Ladies doing IVF or IUI - 2015 (9 BFPs!)

What did you trigger with? We did Gonasi and had 2 different packages with its own syringe in each with water already drawn up. To make it more comfortable the nurse said I only had to mix with the powders with the water from the one syringe and not use both syringes but cant see why I could not have just done 2 separate injections.

Blueflower I am gutted for you, we're a similar age so I know how time limited we are & I can't imagine the loss you are feeling. I am so sorry for you both to hear this news. Will you have a follow up with the clinic and can they indicate the chromosomonal issue. You had one large follicle this cycle could this still be fertilized naturally , can you take progesterone etc for these two weeks. Sending you a big hug xx

Thanks ladies, we have been offered a follow up appointment next week but I might leave it till the week after, I don't know if they can tell us what the issue was, I think they just count the chromosomes, maybe there was an odd number, the spindle was weak or mine and DH's chromosomes paired up unevenly?
Yes I might continue the progesterone just in case, will have to ask the nurse about the Clexane and the steroids.
I left work early and everyone was lovely. Am still going to take the planned sick leave I booked.

Spoke to my sister and she is wondering if its a genetic defect they can detect, she thinks they might be able to tell us but I'm not sure.

Blueflower they should be able to tell you what was wrong with each embryo when you go for your review, this would be quite important information if they all/majority had the same thing wrong or if it was a total mixture so you should def be pushing to find out.

Also, bear in mind the problem may not be with your eggs it could be sperm issue instead xxx

I agree, you should push to find out. A genetic defect is a possibility I suppose, on either side. Would they have picked anything up without the screening? I know you have had transfers before. X
