I'm leaving work at end of September so will be 34 weeks. Managed to save enough holiday to take all of October as holiday and then official maternity leave will start at 39wks on 6th November when I'm booked in a for a C-Section.

We need to start a nursery - need to buy furniture and car seat but otherwise, I think we've pretty much got everything now. Was conscious not to leave it until last minute when we'll be needing to have money for Christmas for the other three.

24weeks tomorrow - always feel a bit better when I get to that milestone xx

Hi ladies, has anyone had a GTT?Where I am they do it for every woman regardless. However they use different guidelines for diagnosing GD. The doctor phoned me last night and said I have a mild GD. Upon questioning further,my fasting result was 5.4 and they consider anything over 5.1 GD. However, in the UK its 5.6! I am so upset with thr whole situatio. I never had GD neither am I obese etc but they overmedicalise everything here. Now they want me on the diet, glucose monitor etc.
I am going in on Wednesday to see the doctor and I am going to have to fight the doctor or change the hospital all together.

I wouldn't worry too much about what your doctor is saying. Keep what they say in mind but also listen to your own body

I'm having a GTT at 27weeks as my brother is diabetic - my other three were quite big (9lbs+) so I do wonder if I was borderline previously... time will tell I guess.

How is everyone? Ordered my furniture yesterday - think we're near enough all done!! Eek!! x

My last week in tri 2!

I've sorted maternity & my last day will be the 8th of October. On countdown lol

I feel like I've rarely visited the midwife this time round? Not back until the 9th August. We've still not done any preparation for baby... we've got clothes that people have bought us which I'm gonna wash & hang up in LOs wardrobe until we empty the nursery & decorate it & baby gets his own wardrobe lol we've not chosen a pram, don't have a name, I actually said to OH it still doesn't feel real.

Heartburn has became unbearable to the point I'm almost sick.

Baby is kicking hard now which is great!

Hope everyone is well! Looking forward to catching up with everyone in tri 3 when hopefully we'll have more time to relax! X

I'm finding he's very responsive when I play music to him!

I had a really vivid dream last night that our baby was born. He was very early, (my pregnant friend due in 3 weeks hadn't had her baby so was in the next 3 weeks!) he was tiny, and he had the smallest amount of blond hair & blue eyes like mine. It was amazing & I feel quite odd about it now. I remember watching OH holding him & choosing his name... first dream I've had like that. X

I've had two dreams like that. Woke up both times feeling very strange and wanting to badly to go back

My daughter had her two year health visitor check up yesterday, she did my antenatal appointment at the same time. I didn't know there was such a thing! I'm sure I didn't first time around.

Having my GTT test now.. sent to phlebotomy again because they couldn't find a vein and tried three times
Anyone know how I can pass the time? Two hours to wait haha!

It came back all fine although my arm is black and blue from all the failed attempts at blood taking! Haha

Feeling baby move a lot more now and starting to develop a pattern, moves for a few mins every 2 hours ish. Gonna try out an app on my phone to track it better
