Ladies doing IUI or IVF - 2016 (11 BFPs so far!)

Also curious about what meds need injecting?
The only thing I was given for injecting on the fet (that didn't happen) was extra progesterone.

Glad to be in October! Next month I can call our clinic and hopefully get this fet planned and sorted for Jan.
I never told them about the miscarriage yet. :(

May good luck!! It's possibly too early but you never know! Fingers crossed for you xx

hi everyone

Hope you're all okay?

@ lillith112 hope your delivery arrives.

small update from me. I had a follow up with the consultant for FET. My embryo grades were
2 5BB
1 4AC
2 4BB

So not all 5BB as i initially thought. As soon as my next period shows up I'll start all those horrible injections again in prep for my transfer.

In the meantime I've been eating like a pig so I'm really trying to loose a stone before my transfer so i'm in the healthy weight range.

Hi MrsBass :)

Just out of interest, what meds will you be injecting? I’ve never had injected meds with my FET...
Hope you don’t mind me being nosey xx

Hi @Hoody81 no worries. we're all here to share :)

so far, all in know is that i'lll be injecting suprecur , 0.5ml daily at day 21 of my cycle. I'm then expected to have a period 7-10 days after i start the injections.
I think because I have polycystic ovaries, I'm being put on suprecur. I also used 0.5ml suprecur as my trigger when i was stimming for egg retrieval

Millie my parcel still hasn't been updated since Heathrow, I'm getting worried now, it says its in Greece post system but nothing to actually confirm exactly where. It's been like this for 4 days, I'm worried the sample will go off .

Bless you, thankyou. Mrsbass, all the best for you transfer xx

You won't be able to track it with Royal Mail any further, somewhere on the Royal Mail tracking page there should link to take you to the Athens mail tracking page. Have you been tracking it through that? xx

Does anyone mind me joining? We were ttc my daughter nearly 3 years we had 2xiui with injectibles but this was mostly as I didn't ovulate every month but Clomid gave me visual problems so they said they would do the iui to give a higher chance and that's what the nhs funding gave for injectibles. I was on metformin , progesterone and prednisolone from ttw onwards as had had several miscarriages. I used soya isoflavones and had success but they would never stick :(

We have pretty much been ntnp since my daughter was born 8 months ago and my cycles have now gone from around 17 days (without soy) to between 27-33 days so massive improvement. We went to the clinic last week as I wanted metformin again and maybe injectibles if I wasn't ovulating and we got a bit of a shock as they looked at hubby sperm sample and said motility wasn't normal and he wouldn't even do iui with that and if the repeat in a few weeks is as bad he recommends ivf :(. Thought we would just need metformin and progesterone and it would be ok. Feeling really overwhelmed about ivf...i found iui hard enough!
I just don't want to seem selfish joining this thread when I already have a child who is young so let me know if it isn't ok to join! xxx

No I didn't know there was a link to Athens mail tracking. I will have to see if I can find it tomorrow. Katie said the sample will be ok for 4 weeks. !, surely it will of gone off and be growing loads of bacteria by then ? , I guess they're the experts though. x

Did you find the Athens tracking page?

I'm waiting for results now I guess? Not sure how long it takes. I noticed the money was gone from my bank Monday and they emailed me to say thank you for payment on Saturday. Haven't heard anything else yet. Really hoping today they will email me results! xx

Ladies, don't worry about the sample taking a bit of time to get there - they know what they're doing and if they say it's fine up to 4 weeks then it will be. Mine went from Hong Kong remember, took nearly two weeks to get to them and then when I went there for a hysto what they found backed up the infection results.

I'm pretty sure they don't take the money til it's arrived and then the results just take a few days. They do email the results.

Welcome MillieLaura, don't feel bad because you already have a baby - so do some others on here, you're still a long-term ttc'er, sadly. There are lots of things your husband can do to improve motility other than the usual no smoking, drinking etc. I've seen a lot of woman on here say sperm has been massively improved with wellman conception tablets (I think those are the ones) but also a bit of research when I was worried about my partners sperm (turned out his is near perfect despite his rubbish lifestyle!) showed that one of the best supplements for men to take is proxeed for men - not cheap but supposed to be excellent. Good luck and keep us posted.

Mine is there Syd, it got there Friday and I arranged payment that day, it just took its time for the payment to go through because it's an international payment. I'm sure they'll email them soon just feeling a bit impatient.

How are you doing? xx

Aaaggh, just wrote a long reply and my computer crashed!

xMillie, I was constantly checking my email waiting for results :)

Had to have some medical intervention as although the sac seemed to have passed there was still too much lining. They gave me painkillers and it wasn't too bad at all.

Blueflower, sorry, only just seen your post. I can't cycle now til January which is really frustrating. In theory I could sooner because I just need to wait for next AF then start medication the following cycle and then treatment the cycle after that. However, my partner's ex has just moved with their daughter back to Europe and we need to be able to fly to see her in the summer holidays so I can't afford to be heavily pregnant. As it's donor eggs, waiting another couple of months won't hurt and seeing her is very important. I just really want to get going and wish I didn't have to wait. Will be Jan/Feb now.

I'm checking constantly!!!
And if there is something that needs treating I'm wanting to get it dealt with before next cycle! :D

Oh no, sorry to hear you needed to go through that :( xx

Hi girls

Finally after 6days of transfer tomorrow will be my blood test!!! So far my symptoms are not too obvious!! Currently is lower abs some pulling and sore breast.... Don't know if these symptoms were real??? I hope some good news tomorrow!!! Anyone here has little symptoms and ended up BFP??

May, before my natural bfp the only symptoms I had was af like cramps, had them for almost a week wondering when af was gonna show!! It could be a good sign but I noticed I had a lot of symptoms after transfers because of the extra progesterone they give you! Fingers crossed for good news xx

Xmillie
Yes that's why I refuse to acknowledge the symptoms I am noticing these few days... I am afraid that the progesterone are the ones that giving all the symptoms.... I am getting daily progesterone jabs it's so scary!!! Tomorrow it's like doom's day I don't really have good feelings about the results tbh!!! I cried a lot these two days and so emotionally about everything!!! Finger crossed!!!!

Yes it's hard to know what's real and what's not, I hated the progesterone injections they always left me so sore. I hope this is it for you though xx

I'm a few days into my 2ww *I think* (even though I'm trying not to track.. and not sure I ovulated). My boobs are already killing me and been quite crampy too. Trying my best to ignore but ugh these symptoms are strong and it's making it impossible to forget about ttc. :(

I have a repeat blood test to check for ovulation next week so I guess I'll find out if I even ovulated then..
It's been a weird cycle.
