They didn't force it on me. I was happy to go along with it. I have GD and measurements on the scan showed a week ahead abf the AC measurement was at 40 weeks. So I'm guessing its all down the the diabetes. I just didn't expect them to do it yesterday

Twinkle are you saying they gave you a sweep without your explicit consent? if that's what's happened this is violation of your rights as a patient and an unauthorised procedure and I would be complaining immediately. I'm not joking - this sort of thing is really important and women started speaking out against this being way too common and it's a serious offence. But you need to be certain if that's what really happened?

Atlantis, I dont see the problem tbh. I was happy for them to do it. It wasn't forced. I didn't know it was planned for that day but it was discussed when I went into the appt. I dont want any negativity based around this please. Clearly they had their reasons. I have my reasons.

Ok sure I just read your comments earlier as if you weren't aware they did it until after the process. I'm glad you were happy that it took place. Some women aren't aware it's taking place and are in shock afterwards, just wanted to make sure you weren't in that position. No offence meant. All good.

Oh I knew what they were doing as they said beforehand at that appt. I just didn't know it was planned for yesterday. But i was happy enough for them to to it. I've had that consultant with my first and have seen her before in this pregnancy at a previous appt. Maybe i should've explained further. Xx

Just got out of the bath and dried off and have alot of jelly like discharge with blood mixed in. Is this the 'show'? Does it mean anything? X

It could be! but then again... sweeps can be a bit like that... and then it all fizzles out. You might have lost a bit of plug, but plugs can replenish themselves. I'd wait and see what happens over the next day!

Ooh twinkle could be, only time will tell maybe our first March baby!!

Now in bed but don't know if I'll get much sleep. Quite anxious about ecv tomorrow! And can't eat for hour before I go in or drink! I'm in at 1pm so very early lunch! Then monitored and on drip for an hour before procedure at 2pm, then bed rest for couple of hours before home. Going to be a long afternoon.... Xx

Loads more clear discharge. I even felt it come out lol. Lots of movement. But no aches or pains.

Definitely sounds possible things are moving along twinkle!

I feel like everything with me is a bit the wrong way round, with my little girl I was due the 18th and she only engaged that day and at 5am on the 19th I woke up with upset tummy cramping. Went to toilet and then felt like I still had more to come so lay on the sofa, 5.25am felt need to go again and that time there was mucus and blood and I thought hmm is this my bloody show and then 35 minutes later my waters went and I had the full on gush of it all coming out at once which I've since read isn't that common.

This time I'm sure baby is well engaged as I can barely waddle anymore and my bump has visibly dropped. Then yesterday evening I got some snot like discharge which I thought might be a bit of plug. I feel I'll go early but not this early but it's weird that my first experience seems to have been more like what you are told to expect with the second!

I have the most horrendous heartburn and sulphur smelling burps x

Sounds all good too rose! I've been losing bits of plug for a few weeks now whereas I lost it in a Oner last time the week before having dd1. It's crazy how different everything is this time

Nesting has totally set in for me! Glossed and decorated my whole hall yest like a wee whippet! Feeling it now tho. Hairdressers in the morning for a bit of me time and pampering before bubs

I took the codeine , it helped , I am off for a blood test today to see what sort of virus it is and a liver function test . I slept well last night so hoping the rest has helped fight it

I'm having no signs but I have 4 weeks to go to due date . I'm jealous of all that have because I'm really wanting my body back so I can get better

Hey ladies. I hope you are all doing well.

I'm a February mama, my due date is on the 27th, but my first sweep is booked in for March 1st so I may just roll over into next month, as I don't see any signs of impending labour!

After quickly scanning through comments, just thought I'd say that I had a show at 34 weeks, and was convinced that would mean I was going to have bubs early, but I'm 39 weeks tomorrow and don't feel like I'll be ready for a little while. So losing plug or some of your plug won't necessarily mean anything.

Anyway, just thought I'd drop by and say hello, as I feel it could be a March baba

Just keep losing more plug at 4am when I went to the loo. And again at 9am. Hope something happens soon x

Hope blood test gives you some answers Birdo!if I was you I would have taken the codine too, they wouldn't have prescribed it if not safe and sounds like you were rest suffering

Thanks bubbles yeah me too, I just love seeing pictures of newborn babies people post on here too. It is my first so I am so eager to meet the little one, but also trying to make the most of not being a mum for the last time in my life!

I've had a letter with an appointment for them to come? I never with my daughter and I'm suspicious lol x
