**January 2018 Mummies, New year Babies**

Carly, it definitely sounds like stretching pains. Hope it helps to speak to your midwife about it, so you can get some reassurance. It's super easier said than done, but try not to worry too much. Hope you're as OK as possible.

Alipops, glad the booking in appointment went well! I have mine on Thursday, when I should be roughly 8 weeks. Glad it will be consultant led if that's what you were wanting, so you can talk to them about everything you need to.

EmmaLuna, sorry you're getting stressed and upset quickly. I've been the same over some really random and silly things. It's definitely the hormones! Guess we are all different with regards to what helps us calm down. I personally like to try watch one of my favourite films or an episode of a TV series or something. Just to try and distract me from whatever is causing me to stress out. Try not to worry too much about getting stressed, if that makes sense! Hormones are all over the place so it's common to feel upset and stressed etc.

Thank you love. I find myself getting upset and grumpy over really silly things. Thank you for the advice.
Watching a film sounds like a good idea.

Thanks all you lovelies, you've helped put my mind at ease

Oh getting the little dark line from my belly button down now lol just noticed it in the bath today woohoo wish I could kick the nausea and lethargy I have ATM

Afternoon Ladies,

I hope everyone is feeling well and not worrying too much - easier said than done I know!

I'm still knackered, I've NEVER slept so much ever. Can't keep awake past 8:30pm at the moment. Nausea is still on and off, but I don't' think it's as bad as it was last week.

Booking in appointment went well on Friday. Midwife couldn't get any blood out of me, so I ended up having to go to the Blood Clinic at the hospital - they did it first go. Just waiting for 12 week scan date/time to come through the post now! I'm apparently consultant led because of my high BMI, Midwife was surprised as I don't "look" that big but I am short. I'm quite pleased i'm consultant led to be honest as I had retained products with Zac so at least this can be discussed with them too.

Alipops x

Do you mind me asking what your BMI is? Im JUST under the high BMI, But I'm so close to it. I didn't know if it was different in different counties!
Im desperately trying to loose a couple of pounds safely, as I really want a water birth!
pretty sure If I just cut out Kfc ill drop a few easily lol

I think the midwife said my BMI was 36, I don't even know what means as I have zero faith in BMI anyway. I'm only 5ft3 so I reckon if I was taller it wouldn't be an issue obviously.

I'm going to try to eat healthily but at the moment, I'm feeling that sick that eating anything will do. Once this stage passes I'll try to be more careful!

Does anyone have any tips for staying calm when stressed. I can feel myself getting stressed and upset quickly (hormones probably don't help) and I know it's not good for the baby.

Leaving love to everyone.

I'm afraid I have no suggestions EmmaLuna - I was literally 5 second off exploding at my normally lovely husband earlier over the fact he felt ill, completely OTT potential reaction but I just got myself completely fired up as I felt really shite with nausea.

Lula I had sore boobs, they're still abit heavy feeling. Fatigue, nausea - it still comes in waves. So I shouldn't worry really.

Ali, glad the appointment went well- except the bloods! I'm consultant led too because of various reasons. I also had placenta abruption with my last baby. Scary.

Fela, we have the same due date so far! We have a scan at 8weeks and can't wait.

Emma Luna, try and have a bath and just relax with a film. Try not to worry, if you have no warning signs that anything is wrong then I'm sure everything is fine.

Yay thank you , very excited for booking app tomorrow!! :)

My names Natalie, if anyone will remember! Thought it's better than sugar haha xx

EmmaLuna I cried today because my husband suggested I stop leaving pens lying around the house for our two year old to go mad with haha!! Anyone else looking 5 months pregnant after a meal??? The bloat is huge!

Today has been a bit of a whirlwind, I found myself referred to epu this morning with suspected ectopic pregnancy! They were going to take bloods over the next week to see the hcg trend but they came back today at 36851 so decided to scan me tomorrow instead! EPU don't think my symptoms sound ectopic but it's reassuring they are taking things seriously.
Fingers crossed!!

Karen the bloat is huge isn't it! I'm ordering some maternity stuff! Just wearing leggings and loose fit trousers for now! Megs hope everything is ok xx

Hi guys. I've had a terrible few days as I discovered that my husband has been cheating on me. I'll spare the details but I am a total mess so I can't help alleviate anyone's stresses!

I have my booking in app tomorrow afternoon and I hope she refers me for another scan as I fear my pregnancy has been compromised. I also urgently need therapy as the details of what he has done are worthy of an episode or Coronation Street!!

I feel sick at the thought of raising a toddler and new born on my own x

Wow what a time to find out I'm so sorry, but why would your pregnancy be compromised?

I haven't eaten anything but small scraps to get by since Thursday and have lost over half a stone. I can't sleep and I struggle to stop crying. I'm so stressed out and my only pregnancy symptom - peeing in the night, has gone so I feel the need for a check up to settle my mind that literally life goes on! X

Belfa I am so sorry to hear that, I can't even imagine what you are going through. I hope that everything is ok with baby, you would be amazed what they can withstand, I couldn't eat or drink really for around 6 weeks with my 2nd.

Be kind to yourself. Hugs xx

Belfa - so sorry!! What a jerk. Stay strong, you have some tough times ahead but your children will get you through it. I'm sure baby has taken whatever he/she needs from you, and it will just be you left feeling rotten, but a scan for reassurance will be great. Let us know how you get on, keep talking , try not to go through this alone , it will eat you up. Good luck today. Xxxxxx

Well I've hardly slept as my OH was snoring all night and now my LO is awake at 6. Woke up with a really sore throat :( it's half term so hoping someone will come and sit with the kids so I can go to my booking appt alone! :) :)

Morning,

Sorry to hear your news Belfa - please be kind to yourself and lean on any family & friends for support. Only you know what's best for you and your children going forward.

Unfortunately my other half has some sort of stomach bug so I wil be going tonget him some Imodium soon! Hope we don't all get it

Despite 10 hrs sleep I'm still finding it a struggle to look after Zac without OH as I feel so tired and nauseous.
