Had my scan today and lining is still a little think ( just over 5 mm ) which means 5 more days on Down reg!!! I was so ready to start stims today..

Just to add, is it normal to have a lining this thick 10 days into Buserelin? Had a period as well. Feeling a little down

Yes sometimes you need to be on it for longer. It will be ok next scan as it just has to be under 5mm.

Did 1st injection last night, well l prepared it and DH did it! Not done it since Feb, forgot how long the needles are! Now for some top quality eggs please!

What do you ladies tell work? I am wondering whether to just be honest or to say it is to do with my PCOS. Work are flexible but I don't want to seem like I am taking the piss (having just been on a three and a half week holiday...) and my manager is male without children himself... X

We are round two of stimulated Iui 4 days into tww, would love for this to work.

Lots of success recently amongst the ltttc group fingers crossed for the rest of us, hopefully we can be a lucky group for a while!!!

Thanks for that kkheartsbaby. There have indeed been quite a few LTTTC success stories of late!

My appointment went well yesterday. Apparently we were originally going to have the long protocol (correct terminology?) but she looked at my notes, saw I have PCOS and am on metformin and thought it was better to do the short one. She confirmed this with the consultant who agreed with her and explained why it was more appropriate for us.

I am going to have embryo screening and the thing to make it easier to implant. This means we will be having IVF on the next but one cycle. I am feeling optimistic. X

phonixgirl, good you feel positive.. very important I believe. I am new to this as well and doing the long protocol so can't really comment on your protocol but sounds like they have it under control

Have a question regarding down reg and buserelin. I will hopefully start Stimming on Wednesday and it says I will start FSH injections as well as Buserelin ( Down Reg injections ). Will I continue with Buserelin until the end?? Little confused

Mariaisabella I remember they said to us not to stop the buserelin until they said so... Ring your clinic and check as I think it's important u get it right because I remember them emphasising that to us when we started. Sorry I can't remember precisely but would not want to tell you wrong xx good luck!

Yes the buserelin will continue to the end but on a lower dosage. You will be informed of the dose when they tell you to start stimming x

Just realized i have done a stupid mistake!! Opened the first bottle of buserelin the 22nd. A couple of days after i had to travel and accidently took another bottle of buserelin which i had to open as well when travelling. Read today buserelin has to be used within 15 days of open... Only have about 2-3 days until 15 days on first bottle but will be some left and this will probably be the case with the second if i dont go over the 15...

Have one last bottle left but not sure this will last! Is 15 days really strikt?

Is that Embryo glue Phoenixgirl? Wish we could get that! That's unusual to have embryo screening on your first go.
I used a bottle of Synarel after its use by date and it was fine. Maybe ask the clinic, you might have to by another one if they say its not ok though!

No, not embryo glue. Endometrial scratch! We have to pay for both but only get one go at IVF here so are putting everything into it. Xxx

Thanks, spoke to nurse and all fine. They will just order another if needed.

Had my first acupuncture today and it hurt! Before we started she said its nothing compared to the IVF injections but the opposite for me. Have no issues injecting myself and hardly feel it but the acupuncture actually stings a little.

Anyhow, will continue during the process in case it helps

I'm going for reflexology and hypnotherapy this time as the acupuncture was uncomfortable and the best bit was just relaxing chatting to the therapist.

I am annoyed. Local clinic have cancelled 2 scan and blood test appointments as their 'own patients' need them! So I have to go all the way up to London just for a one hour appointment!

Feel a bit sick and headachy today, must be the drugs. Start the steroids tomorrow too.
