Being kept in for two nights
I was working all day and found a bit of blood (I was in a portaloo, very glamorous!) so I called in. They checked heartbeat and everything like that was fine, but they did some test and found I had a higher risk of a preterm labour, so being kept in as a precaution and having a sort of steroid to make sure baby's lungs are strong enough just incase of preterm labour. They're stabbing me IN THE BUM. TWICE.

Oh that doesn't sound good Cati! April is right tho, you're in the best place! Although going home is the best feeling I remember getting took into hospital for a night almost every week with my daughter and I hated it, couldn't wait to get home! Lol

Waiting for a doctor to come over and chat. Coming back on Monday for a scan just to triple check.
Been having backache thats different to normal this afternoon, followed by tummy pain. Baby is kicking a bit more by now though.

Back home now. Bubba's kicking and wriggling seems to be back to normal since last night.
So happy to be home, it was starting to get a bit confusing in the hospital, one doctor saying I've got 40% chance of going into preterm labour and another saying the opposite. I think as long as I take it easy and listen to baby it'll all be fine

I'm in real discomfort tonight, my stomach hurts like someone is squeezing it. And I'm so bloated I can't get comfy and even breathing in is hurting.

I've also terrified myself with pre eclampsia. The midwife said if I have any symptoms at all I have to ring right away. So I've been having eye flashes, have lower back pain, and now with the stomach pain.. it said on the pre eclampsia website do not dismiss the symptoms and go to bed, scared! But I'm a worrier! X

They did some test and it came back positive for an increased risk of preterm labour. I wish I understood more but my brain was mush from tiredness and worrying!

Baby's movements are much much stronger today

Oh dear Cati well I hope baby stays put as long as possible!

I woke up and the stomach pain had gone so putting it down to wind. And I did have lots of eye flashes with my daughter, so it's probably nothing. But tomorrow I'm gonna pop to midwife tomorrow and get my blood pressure checked just to be safe. We've been out all day today, took little one to the dinosaur exhibition.

Got some serious backache right now! Ugh xx

Knopk@ my fasting blood sugar was 4,0 and after two hours it was 5,1 and they consider that fine here, I'm in Sweden.

Starchild, are you having braxton hicks is that what the tightness is?

I've gone up 13kg so far.. my abdomen is still weirdly large, everyone is making comments about how im having twins it's not funny anymore, lol. My midwife measured me and I'm measuring 4 weeks over than I should be. That's why they did the diabetes control. She wants to see me on Wednesday for another measurement and maybe be referred for another ultrasound. Has this happened to anyone else in previous pregnancies?

We have an ultrasound machine at work and when I don't have any patients I've been playing around with it and it's soooo cool to see, he's starting to rotate himself with his head down and legs up! and I could deff only see one baby lol!

I didn't measure big, I was the opposite and measured small with my daughter, they thought she was small but an US showed she was measuring 2 weeks ahead! They estimated 8+ lb at delivery from US but she was only 7lb 2 (average for me, also a week early) So in my experience stomach size cannot determine baby size. Also don't buy baby clothes on their estimated size from US.

I'm already measuring small with this one, only 1 week behind atm though. I'm not worried as I feel it's all baby again. Wouldn't mind another US though. :')

I have been getting Braxton Hicks. They're not nice at all, didn't really have them with my daughter! X

Do you now when it's Brixton hicks? Ive not had any pains but it's something I've been thinking about in the last week or so, like if I'll definitely know that's what it is? Xx

It's where your uterus tightens, your stomach will go hard for a few seconds/minutes. Sometimes it takes my breath away. It can be uncomfortable & make your tummy feel heavy. It makes me feel like I need the loo as well. The other night when I had them I was getting severe pain in my lower back radiating down my leg. I felt like I was in labour. My midwife said it's normal and not to worry unless they have a regular pattern & increase in intensity/frequency. X

So you definitely know when it's braxton hicks and not just a random pain? I assume you don't need to ring midwife when you get them as it's normal? I keep thinking about all these random things that I know will happen eventually like this and loosing plug etc haha! Huge over thinker here haha xx

Not necessarily, they may be mild & you don't realise. No they're normal unless you think it could be actual contractions then you should ring. I didn't lose my plug. Or not that I noticed. Hmm!

I'm an over thinker too. Don't worry about things like that though & if you are worried about anything just give your midwife a ring. xx

Ah hope all is okay, mine has on the occasion been a little lazy, but the last few days he seems to have been very energetic! Which is the total opposite of his mummy! Haha

Starchild! I hope you font mind me popping over. Thought id pop over from tri1 to say hello. I was on forum ttc early this year when you got your bfp! We stopped ttc in apr and decided having 2 was great. However, came back ftom hols in july with a bfp....wasnt expecting it and was in shock for a while as we had psychologically moved on im almost 7 weeks now! Hope youre ok and sickness gone now! Good look with the final tri hun x

I am getting really overwhelmed with all the things I need to buy.. I don't know how many of each thing I need.. Why are there so many variations in bodysuits?!!! with arms, without arms, without legs and with arms.. like gahhh i don't know what I'm doing lol! How long do they stay in newborn things? Sorry to be asking dumb questions lol.. whilst I'm at it.. for those of you who have or are going to breastfeed.. I was planning on buying a breast pump with a couple of bottles to go with it from Medela ? I think it's called... Anyway do you think I need a whole bottle kit from like tommee tippee and a steriliser and a bottle warmer? or is that more for formula? Im just thinking for when I express.. So overwhelming!
