drying, makes everything a lot more real!

That is a good idea April! But if OH packed mine I'd end up repacking it.

My changing bag arrived & I've packed baby's bag. I've packed 3 first size (9lb) vests & babygrows. Gonna pack an extra bag for OH to bring in case we have to stay in longer.

I've packed baby a towel, it's taking up room in the changing bag & im wondering if it's necessary. I know the nurse 'showed me' how to wash my LO & her hair...but surely hospital will have towels? Hmm

X

I was in for 4 nights with my daughter and we didn't wash her once whilst there?! It was never offered and didn't even think to ask. I'm not packing a towel for baby, just myself.

I think I'll take this one out. I'm hoping to be in & out this time. And perhaps with it being my second they won't do the whole washing thing.

I've just looked on pampers website at what to pack & I've got the essentials covered. Plus I've packed milk & teats ( even tho my SIL said they gave her milk & even some to take home )

Just woke up with the most painful sharp pain ever, for a few minutes on left side of bump. No idea what it was, but it hasn't been back. Baby's still moving plenty so I haven't rung anyone yet. My midwife is coming over in the morning so I'm going to wait and mention it to her unless it comes back

Could it be stretching a ligament?

I've a 36 week apt today.

3 days left at work, tomorrow, Saturday & Sunday & I'm done! X

I feel so poorly today - I was awake a lot of the night with period pain type cramps and have woken up feeling really nauseous.

I have my 36 week growth scan and midwife appointment next Weds - then I don't see her again unless I go overdue!
