Ladies doing IVF or IUI - 2015 (9 BFPs!)

Its daunting seeing them all in the box isn't it!
Could you order them when your DH isn't around Dee and then tell him afterwards? He knows you need them and has agreed to the ivf.

I'm going to order them next Friday, it's my day off so I can go and do it and I'd have had the scratch by then so there's no backing out! Xx

hi ladies. Not updated in a while - we have been accepted to start our first ivf cycle this month. I think we are on the long protocol. In two weeks time when I am on day 21 of my cycle iv to go in for a prostap injection and things will really take off from. Feeling quite posatire so far. My only worry is my hospital I work in closes in a cpl of weeks right at the start of treatment and I'm worried my new boss will be awkward at my request for annual leave during 2ww and days off for appointments xx

That's good! Not heard of that injection, do they do that one for you? The daily injections are a bit of a pain! Most employers are required to support and promote 'the family' with regard to employees but you probably don't want to say what the leave is for do you?

I think they do that one for me she basically said it would shut down my body n put me into menopause so I'll have that one shot plus nasal sprays as part of my down reg and then start stiming as able. With my current boss iv been very open about ivf and he has been very supportive. It helps that he and his wife went through it. Unfortunately now I'm going to a new hospital, new ward and new boss I'm a little apprehensive about sharing this. I'm worried about being discriminated. It doesn't help that Iv heard my new boss is someone who was moved out of a ward she was in before as she was bullying ppl :-S xx

Hi ladies

I am going for egg collection on Friday and I was told to take my buserelin before 6pm tonight and my hcg injection at 11.30pm tonight, I forgot! And did not do it until 6.25pm... Should I do my hcg injection slightly later instead? Anyone know if it matters that much or why the buserelin injection has to be given earlier the night of the hcg ?

Thanks

Lou

Its more important to do the hcg one on time as its timed to egg collection. The Buserelin and stims are ok to do within an hour of your usual time. Don't panic! I'm not sure why you have to take the Buserelin earlier than usual with the trigger though.

Hope Friday goes well! :)

Good luck! What time is it? Hope its not as bad as you feared. X

Good luck with starting the IVF process Nicky, I haven't heard of that injection either, I had to inject daily for down regulation.
Lou, I wouldn't worry, it was only a little bit late and like blueflower says, the trigger is more important with timing.
Good luck with the scratch Dee, hope its not painful for you xx

I'm back, it was totally fine, not painful at all, the nurse was very impressed, I felt quite proud of myself! Feel a bit crampy/bubbly now but not even as bad as period pains. Step one done! Step two ordering the drugs tomorrow!

Good luck tomorrow Lou! Xx

That's great Dee, have you decided where you are getting the drugs from? it drove me mad trying to find the cheapest xx

I was expecting it to feel very different, good start. I'm going to use asda, defo cheapest and easy to get to so going to stick with them. Mine only cost about £550 to start with so not too bad, doesn't include the trigger as not sure which I'll have xx

That's is good, Oh I wish ours had been that cheap. The trigger isn't that expensive from what I remember xx

No I think the ovitrelle is about £80 from iui memory xx

Dee are you doing a DIY IVF? Glad scratch went ok, I had to have a GA for mine apparently I have odd anatomy!!

Feeling a bit nervous about tomorrow, very bloated tonight! Are u sleeping during it?

When do I start the pessaries?

Lou xx
