*March 2019 Testing Thread*

Just a quick tip ladies... my friend has started her first cycle of IVF and has recently had her transfer. The only advice they’ve given her in the TWW is to avoid caffeine if possible (just stick to what you’d be allowed as safe during pregnancy) and avoid hot baths (these can start off MCs). Not sure if everyone is aware of these? I consciously don’t have baths in the TWW and I’ve cut down on caffeine so I only have 1 cup of tea a day now anyway x
The month I conceived I had also switched to decaf. I think there must be some truth to it!x

Maybe I should cut down on caffeine as when I conceived my daughter 6 years ago I wasn’t drinking coffee. Now I have at least 2 cups a day. So I am going to cut it down to one a day and hopefully it will help me sleep better too.

In both my pregnancies I have fell first month after taking vitamin b6. It’s probably a coincidence but It really helped regulate my cycles.
@Mrs_W - how many tablets of B6 did you take a day? I have just had a read up about it and it’s definitely very good for fertility. I think I may invest xx

6DPO today, haven't had any symptoms really. I've felt some piching in my uterus today and my boobs started feeling a little heavy but not sore at all so not sure what that is.
Char, could you change my testing day to the 11th maybe? I've just checked my calendar and I'll be 12DPO then. That's as long as I'll be able to hold out lol as I'm already getting impatient. (I know I'm not setting a good example here but I just can't help it haha it'll be an improvement from starting to test at 8-9 DPO though so I'm taking baby steps :rotfl:)

All changed for you my lovely <3
12DPO is a good day to hold out until if you like to test before AF is due. Baby steps is good and it’s a massive improvement and if you do feel like your going to cave at 8-9dpo just let me know, I’ll talk you out of it haha xx

Thanks hun xx I'll try and stay strong, Im sure all that squinting I did in the earlier cycles was bad for my eyes, they need a rest :rotfl:

Well. I’m going to put a shocker out there and say I got four BFPs this morning.

After thinking it was odd my overnight tampon was almost dry (been spotting over the weekend) I thought I would just do an ovulation test and if that was a blazer I’d do a cheap pregnancy test. Well blow me down it was positive, one FRER and a digital later and I don’t believe it.

Hoping this spotting is related to implantation and I’m not going to be back with bad news but for now I’m feeling super happy and excited.

I don’t want to go anywhere yet so I hope you girls don’t mind my hanging around.

@chattychar1990 please could you pop a BFP next to today’s date on the front page for me please? <3

Sending all of you baby dust! Xx

Dont be getting no ideas in your head and order a magnifying glass LOL! x

Strange one for me today ladies
TMI....
So I’m about 3-4 dpo. This morning I have had very very very thick yellow cm. I’ve never had this before, has anyone else? (I know this can often be related to a yeast infection etc but it’s not that)

April, don't want to get your hopes up but i have seen before that yellow cm can be a very early sign of pregnancy. I hope this is good news for you hun :dust: x

How much do you guys spend on TTC each month?

Nothing this cycle. I’ve kind of given up predicting ovulation I think.

yeah for me personally i am obviously going thru a No ovulation cycle , as im day 20 no + opk and just flashing smileys. I am going to buy one more lot of Clearblue / One Step OPKs as i just feel, December/January baby is best time .. ideally December! so i just feel like i have too...i think once two months are over with and nothings happened will have to seriously consider IF trying to predict ovulation is so of the essence.?
I mean this cycle im kinda glad have clearblue to see flashing smileys (8th one now tho) but not sure if thats even needed and if it helps anything to know that? Im the sort of person who can take a One Step positive as what it is, and i dont feel a need to see a 'peak' as i dont personally believe a peak on one step exists, a positive is a positive right? so.. yeh! just not sure what to do after the next 2 months.

I had run out of vitamins so i just topped them up. No more than £20. x

Its only £75 because i have clearblue, one step on list to buy, myo inositol, dh pills and conceive plus so a more expensive then normal month.

£80?! What are you buying lol. I don’t really spend anything much. £10 on vitamins but I’d be taking vitamins anyway regardless so I don’t really count that. I spent £35 last month on the clearblue ov tests but they lasted me 2 cycles so about £17 a cycle x

Char have a look at your conception vitamins, mine already contain 10mg of B6 x
Thanks Rainbow, but i am just taking folic acid with vit d and vit E.
I did buy seven seas but i have decided against them, only because looking back at my charts when i did take them i seem to have had longer cycles and my cycles are regular now so i don't want to mess them up again x

Funnily enough I never got on well with seven seas conception or pregnancy vitamins, I’ve always been much better off with pregnacare. But I understand now why you have a few different ones! X
