May mummies and rainbows to be :)

Hi ladies!!
I haven't been on in a long while. Few rough weeks and trying to keep my head down and get on with things for my little girl. Had my can 2 weeks ago and I'm due 23rd May :)
Sickness and nausea is finally starting to fade slightly and my appitite is slowly coming back. Xx
Hope your all well and feeling more yourself in your second tri xx

Cute! Do you think it's a boy??

A funny feeling yes, only had it at the scan. Plus I've had horrible sickness and nausea and never did with my dd. And when I had my scan with my little girl I had the girl feeling straight away but stayed team yellow with her. My cravings have been salty savoury foods and not been the healthiest I must admit! x

O just opened my mail and I've had my anomaly scan through for the 5th of January. The day before my birthday!

We are going to need a pram or something for on the farm, what is best for pushing through mud/cow poo?! Bigger wheels? I assume double wheels will get blocked? Anyone any experience with this? I'm hoping to get a nice pram for 'best' and using at home, taking in the car etc and then get a second hand one for getting dirty there and leave it up there but not really sure what to look at.

I had a double mountain buggy which dealt with most terrains - it's been down rough tracks, reasonable amounts of mud (although it can take a bit of lifting and shuggling if it's really boggy) and even managed in soft sand with it at the beach. I would advise air filled tyres as it will absorb the bumps a bit for baby.

A friend of mine had a baby jogger summit I think for doing lots of outdoorsy stuff. It has huge wheels at the back which be helpful - also the buggies you get for running have massive wheels which may work better on that sort of terrain than a normal pushchair. Just ideas though...I'm not mad on mud so I tend to stay away from it haha! I'm sure there will be reviews online where people have tried it on that sort of terrain. X

Quick question. I'm due my smear test next month and obviously I can't have it. I've noticed that my mw has requested I have a smear after the baby is born. Anyone know how soon after? Do they wait a month or do it right away? I'm more scared about the smear than labour at the moment daft as it sounds!

I hadn't ever had a smear when I had my first so I was told I needed one after baby. I think they cleared me for one at my 6 week check but basically told me that I could leave it until I felt ready so long as I did actually make an appointment. I think it was about 3 months postnatal in the end. I was terrified but it turned out after having a baby a smear was a walk in a park haha! X

Yea everything is going pretty well got 16week mw on Thurs. Great to see you here too. I've just had a paracetamol and a nap as I had a bad headache only hurts when I'm stood up though. Woke up coz I got bit on my leg near my bum! Ouch!

Eryinera, thanks for updating my due date! I forgot to say that my 20 week scan is 6th January :)

Cheers I've had 2 smears before both been fine it's just the thought of that after giving birth was a bit ouchy sounding!

Wow 16 week that's going so quick! You've just reminded me I have have to call the midwife to arrange mine.
O boo to the headache. I've had a similar headache for the last 3 weekends. Strange that it's only on weekends. I was glued to the settee as it was awful when I stood up! Hope it shifts soon! Omg to bite too!! Not a nice way to be woken up! Xx

I've got the headache. I've had it all day today. Paracetamol didn't help much :(

Have you tried Vicks vapour rub on your temples. That does help some of the time and can take the edge off x
