Sorry I meant Merional not Menopur. I was on Menopur the first time, you just mix the liquid with the powder and it lasts for 3 injections. The Merional is more tricky, you have to mix one liquid with one powder, then draw that all back into the syringe and mix it with the 2nd powder to get the right dose and you have to do that every time. My Gonal F comes in a pen! They must all be different! I know what you mean, once you’re ready you want to get the ball rolling. I find it does interfere with going out and things though.
I’ve got a bit of a dilemma. The nurse called yesterday to move all my appointments forward because the Dr who does the Endometrial Scratch has booked leave! I could have moved them to a week later but didn’t want to delay things. The problem is that I’ll have to do my first injection when DH is away. I have a bit of a needle phobia but overcame it to a certain extent when we had to do injections, but I’m not sure if I can actually inject myself. I’ve asked the GP if we can pay a nurse to come and do it but they don’t provide that service, nor does the the company who delivers the drugs and is sending a nurse to do my infusion, or the Fertility clinic. I’ve asked my friend to do the injection, she says she’d do it if I can’t find anyone else but isn’t keen. I’m considering trying to do it myself but don’t know if I can.
