Have a blood test this Thursday, what is it for and what should the result be?

Feeling good today, had the worst headache yesterday but much better today. Only managed to mess up a little this morning. When I snapped the bottle half the liquid was left in the top bit ( forgot to flick the bottle ) so had to draw up the solvent from the bottle and then after from the top bit of the solvent bottle. Hope ok since I assume the important part is to get the solvent mixed with the powder..

Yes I agree 9good quality eggs is perfect!
Your blood test will be to test your estradiol levels to see how the stims is working, have you got a scan as well? They usually count the follicles, measure any that are over a certain size and the blood test indicates that they contain eggs.
I did my own injection last night, very proud as I have a needle phobia!

No, at NHS they do blood test on day 5. If they are concerned they take me in for a scan the day after ( assume if I respond too well ), otherwise scan next week Monday I think it was.

What level of estradiol is normal if I ask for my result after?

When can I expect to feel any side effects? Feel nothing yet.

It's in the hundreds, I can't remember! Best to ask the nurse unless anyone here knows? If its too high you will just be told to decrease your dose. If it remains high you might feel a bit ill and need to be aware of OHSS where you might have trouble urinating and things.
You might start to feel bloated, I did last time especially when on steroids too! This time I just feel as if my ovaries are full of marbles! Felt like that after about 10 days of stims, makes sense if you have several follicles full of fluid measuring more than 10mm each! My ovaries take up so much space its sometimes hard to eat a full meal!

I am super dosing on coq10 and take 600mg a day. This is what I read is needed for fertility reasons. I don't know if it makes a difference to my eggs but my nails and skin are always better when I take them regularly.

Testing day after ivf is worse! Hope it all goes well, its not as bad as you fear and is over really quickly. Fingers crossed for some lovely eggs! x

Hey, I'm just back home. That was so surreal being sedated. Completely knocked out! 12 eggs collected which is great as wasn't expecting that many. No wonder I was feeling things with every movement. Did my usual of throwing up when I was coming round and blood pressure dropped but Nice to be home. Still feeling very spaced out and tender so back to bed I go! Xx
