We're those folk who find out the gender! I do get tempted not to with this one but as this pregnancy seems to be very like my first i.e no symptoms, knowing what I was having really helped it to sink in that I was pregnant. Plus, this time round the sex of the baby will dictate what we are doing room wise with my DS.

I'm happy for them to do whatever tests they have to, I don't see them as tests which can change the course of action for a pregnancy unnecessarily but as a way to prepare yourself and the birthing suite for what's to come x

I'm the same they can test for whatever they want only test I'll refuse is an amniocentesis not even remotely interested in having that one. I want to know the sex definitely but not sure if we will keep it a secret or not lol

Were keeping it secret too, I've never really wanted to know what were having, My Mum was the same so I guess thats just the norm for me.

Is anyone else goign to ask not to be tested for downs?
We want the edwards and patau tests done, But were going to ask for them not to test for downs x

Hey Lulla,

So I noticed it once when I woke up yesterday morning and went to the loo when I wiped. I haven't noticed it anymore throughout the day yesterday and have not noticed any today so far so it seems like it has gone away.

I was never really convinced from the get go that it was anything to worry about since it wasn't blood and I wasn't in any pain, I think it was just a bit of a shock seeing that when I wiped because I feel like immediately the first thing that runs through your mind is that it is something bad. But I kept calming myself down by telling myself that as long as it's not red blood and I'm not in pain, we're safe.

But as I say, had no more discharge since so hopefully that's the end of it now. Might of been down to dtd that OH and I did the night before I first got it, or might just generally be my body reacting to changes of hormones which can affect the cervix etc.

Have the scan on Saturday at 12pm so not too long now. OH and I are excited to see our little blob on the screen and hopefully to hear and see the heartbeat xx

Me too, it's the pits 😢 I had HG last time so I'm going to the docs to get the anti sickness drugs that helped last time as I can't be in the state I was in last time. Hope you don't suffer too badly X

I hadn't heard of this HG until recently, sounds awful! Hope you don't suffer x

Scan went well, saw a little heartbeat and baby is measuring 7wks.

Has anyone had their hcg tested? Mine was done today via blood test (had some cramping last night so they wanted to check) and it's come back at 5w4d at 18,639!!!

Now they want to do a scan tomorrow to see if there's a reason why it's so high!! My dates are correct as I was temping and using OPK's (cheapies and CB digi that both gave positive on the same day).

Just wondering if anyone else has had theirs tested as a comparison?
