This is my first proper TWW and I can't believe how much it is dragging and how much symptom spotting I'm doing even though I know full well I couldn't be having symptoms yet as I'm only 5dpo. It's turning out to be a very long two weeks.

I'm a bit late to this thread, it's my first month ttc. It took us 26 months ttc the first time around with 5 mcs in that time so I'm nervous but not exactly expecting to get a bfp so soon! I'm technically due tomorrow so I'll test on 8th, see if I get a birthday surprise. for you all xxx

Just a quick question ladies. I’ve read that even if you cycle length varies the luteal phase generally remains the same? Is the correct?

Last CL31 days - ovulated CD18 I started spotting at 12DPO and AF arrived after a Leuteal phase of 13 days.

This cycle I am currently on CD 30 but because ovulated on CD15 I am currently at 15dpo, does this then consider AF as late or do I wait until I get to the the end of the 31 days of the cycle?

If you've just come off b/c, your hormones may be all over the place and your luteal phase may be sorting itself out still. If it's all settled down and you're 100% sure of those O dates then yes, you're probably late take a test!

Thanks winterwolf, maybe I’ve not been off bc long enough for this to be completely settled then. We will just see what the next few days hold, going to wait and see what happens, I get so disappointed when I test early and get bfn I’m trying a different approach and waiting until I’m actually late. Only 2 more days to wait and luckily it’s a busy weekend to keep me occupied.

I know what you mean - I never test early. It's easier getting AF because at least that's the start of a new cycle. When I get a BFN it's so miserable because I lose all hope and just wait around for AF, which is depressing. It sounds like you're in with a good shot though so fingers crossed!!
