Hi ladies, sorry for those that are having a tough time. It doesn’t get any easier does it.
I’ve been on less recently because Ive been pretty busy with one thing and another and it’s helped me relax a bit.
I’m just a few days into the tww this month. Feel like it’s going to drag already.

Just had my little break down. was long due. saturday i was too numb to feel anything just had my full blown crying fit i have every month. its just so flamming depressing. i keep telling myself or trying to, its ok we are trying this next month etc. but i just dont think it will work and then what? argh seriously.

the thing we have started doing is 'icing' Does icing your balls improve fertility? | Testicular Cooling | Male Fertility
we are only doing this as we know DH has sperm issues and he has mild vericocle doctors dont think that matters but i do, i read it means the testicles are kept warmer then normal so decreased count, i cant see harm in doing this honestly. so we are and have been for 1-2weeks.

I think my OH's balls would climb back into his body if I would ever ask him to ice them. Can't you just ask him to take colder baths or showers?

Varicocele doesn't affect fertility though.. My cousin had it (and one twisted testicle which had to be removed!) and he got his wife pregnant on the second cycle.

Im not sure if it does / doesnt effect fertility we was kinda hoping tho to do this it would help :/ this is the kind of thing i found online.. did your cousin have low counts? I can only guess so far this is why he has a low count.. till he sees a urologist

Oh to add i mean im sure it feels cold etc to him but we put icepack in a pouch and pouch on his briefs. It feels cold he does sorta go ahhh jez thats cold but hes never sed nah thats hurting now cause if he did i wouldnt do it. Just desperate actions of an infertile couple im sure

Sorry.. gatecrashing the thread because my DH had a mild varicocele. It was causing him pain so he had a varicocele embolisation. DH had low motility and morphology, which I believe was caused by the varicocele heating up the sperm.

I did a lot of independent research after the fertility clinic told me it was just a coincidence that he had reduced fertility and that the varicocele did not contribute to this - this is despite the fact that the fact sheet given to us from another department said it can reduce fertility.

When researching it, I found that it takes a minimum of 3 months for sperm quality to improve following the procedure.

We started ttc in November 17, had embolisation in late August 18 and by the beginning of December 18 I had a BFP. Sadly it was a chemical but it was the first BFP in 13 months of trying.

Then 3 months later, was pregnant again. This one seems to have stuck fortunately. Please have a look into embolisation and see if it’s an option. I truly believe it turned things around for us
