*** January 2017 Mummies ***

I am 6+2 (I think) and considering an early scan as I'm so impatient. Did anyone else go around this time, and did you actually see anything? It would make my anxiety so much worse if they can't see anything yet because it's too early.

I had an early scan at 6+2 and we saw more than I thought we would X

Tri hopping here! Just want to wish you all well, I was a January mummy back in 2011!!! It is a lovely time to have a baby, once christmas is out the way its BABY TIME!

Good luck everyone! xx

Hi ladies! Welcome to the new mommies :) I'll get the front page updated soon. Sorry I've been quiet, still busy following a house move and chasing a toddler around. Have told a lot more people this time around, last time it was just my mom and 3 best friends until the 12w scan. This time it's all our parents, mine and hubbies best mates, my work colleagues (as I do heavy lifting so might need help!) and some of the people I've met at college. Seems mad but the 12w scan won't be too far off hopefully.

Seeing some of you talk about housing, it might help you to know that until 2 weeks ago we lived in a one bedroom flat with no garden etc. Our son is just about to turn 2. We never imagined we'd last as long as we did but it was ok, not ideal but not unbearable!

What was the blood like Sprout? Sounds like you're handling it sensibly xx

Just a few streaks of red/brown in with normal discharge (TMI, sorry!) so really minimal and it seems to have stopped now. It did make me consider an early scan I must say but really trying to be patient and save our money.

If it happens to you before Sprout I'm sure there is totally nothing to be concerned about . It happened to me at 6 weeks with my first pregnancy. I had an early scan this time round as my NHS wouldn't be til 14 weeks and I couldn't wait! It was a great experience. Very reassuring but also a lot of money and in most cases only lasts about 5 mins . Hope you're doing ok xx

Thank you, that's lovely to hear. I must say, I wasn't that keen on a January birth day to begin with - my first was a November baby and I vowed I wouldn't have another winter baby! But it is growing on me - the days should just about be getting lighter and I'm sure it'll be spring before we know it, plus there's Christmas to speed up the end part :) I'm just really hoping not to have an early Christmas baby!

14 weeks?! That's a crazy long wait! I'm doing fine now thank you, especially as it seems to have stopped today and, as you say, I just keep reminding myself it happened last time and it was all fine. I also read quite a reassuring statistic - more than half of women who have bleeding in early pregnancy will carry on with no problems.

Had my update scan today. Baby had grown 9mm in 10 days and has a heartbeat. She couldn't see too much because I've got a tilted uterus. I calculated my dates 3 days out at the beggining, I went through my calender and I'm actually 7weeks 3 days and they measured me 7weeks and 2 days. So I'm over the moon. Fingers crossed all stays well and the bleeding stays away.
Hope your all doing well x

Hello ladies according to my app not dr confirmed yet I'm due on 17 January 2017!! Gosh it feels so strange to say it as we are not going public with the news until 12 week scan!! So glad I found this forum needed to tell someone lol!! Xx

Hi! I am due on 6th January but its twins so they are likely to come early! We have had a very long journey to get here so we are quite nervous, did so many tests! Had a few symptoms like nausea, tiredness and going off certain foods. Had an early scan at the fertility clinic last week and I am telling my GP next week.

I have told a few essential people but waiting till 12/13 weeks to tell everyone else.
Very excited and can't believe I'm finally pregnant!

Dswansea, I know exactly what you mean! I just have to talk about it because I still can't believe it's real.

Big congratulations to you Blueflower! I read a bit of your TTC journal and so happy you're here. I wish you all the luck!

My dad just came to Hong Kong for the weekend, and I wasn't planning on telling him but I did! I feel much better for having his support, and introduced him to my partner finally (I don't often go back to the UK, so my family hadn't met him yet). Poor OH was a bit nervous about meeting him, but they got along really well. Phew. Just mum to tackle now - she's trickier!

Congrats dswansea! Looks like there is quite a few off us now! Isn't it so hard not to tell people! A girl at work recently got pregnant and told everyone as soon as she knew I think she was about six weeks! So I kind of wish I had the courage!!
And that must be such a relief Laura! My dad was quite good too thankfully. Wasn't so good with the first haha!
Is anyone else struggling to fit in their trousers yet?!! Mine are getting tight! X

I told a few essential people at work, manager and a few colleagues who have been with me through the treatment. One colleague comforted me when we got our terrible embryo results last year and another was there when I was on tenterhooks waiting to see if the donor had enough eggs to share, so they deserved to know! Also told my sister and best friend. DH thinks I've only told my sister and manager and wants to wait till after the 12 week scan so everyone else will have to wait till then! Its so hard keeping it quiet but it would be worse having to update them if anything went wrong. I don't feel it will though, after everything I really feel that its going to be ok. :)

You all have soooo much self control! We've told my mum step dad, dad step mum, his mum & dad, my sister & my friend! But we have been in and out of hospital this weekend so kinda had to tell them :( xxxxxx

Are you ok?

At 6+5 (I think), my test line on a cheapie is suddenly really light :( I haven't tested in about 5 days, but it was really dark then. I'm worried, so I've send OH out to get a digi. I have an early scan in a couple of hours, so I hope all is ok.

Yesterday I felt sick all day, and gagged on anything strong smelling. I still feel sick this morning, and boobs still sore. I'm crossing my fingers that everything is ok..

I got a digi test and it's still 3+, pretty quick result .

Just got back from my scan and had the absolute shock of my life. It's identical twins. Two. Holy crap!

The doctor was explaining, at the start, that she'll be able to say if it's a viable pregnancy, ectopic, and single or twins. My partner said "you can tell if it's twins today?" and I said "shush, it's not twins". She turned on the scan and it was amazing to see a tiny flickering jelly baby on there, and she said "it's not twins." I said "haha good. Does everything look ok?" she was like "mmhmm.." then her face changed and she was like "there's another one down here!".

I am seriously in shock.
