March 2021 testing thread

@Kris402 that's always the way- you just see it everywhere once you actually want it for yourself!! I have a "still in carrier" aged baby however I think I may have chosen the heaviest carrier in the world. Her group 0+ seat could have done up until like over a year I believe but there was nooo way I was coping with that. I've already upgraded her to a fixed car seat as I was struggling so much with the thing!

@flowerbomb oh I really hope so! But then I think that means I've missed it since we dtd on sunday? Or does ewcm give a sign of things to come? Maybe I should just go upstairs and wake my husband up right now hahaha jkjk he'd kill me. tbh Ill just be happy to have a period and get a CD1

@Summertime I've never heard of that before either, very interesting to know! x

@LuckyLaura yeah don’t know how I manage to get mixed up! I blame the lack of sleep for the last 2 years lol!

OPK I’d buy a minimum of 50 can’t remember who asked that now :rotfl:

AF finally over I can start using OPK now :cheer:
I have been temping for 3 days now, Amelia off to nursery this morning so I’ll be able to sit down and have a proper read on how temping works as at the moment I’m just popping it in the chart with no real idea what it even means :-)

it was me, I actually ordered 30 I think in the end.

I was at a doctors appointment today for something unrelated (but which thankfully was all clear) and got told off that I was told on 19th November to get full blood work done and I still haven't - oops! I had actually clean forgotten. But I am definitely going to get it done now as I am prone to being anaemic and they want my iron levels checked. The tiredness is extreme enough with early pregnancy never mind low iron too so I want to get it sorted if theres an issue before we fully start to ttc.

How is everyone today?Xxx

That would be enough to see you through a month of testing though!

I am due a hba1c which I am putting off as I fear the worst as always. I have to really nag the surgery for it though and I just can’t be arsed ya know!

I really should contact them about how weird my cycles have been but putting that off too in the hope I can fix it myself x

I need to do mine too ‍♀️ Xx

That sounds insane to have 18 people in the queue? I get through basically immediately to mine. Actually it was harder to get through before covid, you used to just get an engaged tone and have to ring 36 odd times minimum to get through. Now they put more lines on, online appointments and actually answer their phones plus if it is busy theres a queuing function now so you can at least just wait like 5 mins till they answer.

I will have to ring tomorrow to book the bloods into the treatment room. the hba1c..what does it involve? my stepdad is type 2 diabetic but he doesn't talk about it ahha in fact the only time we bonded over something was when I had gestational diabetes and we were betes buds lmao x

You should have an annual hba1c because you had GD. It’s just a blood test that looks at the average levels over a period of time.

My surgery is the hub for the covid vaccines for surrounding areas so that is probably why. Going to try again today x

Hey girls

id like to join this month. Unsure of my testing date as this month we are starting ovulation induction. My cycle is usually 35 days and i ovulate around cd 20/21 however this month i am going to be taking letrzole on days 3/5 of my CD. And then going for scans to check the growth of my follicles. If grown to a good size i have a trigger injection to realise the follicle. so im thinking i should ovulate earlier. il be doing bbt temping as i did this month. And i am armed with one step and clear blue ovulation tests!

Fingers crossed for a positive month for us all.

Hi, I'm new here (well not really I joined nearly 7 years ago when I was pregnant with my daughter but that was a long time ago ). We thought we were done but have decided to try for one more. I've been lurking for a little while but this will be my first official month trying. Af is due on the 8th so I'll be testing then if it's not arrived. I'm on CD 11 today and started opks yesterday. I have no idea when I might ovulate because I've never used tests before when I've had my kids. Basically I have no idea what I'm doing but glad to be here!

Fingers crossed for us all

Hi Shan92, welcome to the thread :) how many kids do you have? we are ttc #3. xx

I have 2 who are 8 and 6, and I also have a 12 year old stepson. So it'll be my 3rd but our 4th collectively. Sounds like so many children  x
