How many days post EC are you Niknak? It might not be AF, lots of ladies get small bleeds. You have such a perfect embryo I was sure you would get a BFP. You could still have time. xxx
Great news MariaIsabella! Day 5 transfer will mean you get the strongest ones.
I think it depends. I usually have 3/4 of them still by day 3 but then only 2 or 3 left by day 5 but other ladies have had more. You will have at least one otherwise they wouldn't wait. One lady on here had a day 4 transfer as they started to drop off by then. Its lovely to be able to take your embryo /embryos home and look after them!
Had my day 4 scan today in preparation for the hopeful transfer, she found 2 follicles but said they were probably empty and left over from the ivf. Dr then worried me saying options were: blood test and see, change to medicated cycle or postpone!! Went for the blood test!
Yes if they are cysts producing oestrogen the cycle will have to be postponed as follicles should only be small on day 4. Not had a call, will call tomorrow, they will probably say they tried, they always do that, pants on fire.
Hoping for good news today Blueflower.
Fingers crossed for no cysts.
How are things today NikNak? Praying you've had no more spotting.
I'm feeling really full and bloated today.
Have another scan, am kinda hoping there's been some growth or more follicles are growing as that would explain how I'm feeling xx
Morning ladies. Thanks so much for the messages. I'm now 11dp5dt and still intermittent spotting. Mostly pink and brown but red is also appearing and a further negative this morning. I'm certain it's my period trying to break through and do think it will arrive once I speak to clinic tomorrow and stop the pessaries. What an emotional journey this is xx
Sadly I have to go private. My husband has an 11 year old child from previous relationship so that doesn't allow us any help. Truly sucks. I'm all for the nhs but sometimes just think they are cruel. I work dam hard full time as does husband and his daughter doesn't live with us. rant over
For us, well....we are now going to enjoy the build up to xmas as I love it and try again in new year. This round including freezing cost near on £7000.! Crippled us! Luckily we have 4 in the freezer xx
I am truly sorry Niknak. Everything seemed to be going so well . Life is definitely not fair but the only way to survive is to try to move forward ( once you give yourself time to grief ) and try to think positively. Seems like you are handling this very well.
Try to enjoy time with your DH and Christmas and you will be strong after. You have a couple of very strong embryos in the freezer which will make the process much easier next time!! xxx
No I am freaking out a little. Called the clinic and they said they normally don't check them day 4. She had still had a quick look and she said " they seem to all move forward and progress". I asked if they looked good and she said they look "ok". I asked if that meant average and she said she cant give me an answer.. What does this mean? Why did she not say they look good?
So sorry to hear this Niknak it's such an emotional roller-coaster and an expensive one at that! I think it's disgusting that anyone has to pay for fertility treatment!!
Mariaisabella - my clinic don't check on them at day for as something happens which stops them from having a clear view of development or something.
I am still waiting for af to arrive so I can start frozen transfer cycle cd 41 today!
Yes on day four they are going through the morula phase (I think that's what its called) so they don't do day 4 transfers for this reason as far as I know. Try to stay as relaxed as you can, they wouldn't have gone to day 5 if they felt the embryos weren't doing well.
So sorry Niknak, it is cruel. We can't get any treatment on the NHS either as I have a son, it doesn't seem fair to my OH as he doesn't have a biological child. I think they need to reassess that criteria xx
