**January 2018 Mummies, New year Babies**

Hey Ladies, thank you so much for the messages
Ive just been for my appointment to book in my D&C, The doctor was amazing and is going to send off the tissue for testing and took loads of bloods, She said in 6 weeks time ill have the results back.
She also said that once I fall pregnant again they will scan me every week from 6 weeks to reassure me, and put me under a consultant from day one to test me bloods and hormone levels to try and make sure I have a healthy pregnancy.
I kind of broke down in front of her and told her I knew id lost it when I did but no-one listened to me, Including two doctors at the hospital, which really pissed her off!
She said they need to listen to us more often as we know when something isn't right.
So... yeah, I'm feeling a bit more positive today. I can finally see a end to the waiting around and I'm really happy that I'm being listened to.
Hopefully in the next two weeks I would have stopped bleeding and I can start to enjoy the summer.

Scan was just fantastic - woman sonographer was just brilliant, took her time looking over baby and taking measurements. Explained every part of baby to us on the screen.

Date wise, I've gained 2 days so now 12 weeks exactly today - due date of 10th January.

Will attempt to attach the scan photo!

Great scan pic Alipops! Scan day for me today and I'm feeling pretty terrified �� not felt sick or nausea for a few days but I know that may be just me being over the worst but can't help but worry. Fingers crossed!

I'm so sorry darling, sometimes us expectant mothers are so frustrated because medical staff sometimes don't seem to understand our urgency because we're not seriously ill or dying.

You're going to be absolutely fine and I think you have the perfect attitude - I really admire that

Lol yes still gassy feel like I've been hit by a truck tmi warning .... but I'm alternating between constipation and diarrhea lol boobs still tender, another headache to deal with today as I couldn't sleep last night, booked my scan for Monday so think I'll be 11+5 which is fine

Fantastic news about the scan Karen - i'm pleased it went well.

I got a phone call yesterday from the Maternity Hospital, saying that they've lost my blood sample from Wednesday and could I go in last night for another blood sample as it needs to be done as close as possible to the scan. So, I got there for 6pm. Didn't got home until 8:30pm. They were very busy, and my veins are useless - they never show themselves, so they have to just stab me in the arm. After 4 attempts, they finally struck blood but my arm is a right mess and all bruised where they eventually got the blood. Hopefully they won't lose this sample!

We've booked our Gender Scan, privately for 28th July when i'll be 16 wks and roughly 2 days. I can't get over how much this baby's scan looks nothing like Zachary's first scan but trying not to get carried away that the baby might be a little girl! We're not telling our family about the gender scan, as we went to do a gender reveal afterwards - if they know we're going on that day we'll get 4829482 phone calls asking. It makes me feel quite emotional that baby might be a girl - the first on my in laws side and second grand-daughter in 13 years on my side but like I say, i'm trying to not get carried away, honest!!

As difficult as it is, i'm going to try hard to resist purchasing anything for baby until we know the gender. Last time as we pretended not to know Zachary was a boy we bought heaps of gender neutral clothes for the first few weeks - this time i'd like to go all out and not get gender neutral clothes first.

I'm feeling quite well today, compared to normal the last few weeks. As yet no nausea, although it's still early, we're going out with my parents for lunch as they've been on holiday for two weeks. Looking forward to sharing scan pics with them and catching up.
