*** November 2014 Mummies! ***

Definitely make sure u get what u want hun. It's awful to think that such an important life event could potentially be controlled by others!!

Twinkle fab bump pic Huni happy 21 weeks!! :) xx

Dig your heels in babyphoenix! I completely agree that a hospital birth will not help prevent PND. Tell your consultant that hospitals make you anxious or depressed and it's that that will affect your chances of PND. Like Mellie said, if there's no physical risk to you or the baby, there should be no reason to force a hospital birth.

Mellie, glad your scan went well yesterday, though it sounds quite stressful getting there!

Jasmine, good that yours went well too, nice to see it wriggling around!

I've got mine this afternoon, got my chocolate and jelly beans at the ready for a little sugar rush to make sure it moves! It can be a bit quiet in the middle of the day, when the scan is, I think it's because I'm moving a lot. It seems to get more lively when I'm still.

Hopefully, by the end of the afternoon I can stop calling baby 'it' and use a gendered pronoun!

Good luck for today hun. So excited to hear the gender :)
Hope baby is good for u and enjoys the energy from the choc and jelly beans hehe xx

oh how exciting nicejuicepair.... will be tuning in for results!
xxx good luck

I literally have no idea what your baby is going to be NJP, hopefully baby cooperates and flashes! I had a packet of poppets before I went in and baby was awake and wriggling about. He wriggles for ice cream the most though! Haha

Good luck NJP!

Phoenix your choice to have a home birth is up to you, the consultants can only recommend a hospital birth if they feel you will need medical assistance, if you've got a straight forward pregnancy they cannot tell you to have a hospital birth and can't force you to!

I'm consultant led because I'm on anti coagulation jabs daily and have had two inductions so far but I'm hoping for a natural labour this time round and have been told by one consultant that it should be ok as long as I go get checked as soon as I think something is starting at home and confirm labour is starting so I can stop the medication, but it depends on what the other consultant says as to whether I'm allowed to have a spontaneous labour or not and if the other consultant says no then she has to agree with him and refuseven too and induce me at 38 weeks. I'm going to push it as mug as I can to go spontaneously because my body wasn't ready for DD and it took 3 days of slow labour before they started the drip and got things going and even then it was slow and drawn out because my body wasn't ready. I want the chance to go naturally and hypno birth in a pool! Xx

23 weeks today! 4 hours until I see my boy again :-)

Awwww Katie your bump is so cute, it's crazy how far we all are now! Approaching our V days!! Good luck at the scan, I want to see piccies! Xx

rest as much as you can baby Phoenix!.. Must admit I didn't know you could ask for a sweep when you want.. I just thought you had to wait until they say so :-/

You can't ask for one when you want, but you can decline one if you don't want it, is what I meant.

Good luck for finding out gender NJP!

Also I got my first ever comment from a stranger in Sainsbury's yesterday! He was a member of staff and me and OH were in the alcohol aisle. He told me (jokingly of course!) "You shouldn't be in this aisle in your condition!"

Haha :D. I was so chuffed someone had commented hahaha.

thanks for posting bumps pics later... I keep taking pics, but they look rubbish. I have a very big bum as well as bump so it doesnt make for a good pic...

will keep trying and post one soon...

Thank you twinkletoes! Will be sure to put a photo on if I can get a nice one :-) I'm still confused by my bump.. When I lie down I look tiny! Will have to see what he's measuring and weighing today :D

144 days to go.... plus probably another 14 because I'll no doubt be late... ENOUGH ALREADY! Im tired and bored!

Starting to feel Taylor hiccuping!!

Very slight jerk-like movements felt on left side of bump, towards my hip. This is where his head is facing. Know it's not kicks as his feet are permanently positioned against my ribs...

It's a girl!

Got a rescan in two weeks as there's an issue with her foot - it's turned in a bit. The sonographer said it might just be how she's holding it but if it is an issue, it'll just take a little bit of physio to correct it so nothing to worry about.

Ohh a girl, how lovely. Now go shopping!!! :)
Thats hardly a big issue if it is turned in a little bit, can think of a lot worse things that could be wrong. Hopefully its nothing though and she was just sitting funny.

Yeah, my cousin's baby had it and it corrected within a few weeks. I'm getting another scan in two weeks just to check though.

It was a great scan, the sonographer was nice and it took ages because she couldn't get a good look at the face for checking the lips so I was in there ages. I forgot to eat something sugary but the baby was still bobbing about all over the place, wriggling away from the sonographer. She kept kicking where the probe was being pushed, as if she didn't like it poking her.

So yes, I can get shopping now - just got to find nice girly stuff that isn't too pink and frilly. Sainsburys have a nice set of stuff that is farmyard animal themed, it's not pink, just various animal colours, that's really cute. Going to get some of that. In fact, Sainsburys have a good range of things for girls that aren't just pink.

Here is little man today

He was a little monkey and wouldn't move to look at his heart but after me walking up and down and drinking cold water we got him to move slightly! Heart is okay, back again at 34 weeks to have another look at his kidneys.. One of them has now gone to normal size so just hoping the other one does too! If you look at the 3rd photo you can see his eyes, nose and mouth :-)
