*** January 2017 Mummies ***

I entered week seven today and suddenly the little VIP has had a serious growth spurt from a grain of rice to a blueberry. It's hard to imagine.
Definitely don't feel like uterus is the size of a lemon though. Mine hurts a lot, so it's obviously growing, but not noticeably so.
I went to the doctor to discuss my antidepressants today. She was going to do some more research, but it seems I might be able to stay on the ones I have, just lower dose, which would be great, because I take for fibromyalgia as well, so was rather worried about having to change.

When you are 6 weeks & Xdays are you technically in week 7 then? I always took it as, at 6 weeks then you are in 6th week and baby is still the size of the pea. I'd be happy to find out that at 6 weeks 2 days I'm in wee 7 and baby is size of blueberry.

I am seriously suffering with exhaustion in work. Nobody knows yet so it's difficult to keep up the act. We haven't got a HR department as such and my manager is a man and I feel uncomfortable telling him. Last time when I told my manager I was pregnant at 16 weeks I burst in to tears as I was so nervous.

No I think its still week 6. At my scan I was 7 1/2 weeks and the embryos were measuring for 7+1 & 7+3.

Can you just tell your one manager for now? I had to tell mine as I'd been off on planned sick leave for IVF so I couldn't not mention it! I did tell her it was very early so I wasn't ready to make any plans and she hasn't told anyone else apart from her manager who gave me a hug but will also keep it quiet! She said she needed to know for Health and Safety reasons. Its also good for someone to know in case you have any issues whilst at work.

Has anyone else had to suffer insensitive people? I told two of my closer colleagues yesterday, as they may have to cover for my appointments. They were good about it, but today over lunch, one of them kept going on about how Hong Kong isn't where he'd want to raise a child, and that he'd want to have bought a house first etc etc. He's 30 and has been with his girlfriend for 8 years, and I've only been with my partner for 10 months and he said "is that really long enough to know someone?"

Fucked off beyond belief. I swallowed it, but I felt so judged.

So sooooooooo rude!!! I've had one or two say , 'are you sure though? You are really young? You could try again later on' .... We were both really scared when we found out so to have some people not support us has been hard xxxxxx

Can I have lots of magic fairy dust sent my way today please ladies.... I have my scan this morning to confirm something is there and it's in the right place Xxxxxxx

Fingers and toes are crossed, let us know how it goes! xxx

I guess there are different ways to count. I was taught that at 6+1 you enter week 7. But from all the different apps I have, there seems to be quite a lot of difference in counting.

BlondieP, fingers crossed here too! Hoping to hear good news soon.

That's awful Laura. :poke: Maybe he's jealous? I haven't yet but may get people asking me to remind them how old I am when I tell them and then asking me if I know the risks!

Good luck today BlondeP! :clover:

Good luck BlondeP!

Congratulations to all the new mommies!

Paige, so glad everything is well :)

Fab twin news Blueflower and Laura!

Got my booking appointment in 2 minutes... she's coming to the house which seems odd as my last one was at a health centre. Place is a right mess as well. Cringe!!!

conrish. How long after your GP appointment did the midwife contact you. I'm waiting for mine to contact me. Last time, the midwife called me withing a cuple of days and my booking in appointment was a week after my GP appointment. It's been 5 days since I spoke with GP and haven't heard anything. I'm just impatient that's all.

Morning sickness has set in for me now. Thankfully just nausea so far, but it's making it hard to focus on work. I had hoped to put of telling people for a little while longer, but I might need to explain to my boss soon.

Yes I've been feeling it this week. Had a headache and been feeling so exhausted. Especially after my food. have to keep eating to stop my self from feeling nauseous.

I told my boss this morning and my colleague. Wasn't planning to but we were in an unexpected private meeting and were planning future work and I thought it seemed right. I didn't tell my boss until I was 16 weeks last time so it feels weird now.

I really can't cope with the exhaustion. I am constantly tired and can't concertrate on anything.

Still couldn't see much but there's clearly a space there but the sonographer didn't want to say for certain she could see anything as we saw a glimpse of something but only on certain angles. Bloods have gone up to over 10,000 now though which they say is a good sign of not being eptopic! so they are confirming with the consultant tomorrow then scanning me again on Monday xxx thanks for all the well wishes xxxx

is it normal for them not to be able to see much on a scan at 6 week +?
did they say perhaps you are not as far along as you thought? good news on the hormone level though.

They think I'm not as far along as I think I am looking at my dates but the levels in my bloods suggest they should be able to see more. So I'm clueless. Was really hoping for a bit more of an answer today but now have to wait again xxxxx

I think it can be difficult to see much at 6 weeks. Hope your scan next week shows more. :hugs:

Sorry you didn't get a better answer BlondeP, but at least it's not bad news. Hoping you get to see properly next week.

Oh how frustrating for you BlondeP but those levels do sound amazing! Fingers crossed the next scan makes things clearer. X
