July 2017 mummies to be.

£760 on slings!! Blimey! You really do have an addiction lol xx

I'm still going to be using my perfect prep, I've also starting buying the sterile pre made cartons for when we are out and about as they have a long expiry so can start to stocking up now which will spread the cost out a bit - anything to make it a little bit easier for me at first!

X

Omg seriously addicted to slings woman!! But then again some are very pricey. I've had a fantastic weekend a friend from back home has stayed over for a few nights with her baby and it's been wonderful! We've had a huge heart to heart and her baby is just brilliant 4 and half months and sleeps through!! He's also super adorable and happy smiley so content but best of all my son and hers have gotten on so well I'm so proud of my squish he's been so good played nicely and cuddled him gently Im sad they go today :( and my hubby goes away on a training course for 2 weeks tonight so boo! But all in all a great weekend how've you guys been? Xxx

I've got a Woolly long one
A cotton long one
A beautiful handwoven Scottish shorty (I think I'll keep this one forever)
A structured carrier for Liam to use

And I really want one with little woven hearts seen into it....

We'll see ;-)

Wow that's so many!! Haha but at least you've got variety to change around a bit xxx

I love them...

N I'm not ashamed :P

I don't buy new baby clothes or anything like that but I love my slings!!

They all have slightly different functions;

Wool is for extreme cold or hot
Cotton for everyday use (especially when baby is sickly as washes well)
Shortie is for quickies, like out the car school run style
Structured is for rainy days and Liam

Hearts is just pretty :P

I think I'm going to go for bum genius flip nappies....

Anyone else doing reusables?

Ha I bought a baby carrier that was in the Black Friday sales and had decent reviews. Just hoping it's suitable!!

I'm building up my Nappy stash. I have some custom ones, Bum genius and a few tots bots. Kept most of the ones i had with Riley so dont need to buy loads but tgey are so adsictive.

I did lots of testing with the boys but I found flips the very best...

I thought about using V5's but TBH the inability to wash the covers and nappy separately puts me off. I want to be able to tumble the I need most of the time

I only have the tots bots one for the designs on them they will mostly be used in the first few months then will be bum genuis ones.
I love hanging them on the line on a sunny day.
Just need to stock up on liners and a new bucket.

We had little blooms and fuzzi buns but sadly my very heavy wetter just leaked through them so we've stuck to disposables I am hoping to buy a large kit of wonder woos because they have been good when I borrowed a friends xxx

I'm sticking to desposables! I don't think I could handle having to worry about cleaning and sorting those as well as everything else!

I pulled a muscle in my back yesterday so I've been in agony since! I need to start taking it easy and not think I can still do everything!!

How is everyone else? xx

I find disposables far more of a faff and my bin allowance won't really do!

I am going to use some natural disposables for the first few weeks as the flips only comfortably fit from around 3 months :-)

Yeah I think the amount of bin waste is one of the issues, I can't see them being more of a faff though.. if this wasn't my first baby and I was more confident about it all id probably consider using them.

I hadn't actually considered the tumble dryer part but like that they're all in one as when Jakob was in the 2 partners (lots of wee notions) they were so bulky!!

Lidl have a baby event on, probably only until Thurs. 100% organic cotton sleep/body suits, tops, trousers, socks, leggings, cardies. Tommie tippee bottles etc. Well worth it as I was looking at organic cotton clothing on Mori and £26.99 for one sleep suit!!! Lidl, £4.99 and they're really lovely.

That's why I like flips, they're so slim fitting (more so than some 'sposies) you can buy disposable inserts for them, which means they work at festivals (can easily wring out a wrap under a tap somewhere) and the liners and outers can be washed separate, essential in this country in winter ;-)

I'm not too fussed about how the covers look. Realistically they are under clothes 99% of the time anyway

The only items I want to physically buy are some dungarees from Toby Tiger.

The rest are hand me downs :-)

We've got loads left from my first but I am buying new sleep suits for newborn up to one months and 0-3 as I gave it to friends or family not Thinking I'd ever have another baby duh me. We used mam bottles after breastfeeding as he wouldn't take tomeetippee at all in fact he'd make himself sick on them but today the last piece of nursery furniture arrives so I'm excited to get it all built and set up! Xxx
